      hold Ray accountable for his own opinions...you made your comment assuming that he shared a viewpoint that he actually doesn't. So yes, its fairly obvious why u assumed he was for anthem protests. but it doesn't matter, his opinion is outdated and archaic and part of the problem. That's the reasons that negative tensions have festered, because athletes from Ray's generation never stood for anything other than making a buck!

    I love how Joy doesn't forcefully interject or interrupt the way Molly does. I know Molly wants to establish her presence on the show so we can all see she's very much a part of it but it just becomes incoherent and SAS ends up screaming over her. When Joy speaks everyone pays attention and listens to her. When Shannon, Skip and Ray are speaking we listen to them. It's not like First Take where nobody knows who is talking or what is being said because they're too busy screaming at each other

    So, just so we're clear, Shannon Sharp is ALL for Kaepernick and co. protesting the flag for political reasons and defends their right to do so, but is quick to point out how supporting specific presidential nominees can divide a locker room?

    • @VintageConsoleGaming

      Kaepernicks's protest, by definition, is a political protest. He has also criticised those politicians (rightly or wrongly) as well in interviews, so there's really no way denying that it is a political stance that he's taking.Jose Brador

    • @VintageConsoleGaming

      elias mccracken not just race baiting, but any form of division within society.

    • @VintageConsoleGaming
      @VintageConsoleGaming 8 лет назад

      I agree with what you're saying, but I don't think you're seeing my point. I can't see how Sharp can celebrate Kaepernick's protest (which is honestly, more polarizing than even the presidential race) around the role of police in the community and BLM, and for bringing even more attention on the topic and dragging his team into the middle of it, but then say that the presidential race itself is "too divisive for the locker room". It just reeks of a contradiction and a double standard, because he likes one movement/action, but doesn't like the other.

    • @D2A962
      @D2A962 8 лет назад

      Jose Brador "So yes, while it is a political stance, it has nothing to do with these types of politics. " Oh please dude what a word salad. Obviously you want to have your cake and eat it too.

Why invent an imaginary problem about "dividing locker rooms" and treat that as the core assumption? Just discuss the politically divisive nature of politics or relition on teams.

    So leave politics out of the locker room, ok to show your activist beliefs, hide your religion, and come out of closet with regards to your sexuality.
    Glad I was around when Charles Barkley said he's not a role model, he just a very good basketball player.

    Shannon is overplaying how diverse NFL teams are, it's like 95% black/white. Baseball and Soccer bring in way more interest from other groups.

      Its not about interest from other groups, lol. White people have interest in football, look around in the stands. black people just DOMINATE the sport. I played many football teams in high school where 80 percent of the team was compiled of white players, they just don't make it far.

    • @henryjw15

      Slates Foster depends on position, the o-line is most likely white, the tight end, quaterbacks.
      Then there's is mix between linebackers and d ends, then secondary and receivers are black.

If you use fighting words or you start condemning people for their beliefs or views that's where the problem begins, its not because we have different views its the condemnation of those views.

    Everyone is piling on about First Take. I love this new show but remember ITS NEW. Everyone loved First Take when it was new too. I'm sure eventually people, white people in particular, will get tired of Shannon and say he's always playing the race card blah blah blah.

      DGMT yes. I loved playing rugby and i got more respect from my rugby coaches than (HS) football coaches. Their were no favorites on my rugby team. While on my HS football team, the coaches had their favorites.
