I know I'm late to the party, but Stanley going back for a cookie even though I don't remember him ever actually donating blood is also indicative of how he treats relationships - he takes, but rarely gives; what with his multiple women all unaware of each other lol.
The joke is that he never did give blood. He and Phyllis used a cotton ball and tape while the blood people used bandaids. And his wife very much knew about his secret girlfriend. She caught them a few times already.
I love gossip but I would rather it be gone than have stanley be cheating on his wife. Hes a funny character with great moments but that episode ruins him for me and for many others. This comment wouldnt exist if that episode wasnt made.
Genuinely happy, being a part of the joke Michael is always good. Idk if it's just the face that Steve Carell makes or what, but for a guy that goes through as much as he does, when he's happy, things are good. Idk why people get mad at Pam for blowing off the guy selling something that would replace her, as if they would willingly bring in their own replacement, but hating Pam is like a breath of fresh air for them, so it is what it is. Ironically, this would logically be the opening for an Office Administrator position to be created, but that's neither here nor there.
There was also a Halloween episode with Creed splattered with blood that he didn't know it was Halloween...just going timing...was that anything to do with him stealing blood here?

There is more of their storyline in the deleted scenes. If you’ve never watched these videos they are amazing. It’s like 5-15 minutes of extra show per episode and they are all on RUclips. I’m not sure if they completely resolve this storyline but there’s added detail.

It works for me, in our town the red cross does blood drives on Valentine's Day and Halloween. It's kind of cute, they have full themes costumes both days (and holiday themed cookies and juice)
I love your stuff but you were a little sneaky with your rating here. You were surprised that it was 8 out of 10 thinking that was low, but then ranked it 4 out of 5 yourself which is the same exact thing. Then you started talking about some people might be upset with how high you ranked the episode but your rank is the same as IMDB. You contradicted yourself homie just saying if you liked it that much give it a 5 out of 5.
Doesn't the MYSTERY girl come up to the office holding the Sheet that's SO Neat, er ah, but, hey, she doesn't match up to the standards that Micheal DEMANDS, and so, she is quickly dismissed...
The cookies aren't a payoff. You need to replenish your body after losing 1/8th of your blood, so you need to sit and drink juice/water/etc. and eat cookies or chips. Meanwhile, they watch you to make sure you don't faint. (They also ask you if you've eaten, to catch stupidity like Michael barely eating for two days...which is why he passes out.). The fact that cookies are delicious treats is just a bonus.
So I'm not going to blast you, but I do disagree with the 4 out of 5 rating. I watched this episode last week (it was on Comedy Central one night when I was trying to fall asleep) and its just one of those episodes that I watch because its The Office and is better than anything else at 1 am, but definitely not one of my faves. Nothing specific other than its just kind of boring and drags a little bit. I wish they would have pursued the lost love connection with the glove as opposed to focusing on the lonely hearts party. And I've never found the double date dinner very interesting or funny. That"s just my opinion though. Also, I hope you "thrive on constructive criticism" and you know how much I love your field guides. But I think its so more interesting when you focus on The Office tidbits and back story info as opposed to things like the history of Valentines Day and the science of blood types. As I said above though, that's just my opinion. I think you're talented and amazing and look forward to your videos every week.

Once, at the very end of the Duel, I said, "Man, I had a whole thing about the history of duels that I didn't even get into." And I had a bunch of comments wishing that I went with my gut on that, so thought I'd go with it here. As for the episode, I get it. I kind of expected some interesting comments about my rating. I'm not trying to sway anyone's opinion. The Double Date is the weakest part I think . The Office stuff inside the Office was good Office stuff though.

I wonder if this is true in Australia and the rest of the southern hemisphere, or if it's six months off? While holidays is part of it, a big cause of it is you're stuck in the house not wanting to go out in the cold, snuggling by fires, etc. My roommate in college remembers his mom talking about the worst snowstorm where his parents were just stuck in their house for over a month...and he realized his birthday was nine months after that.
