Totally agree with you, as beautiful as it is, it's Benidorm for me too. The night life, first class acts, you can't beat it. A million thanks for showing Croatia, I love going on all your journeys with you, you brighten up my day x
We go for 2 weeks at a time and stay in Lapad. It’s cheaper drinks, food etc. It has a good beach and is still really beautiful. Go to old town a few times on bus.
Even though I do love a good beach the lack of beaches in these cities doesn’t put me off visiting as they are short city break destinations. I personally wouldn’t stay there for a main holiday but then again I wouldn’t stay in any city for a main holiday whether it had a beach or not. City breaks for me are additional trips throughout the year.
I went swimming when I was there kev. The beaches are pebble but not rocky, so just a pair of crocs or sandals will be great. The Adriatic is beautiful to swim in and absolutely crystal clear.
Funny enough I like Croatia's pebble beaches (though they can be small - that would be the main drawback) as the pebble beaches are amazing for snorkelling.
I like my beach SCENERY and the water sports (not so much just lying down and doing nothing on them), but could honestly live with holidays that didn't have them tbh. Never been to Croatia and it looks nice, but seems pretty expensive compared to Spain so would probably stick to Spain regardless (may go one day but I'm no rush honestly). And tbf when I go to places I always prioritise having fun over nice scenery, which Spain seems to have more of from what I've seen/experienced. That's just me though. My personal favourite in Spain is Salou actually just due to the theme park, and the fact it's decently close to Barcelona. Tenerife and Benidorm are amazing too tho.
Surprised again that you never went to Zadar as a shorter trip from Split than Dubrovnik and Zadar is the oldest continually inhabited city in Croatia and it is stunning.
I was booked to go here but didn’t due to floods earlier on in the year, I’m glad I didn’t go as a solo traveler I feel like it’s made for couples. I prefer live entertainment also.
Most of Croatia's beaches are pebble beaches. There are a few sandy beaches but they are not that well known i.e: the town of Nin and a couple of the islands have sandy beaches.
It is good that there are not the beaches in the middle of these resorts. Too many tourists already. People want different things from holidays, and not everyone wants to spend their whole holiday on a sun lounger! Dubrovnik has been ruined by the mega cruise ships depositing too many tourists that just walk around for a few hours a day! Croatia beats much of Spain that you mentioned for scenery and cleanliness. Thanks for filming.
Hi Kevin, to be fair I’m really not fussy about a beach anyway, I like the walks etc, but I like it as you have shown it, beautiful streets , it’s like a maze , yes it’s bit more expensive but as you say if u get a cheap Flight that’s a help , it’s different, and it has Coca Cola. 👏👏👏👍😂😂
Seems a bit of a pointless analogy,if you want a beach holiday you go to somewhere that has a beach, you don't go to Paris or Rome or Madrid etc, etc, etc.
After being in blackpoll 3 days last week Kevin I was shocked to see how it has changed. I have to say it’s a shit hole. So seeing Croatia how lovely it is well done for showing us. Looking forward to Tenerife as first time there Going to ole tropical. You showcased it a bit back
With some obvious exceptions, the beaches in mainland Italy are inferior to those in Spain. But still an extraordinary country to visit. I attach less importance to beaches than I once did. It certainly wouldn't put me off visiting Croatia.
totally disagree you couldnt pay me to go to benidorm or tenerife or any place like that ,beaches dont bother me i prefer walking around, and i dont go to bars with entertainment prefer a nice quiet bar
Not too worried about beaches, it's the scenery that counts. Spain will lose thousands/millions of visitors IF they bring in the rule of taking all visitors bank details and storing them on a database!😱 Delayed already due to hoteliers uproar and hopefully will not go ahead?
Sorry Kev not a place for me as for no beach l have no interest in going to any beach. So beach is not a selling point for me, my heart is with the Canaries Tenerife then Lanzarote.l liked your Sidari and Albufeira videos they did look nice. You lost me though with the city videos l have no interest in using a holiday to visit cities 😁

Nice walkabout, this looks like a great place to visit and as you mentioned for a long weekend, it would be perfect for me!
Lovely weather Kevin looks great 👍 it is beautiful
Beautiful, not worried about having beaches

Fair point

yip sorry maybe next time !
Entertainments what holidays are all about especially when you've got kids that are bored

I would agree it's more a couples resort

I was there during the war and before anyone went on holiday
First one or second 😊😊😊

That’s Lokrum island.
Lanzarote is the best
Lanzarote and Tenerife top resorts for me.
Looks nice Kevin, but those €1 pints are calling , roll on 5/12 back to PLA.
No euro pints here lol

Good point but no beach holiday destinations really in Croatia
It's because it's coastal he is saying this. He knows what a city break is. And by the way it's not an analogy.
@@robertmccafferty5549 how is not an analogy he is comparing a beach holiday to a city break.
@@broadwoodloch That is a comparison not an analogy.

It's just a different type of holiday Spain isn't better or worse I love both but Croatia is a big place maybe you should look at other parts.
i need the sand on my feet thank you .
That arm movement is well traveled 😂
I’m a lard @rse Kev and like to lie on the beach all day 😂
Tenerife, Spain (mainland), Croatia, Gran Canaria and Lanzagrotty and Benidorm last on the Spain/Croatia debate!
With some obvious exceptions, the beaches in mainland Italy are inferior to those in Spain. But still an extraordinary country to visit. I attach less importance to beaches than I once did. It certainly wouldn't put me off visiting Croatia.
Sorry los christianos or benidorm.
I am 80 yrsold itry to eny
Lol, 1000 miles of coast and he not able to find a beach to his liking in top material.
totally disagree you couldnt pay me to go to benidorm or tenerife or any place like that ,beaches dont bother me i prefer walking around, and i dont go to bars with entertainment prefer a nice quiet bar
