There are violent incidents everyday in New York City. It could be turned around in no time at all if the district attorney prosecuted criminals and judges put them away for significant amounts of time. This has nothing to do with the people in the area. I live 30 minutes away in a town in New Jersey where none of this garbage happens. We have no homeless in the streets. We have no shootings and muggings. We have nobody looting our stores. We have nobody carjacking us either. 30 minutes away and 20 mi away and it's like a different planet. The only difference is instead of raising taxes every year to stuff more money in their pockets like they do in New York City, the elected officials in my area actually care somewhat about what goes on around here.
