In 2020, we opened Westside Collector Car Storage Playa Vista after a 4 year construction process. Within 6 months we had sold out and had dozens of happy long and short term clients. We needed more space, and there were other things we wanted that our single facility could not provide, such as room for larger SUV's and Sprinter Vans, and a large parking lot for events. So we found a second property in the South Bay in order to expand! Well after 2 years of construction it's finally here - Westside Collector Car Storage South Bay is open! Matt takes you through all the details of the new facility, discusses the challenges faced in construction, and shares plans for the future of the business.

Former Electroplating Facility. Nearly fell off my chair. I’m sure you did but as a former environmental consultant, I hope you did your EDD and have a well written indemnity package for that space. Congrats. I truly hope all works out and you don’t find yourself at the mercy of the Cal env board.
Not to bring more eyes to this subject but can you further explain? I Googled but couldn’t find anything that made sense.
@@MyMostBeautifuCinema Electroplating usually deals in chemicals that are toxic/cancerous to humans. If there was some sort of slow leak into the soil over the life of the factory, Matt would be responsible for remediation and cleanup and that can be outrageously expensive.
yes of course! I didn't mention it in the video but there is significant environmental remediation required, subsurface injections etc. Fortunately, our ventilation system that is designed to remove car exhaust fumes doubles as a ventilation system for potential vapors that intrude into the building!
Wouldn't those be more of the previous tenants responsibilities anyway or did they go insolvent or something? O why is it your burden to clean up after previous tenant@@TheSmokingTire

Nice Sneakers. As someone who does site planning on Long Island it's interesting to get a glimpse of how stuff is done in LA/Cali. A lot of advanced systems and unique design techniques you would only see in a LEED certified building over here.

He did hold tours at the Playa vista site, you just needed to book through them and not show up last minute.
