Thank you. I'll be moving soon to a new place and will try to rebuild the tank. Stay tuned

Nice build and good editing considering just done by phone. These shallow tanks really grew on me. I think an ADA 60f will be my next build - too triggered.

Thanks. Shallow tanks are esthetically very nice. I was also initially thinking about a 60F but went with the 90 and I have to say I didn't regret it. If you have the space, go with the bigger size because it doesn't take you long to realize you can handle a bigger tank.

@@darasaquascapes yea I'd love to go with the 90 but it's for a specific space in my office where the 60 would fit perfectly. As I'm a huge Betta fan, have you ever done a blackwater build?

Beautiful! Did you have problems keeping the sloped aqua soil substrate from sliding down into the sand?

Thank you. Yes, the soil eventually got mixed with the gravel in the front, where nothing was planted. In the planted areas, this wasn't a problem because the roots didn't allow the soil to move much. But in the front, it was a pain to keep them separate. I'd definitely try to design it differently next time.

Really nice scape, but in my opinion, the almost white gravel used in the foreground looks a bit unnatural and detracts from it. Other than that, beautiful tank! :)

Cheers, I agree. I would do it differently for the next tank, since after a while, the gravel mixes with the soil (no matter how careful you are while cleaning) and then it doesn't look good.

@@darasaquascapes I used to have this problem too, but I've started putting the soil in small media bags, and capping it off with sand. The bags have holes large enough for roots to penetrate, but small enough to stop the soil from escaping, though I'm not sure how well this method would work for carpeting plants.
