    Well done. The process and interview itself are certainly daunting, especially if you don't have prior experience. You will enjoy the experience, and OCS as a whole. It is a fulfilling endeavor to serve as a US Army Officer in the current military. Take it all in, and don't take yourself to seriously all the time, it'll go by fast.

    I was a draftee in 1968 during the height of the Vietnam war. I ended up graduating from Infantry OCS at Ft. Benning in 8/1969, class 27-69. We were lucky because at the time, due to the need for combat officers, board interviews were waived.

    I have a question man. I finished my interview and it went great. They said they are accepting me and pushing me forward to the next step which is the USAREC board. This is not in person. Did you experience this as well? I’m praying I get selected it’s all I want. Thank you.

    After submitting your OCS packet, do you automatically get an interview before they accept/reject you or can/do they do that strictly based on your packet?

    • @MrCarter85
      @MrCarter85  Год назад +1

      Once you submit your packet, itll be reviewed in its entirety. A decision will then be made on whether or not to send the applicant before the OCS Board for an interview. The interview is the last step and every applicant has to complete it. Once the interview is complete then you will hear back on whether or not you were accepted to OCS.

    • @JukesMcGee

      Christine Sayago i am going through this process and I heard from my recruiter that roughly 80% of the people that make it to the board get accepted. My board date is march 8th.

      Christine Sayago i literally found out a couple hrs after my interview that I had gotten accepted! We werent briefed on the passing rate for my particular group but it is of my understanding that the majority of people end up passing for the board.

    My board is coming up next month.

    • @MrCarter85
      @MrCarter85  5 лет назад +2

      I swore in sept and shipped out jan 2nd since it was the end of the fiscal year. During the interview process my apft scores were not brought up at all. My score was a 284 at the time. Just focus on the interview questions and continue working out! You will be fine!

    Where you previously enlisted. I am trying to go in reserve officer, will that be had for them to accept me🤔

    • @MrCarter85
      @MrCarter85  5 лет назад +1

      Wilde Japito i wasnt prior. I’d imagine the need for reserve officers is a lower priority nonetheless there are some reserve candidates that are in ocs with me currently. Id say just make sure your packet is squared away the best it can be and you shouldnt have a problem.
