  • The Saint-Clair church, located on a hill offering a view of the Revermont allowing you to discover Saint-Martin-du-Mont in the distance and on a clear day the Col de Portes. It houses a painting by the Flemish painter Nicolas de Hoey (1547-1611), entitled The Rise to Calvary, which was the subject of registration as an object as a historic monument in 2000.
The current Church only dates from the 19th century, knowing that its construction took place from 1858 (adoption of the project) to 1864 (blessing of the new church). In fact, the old church (11th or 12th century) was located in the center of the current cemetery, but its dilapidation, completed by lightning in 1849, required the construction of a new building. The dimensions of the project were such that it was erected on the southern limit of the cemetery on the only road which led from Revonnas to the town hall of Montagnat and also required the construction of a new road!! (read the “novel” of construction in the 2008 municipal bulletin (writings by Father Michel Comtet).
In 2016, work was carried out to renovate the facades, the bell tower and the roof, which represents a huge investment by the municipality.
Between 2020 and 2022, the animator Philippe Pin created a very detailed living room format model of the Church of Montagnat
There are at least 2 bells: The largest rings G3 +1, and the smallest C#4 -3
