That sounded like Moffat speak for "Of course I'm doing it!"
Yes, he’s writing for it again.
That’s 100% him doing it
He’s writing 2 episodes
For real lol
"I'd have to be insane" Steven I've watched every episode of Doctor who that you wrote, you are insane.
Cool, cool Steven. So which episode is it?
RTD and Moffat were such a power couple in the 2000s, creating some of the best episodes in the series' history! I really hope he comes back to write some episodes in RTD2!
What he said: I'd have to be insane to do that.
What he meant: I'm doing it.
He didn't say "No". He self-deprecatingly said "I'd have to be insane". Which is exactly his dry self-deprecating humour. He's 100% coming back as an individual episode writer on a show he used to be showrunner of.
Rule #2: Moffat IS insane! He's back!!
Please please please please!
Also he calls it insane but man he can write good stories about a mad man in a box. He had a bunch of lines about the doctor being crazy as a joke…..
In all seriousness the fact that he has said in interviews that he’s thought of what would make a good dw episode since he left makes me feel like it’s hard to believe he’d resist the temptation to put a couple more of his ideas on screen.
Rule 1 Moffat lies.
It’s only an episode so he’s obviously doing one cuz everyone knows we’d all love it?
Not exactly a denial is it?
whenever he answer this question it's never no. it's always not now
I like some Moffat episodes, but I HATED with a passion his showrunning. I slugged through his run, until I got back to RTD. But I would love for him to write an episode or two every now and then.
Maybe not season 14 but hopefully season 15
He said he would be insane and smiled he is 100% writing an episode he would say it constant when it was his era he would be insane if he did something and it turned out he always would do it
If Doctors can go back why cant Doctor Who writers go back?
😂well I guess he is insane
Please dont
says the toddler who probably didnt watch padt Series 5 or 8
It’s a no for me
And how many people at the BBC have contacted you over the decision?
@@LukasOfTheLight none cause who listens to someone who probably didnt even watch past Series 5 or Series 8
Moffat annoys me with his ego “I can’t go back to being junior on a show that I used to RUN”. Even though your friend is in charge?? I’d love to work with a friend like that!
He's making a joke. The point is he's obviously coming back to write an episode because he IS insane and he loves Russell and he loves Doctor Who.
Pretty sure this is a joke. You know how many references and jokes he made during his run about the doctor being a mad man in a box/being a bit crazy?
He clearly writes insane very well.
You could say the same thing about Russell when Moffat was in charge...
@@azngf And Davies was in talks to come back for the S9 opener but circumstances got in the way.
Moffat might actually not want to come back at the moment - he was quite clearly drained at the end of S9, and S10 was him just holding the show together for Chibnall. So it's possible that he's giving an excuse for not coming back, polite shorthand about career moves instead of his actual motivations. But I think there's a good chance he'll do some episodes for the new era. There's some rumors from semi-reputable sources in the community that make it likely.
clearly don't understand british humour.
OBVIOUSLY he's going to be writing for the show, that was the point of what he said and how he said it
