This actually an outstanding. I would further it by saying their employer should have them do this in front of all of their coworkers fir an hour or two. Everyone should be free to speak their minds, challenge their apology and even call them names. Everything is fair gsme. And this is 1 code, that I'm grateful of exposure b/c now, for every athlete on a team where they are or feel someone else is racist, if your team wins with minorities, who will you give credit to? Skip, I'm sure you are not alone, but the bigger issue is how can white males like you, stand and mandate the assisted change that's needed!
I asked the same question about what can I do as a white male to get change going. I may not ever experience what black people go through but I know what's going on is wrong and it must stop. So what can I do as a white person to help promote change?

Just you acknowledging what's happening is a start, the more people like yourself separate and condemn racism. A solution (not the only solution) is to genuinely be sympathetic of what's going on. But to truly be sympathetic of the very handicaps they undergo and some of the unfortunate results that occur b/c of the lost hope of many blacks/minorities.
For ex. If any one reading this, do you recall the movie "Trading Places" Staring Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd.
