RUclips compression really doesn't do this game any justice

Yeah the game is largely really dark and that's where compression algorithms tend to start to struggle. There isn't much information there in the first place so compressing not much will just mangle the information.

@@Fabio-ql5yf the compression is making the video smaller in size so you can transfer it(stream it) easier at the cost of loosing visual fidelity. yeah the game will look a lot better in person.

I still think performance mode looks more amazing. They used an upscale technique that makes the game look almost the same, and the 60fps feel... Its like night and day.

Yeah mine is a natural 360p bumped it up to 720 although I have to wait for a while.
I tell you what though, the difference between 240 (or worse 144) and 360 is a galaxy.

@@frighteningspoon As a PC only guy, I have to admit that this generation of consoles is a huge improvement not just in graphics but loading times too. Maybe thanks to AMD getting involved this time.
As for opening comment, RUclips smears the detail a bit so even if you put on 4k, that is likely what you will see on your monitor when you play it even if upscaled.
Finally the game actually looks like how I used to imagine them when I first played them..

So many hours of my adolescence were spent playing this game. So many characters. Almost got the platinum for it, but the pure dark crescent moon stone was a bit hard to farm.

So far I'm pretty impressed with every new game I've seen on these next gen consoles. Glad that our console brethren finally have machines that can do both good resolution and a good frame rate.

Just bought a ps5 to play this after having a pc playing ds3. Looks insane, sounds insane, and the whole ps5 experience is a true treat. I cant believe im seeing a game look like the cutscenes through and through. All the stops were pulled with this one.
Its so amazing how these small corridor linear games (with lower amount of polygons) can have such amazing graphics and open world games can not... I have no idea how that works my mind is blown.

If bluepoint remaking Bloodborne or completely doing a new Bloodborne sequel, that's my time to a PS5... I've played Demon's Soul a decade ago in PS3, platinum the hell out of it, squeeze every last juice of it.

This game will probably be the most talked about game in regards to next-gen launch titles. Very dark gothic look, but my god it’s beautiful! And even watching this while using my AirPods for audio, I can hear the crispness of the sound. This game with the Pulse headset is going to be an experience! Then throw in the DualSense controller affects...yeah... next-gen is here!!
Cant wait for the day when graphics look as realistic as 2019's Lion king.

@@frighteningspoon Not sure why you're that negative in comments. You have to admit that consoles this time are much closer to PC's in terms of hardware and that is for most part thanks to AMD giving them a hand on Xbox side.

@@DeluXeZ3niiTh of course PC performance is always going to be better - you have to sink much more cash into your build than you do into a home console. We are getting incredible specs for the sub $500 mark. A sub $500 PC would basically be garbage for gaming in comparison to the new systems.
@@BennyJackson101 the value is absolutely insane for the PS5! I’ll hopefully be getting it at midnight tonight. I can’t wait to compare it to my $2400 pc that I built over the summer. Console gamers are in for a huge treat! The FPS, menu responsiveness, ray tracing, loading times are all going to be hugely different.

This game exactly looks like the Dark Souls 2 Trailers we got back then where I thought "wow, this game looks insane" ..until I played it and it looked not even close to the trailers.

This is the best sounding game I have ever heard.
This looks incredible. If we could get DS 1-3 and Bloodborne remade with this level of overhaul then I think my head would actually explode.
Duuuuuuude this looks sick like easily one of the best looking games on next-gen consoles, I might even say it ranks up to PC level performance. And that's coming from a PC user's standpoint.

Because its not dark souls. It was before it and has different elements than what are in the souls games
Demon souls, while very similar, was ever so slightly different tonealy (idk know the word but you get the idea) from the souls trilogy in being a little bit more classic fantasy inspired

Perhaps it's because I'm mainly a PC user, but to me it just seems the Ps5 finally caught up to PC ray-tracing levels. Almost as if I've seen this graphic levels before. Still I can't deny these visuals still look Stunning indeed!

They’re not flat. Look up tesselation. It’s been a thing in computer graphics for many years now.
i wish 60fps mode were more common. Having 60fps as an option but most people choosing resolution is the reason companies haven't really cared about frames outside of competitive games

i'm PC master race through and through. for the first time, i gotta say, consoles have finally caught up to high-end pc visuals for the first time. and i'm now definitely getting myself a ps5 or xbox series x.
@Dhaumya23 nah pc's are already ahead of consoles in terms of raw graphical power with the 3000 series. but consoles are finally at that pc high-end level this generation.
