The tickets never expire. Go back sometime there's tons to do on the island.
Loved when I would go down to the boardwalk. Wildwood is bringing back memories
Overheard a smart person say let’s go to Wawa.. You should go there my man!!
Sean Armstrong our ears are trained to hear the word “wawa” around here. It’s a built in survival mechanism 😂
Can't believe 17 people gave this a thumbs down! It's a boardwalk with attractions. It's exactly what it's supposed to be! What did you expect? On the bright side, so far 750 intelligent people gave it a thumbs up!
Watch the tram car please , watch the tram car please sounds of Wildwood
I fn hate that fn car
Pretty much.
I hate that sound a lot
Yeah
Watch the tram car please.... This place has not changed since I was a teen
Every time we go to Sea Isle we gotta hit the boards in Wildwood just to hear "watch the tram car please!"
I remember that! I’ve been here a million times! It’s been like 30 years since they started that “watch the tram car please” thing
@@wartwyndhaven - Longer than that! I had a pin that said "F**k the tram car please!" in the mid-1980s.
W A T C H T H E T R A M C A R P L E A S E
ACTUALLY IT HAS, NEW CONVENTION CENTER, NEW PIERS, ETC. ALL OLD HOTELS KNOCKED DOWN FOR CONDOS. WILDWOOD LOST ITS DOO WOP IDENTITY. AND MAIN STREET IS A GHOST TOWN. AND THEY ALSO HAVE AN OPOID PROBLEM PER NEWSPAPER
"I shot a man in Jersey just to watch paint dry"
When I hear that tram car repeating, I hang my head and cry...
I was JUST up the boards last night, you might've walked right past me, munching on Curley Fries. Omg, sooo good.
Small world. Wildwood is My hometown. (Actually, North Wildwood, but whos counting)
:)
Wildwood was a huge part of my childhood and I still visit every year.
Also watch the tram car please.
Same here. My family and I went every year uptill the early 90's.
Watch watch watch watch the train car watch watch
You're in my home state!! Welcome!! :)
Go visit Cape May! Seriously, you're so close anyway!
Cape May is great! Visited it many years ago...loved the feeling of strolling into the 1800's with the gas street lamps.
You got the zoo and look for diamonds!
Jessica Britanak Zoos amazing!!
My favorite vacation. Go there every year!
I'm from Maryland and absolutely love Wildwood, Cape May County and a lot about the state. 95% of people in my state think Ocean City (Md) is the greatest with the best boardwalk on earth. Used to try to sell em on Wildwood but lately bite my tongue more, the poor bastards! Lol 🤣
Thanks for the quick Wildwood fix, I was about to head to the boardwalk last week but didn’t because it was supposed to rain! Best boardwalk around!
I was just there. Curley's Fries and Sam's Pizza are a meal any night of the week.
Broooo real shit
I love morey's pier, I go every year, since I was a kid, and Jacob, Dante's dungeon used to be Dante's inferno, and the ghost ship is awesome
Used to be Dante’s Inferno.. Loved that ride!
I haven't been there in about 40 years. The only place i really remember was called Hunt's Pier which had some odd rides like a Jungle cruise and a walk through pirate haunt as well as a mine train ride. Apparently it suffered a lot of storm damage in the late 90s and is now mostly used as storage. Thank you for the visit.
That's Hunt's Pier! For a little while in the 90s it was Dinosaur Beach. Then it went back to being storage again... Some of the rides were sold off to amusement parks. The Golden Nugget was completely ruined by the park that bought it. The remaining rides are sort of just rotting there.
It was even more epic in the 80s w Dracula's Castle (*I heard*) I shoulda told my mum you were coming by lol. Great vid!!
NOTHING like that good ole Amusement park!!!!!😄❤
Lmao the guy at the paintball
U liked it
Jason's Journeys loved it 😂
5:37 That sound like my dog at 3 AM after hearing a noise
Wildwood use to have a kick ass haunted house with boat ride underneath haunted boat ride of course but fire damaged it
Do you happened to remember when it burned down? I used to visit often during the 80's and early 90's with my family.
Castle Dracula burned down in 2002. I can still hear the creepy music playing in my head, miss that place!
@@mr.berardine1694 early 2000 comment below says 2002 that's sounds about right
@@Jessiboo7 omg yess I reamber the boat Rd underneath and the castle you walked in and it looked like a straight drop down and I was really dark down the hallways witch is scary the not knowing .
It was so creepy! I wish they had rebuilt it, but I think there were a couple of haunted attractions in that spot that caught fire, or maybe that one caught fire a couple times.
Love Wild Wood 👍🤘 been going there since I was a kid in the late 70's early 80's. Wish they never got rid of the Flyer. It wasn't the biggest or best coaster, but it was really cool and one of the first. Also the Golden Nugget was a really cool ride. Carpet bagger would have loved it because he's seams to be into dark rides and I think the Golden Nugget would have been considered one. Any way great video. Haven't been there in a couple years. Gonna have to make the trip 🤣👍🤘
Was juat here last Thursday
Grew up on this boardwalk.
I live about 65 miles away. I would drive down to get a slice of pizza and people watch with friends then drive home.
Prom weekends and Senior Weeks.
My kids love it too.
Thanks for showing the rest of the world. ❤
The ghost ship is freaking AWESOME
Wildwood is my old hangout many.many years ago thanks for the memories
Thank you so much for this Video Jacob. That place is my earliest childhood memories. Very grateful.
Really good Wildwood Boardwalk video. Well-shot and steady, pleasant commentary, no trendy ultra-fast cutting or goofy fast motion, and without any of the usual horrible, irritating machine music added in the background. Very refreshing -- like a dip in the ocean. :)
I recently found your channel and I love it. I've always wanted to find an actual Zoltar machine when I was a kid my favorite movie was BIG. I've tried a ton of similar machines but never an actual Zoltar. I love that you are able to travel and do things you love and share it with us, I apire to get my work to a point in the near future where I can be more mobile. Cheers to you Sir.
Carpetbagger shot a man in Wildwood just to watch him dye.
I been going there since 1966. Not every summer, but often. Hope it stays relatively the same. Great experience for all ages.
Omg that was such a rollercoaster of emotions because I was SO sad for you that Dante's wasn't open AND THEN IT WAS! This video makes me so homesick and I'm super excited you finally got to visit
Omg so exciting! I'll be there next weekend! I love Wildwood 💙
Quite possibly the best boardwalk in the country… Just came back a few weeks ago. When I was there, the rides were open until 11 o’clock at night. Really well run piers and very clean.
Thank you for your wonderful content Jacob. It makes my day.
Hi Jacob awesome vlog at the Wildwood, NJ Boardwalk. They have amazing rides. Have a wonderful Summertime👍🏻🤡
Lived in Ocean City NJ for a few yrs long time ago. A bunch of us would get in the car and go down to Wildwood on a Saturday night.
I miss Wildwood, actually I miss NJ.
Thanks for that lill rush of anxiety and claustrophobia I hate mirror mazes
"It's pretty lame." proceeds to get lost in said lame maze lol.
Love the carousel. Also love the Carpetbagger screams of terror. The hot dog stand’s name is pretty funny though.
This place is such a huge memory lane
When I was 7, my mom took me through a haunted house at Wildwood, and she yelled at the people doing jump scares at me...lol. Looooong time ago now.
I love that place. My family has gone there since my mom was a child. Beaches are the best. Boardwalk is great. So many great memories.
My stomping grounds!!!! Oh those Wildwood days ❤ thanks Jacob.
Well, shoot. You win some, you lose some. Good investment on the umbrella 😊👍
Wildwood nj is the first place I saw KISS back in 1975
Yo carpetbagger cool to see you at wildwood I myself live in new Jersey and have gone to wildwood since I was a kid hope you enjoyed the thrill and fun
You have to try the ghost shop walk through next time. It’s worth it
All I need for a good chuckle is to watch Jacob getting scarred and yelling 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😄😄😄
I was there two weeks ago for three days, I love that place, a lot of fun!
was just there three weeks ago, going back next month!! we go every summer!!! so funny to see you there!!
I haven't been there in ages. Thanks for the memories, man!
I used to go to WildWood every summer, this really brings back some awesome memories
this is where i used to vacation every year as a child man do i miss it
I was there last year with my wife and my son is a great place to go with your family I see there for three weeks.
Watch the Tram Car please...glad you got to come see Wildwood,NJ. Been going there since I was a youngster. Great video!
The screaming got me 😂
I went to Wildwood once in was pretty cool. I'll probably go there again someday.
I haven't been there since I was a kid . It was always fun.
I'll be here in August 👍👍 been coming since I was a baby and it's a family tradition.
Your videos are on fire !! Awesome thanks!
Ugh i grew up going to wildwood so pumped youre there!
Do you remember me telling you about Ridleys in Wildwood? No museum.just the adventure maze, I got lost in there my self a few times. Great boardwalk the best I’ve ever been to. Sorry in rained during your visit.
I love 😍 going to things like this. I'm not much of a ride person, but I do love me some games and gift shops at the broadwalks😋
Glad you had fun in my town
I was thinking of the movie 'Us' when you were in the funhouse. 😊
I've been going to the wildwoods since I was a kid and going end of August can't wait love it hopefully you can get back down there again to redeem your tickets well worth it
I have fond memories of Wildwood, NJ, one of these years i need to spend a week down there.
always check your weather before buying your tickets lol
It’s a shame the Ghost Ship was closed... it’s really an awesome walk through. If you ever come back to Wildwood, I recommend staying at the Caribbean Motel... it’s a few blocks from the boardwalk, and it’s a total time warp of a motel. Plastic palm trees, yellow dressers, zebra print chairs, a giant blue neon sign on the roof... who could ask for more?
1:30 I start pee laughing
Awww, you didn't visit the Arcade Museum... unless it isnt there anymore. It was there several years ago.
Randy good kicked out of the mall. He reopened in a smaller location. He's getting closer to opening Randyland with his huge complete collection.
Yes, Jacob, get a tour of Randyland! It is quite something.
Like someone else said, he got booted out of the mall because the owners wanted to redevelop it. Even then, I know he had a big “no photos” policy - supposedly, the light from cameras would damage the paint on his cabinets, so he wanted to prevent that. I don’t know how he would’ve felt about video, but I doubt ol’ Jacob would’ve had the best of luck with that!
Great video as always. I guess when it rains everything closes.
I lived in Wildwood And in the winter you can actually walk down the streets and not see a person or a car for miles! It made me feel like I was the only one on earth! I loved it!!
Favorite place on earth ❤️
Dude! Are you still there ? I’m like 20 mins from wildwood boardwalk I love your channel
Im right down the street
@@gabrielnj1 I'm 2 hours away. . .if we knew ahead of time he could have been hanging out with a bunch of Real Jersey Boys lol
You're killing me! Lol I was just there over the weekend!
love your videos Mr. Carpetbagger.
I spent most of my summers in Wildwood going to the boardwalk. Too bad the rides were closed! Dracula's Castle was the bomb in the day. This one smaller haunted house was so extreme people used to come out of there bloodied. Oh those sweet days without safety regulations.
"Shoot a man in the face with a gun, sounds like a good night to me"......Oh No! 🤣
The piers with rides are open from noon until midnight every day throughout the summer season. If lightning or heavy rains they need to close the rides. Go back during peak season ( June, July, August) and you will not be disappointed. Look up Castle Dracula. It was the best dark ride in history located on the boardwalk from 1976 to 2002. You missed it! Thanks for the entertaining video!
I love it here!!!! I wanna go back so bad!
Good one Mr. Bag! If ya come back home through Northeast VA wave by Yorktown!
DUDE! IM HERE NOW! WHERE ARE YOU?!
Wow i was there only 3 weeks ago... wish I could've shown you around especially the local bars.
Looks like great fun
We will be in Wildwood tomorrow can’t wait for Polish Water Ice and a Snow Whites roast beef sandwich
Next time you're in Wildwood, eat at Maui's Dog House. They serve food in dog bowls and have a delicacy called "salty balls". I believe it was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
I loved the mirror maze.
Have you ever been to Howe Caverns in New York. It's a great place.
Yes the aquarium is open....
The other dark ride by the water park is better... yes the ship!
The ship kicks ass
Man !! You should tell me when you're in NJ. I got mad stories about most amusements current and gone... :-(
I believe that dark ride is trying to recreate the legendary castle Dracula from the 80 and 90s. It was a huge haunted house with walk through and carts. It burned down decades ago however
pika23 I remember that castle in the late 70’s early 80’s. Scared the hell out of me and my brothers. It had a dungeon boat ride below the castle and the walk through above. There was another awesome haunted house next to the planet of the apes ride too. Loved going there on vacation.
@@daveprostock2622 I always wanted to see it. I lived on the other part of the shore in point pleasant
I’ll be there next week! Love wildwood! I’ll take your Moreys pier tix 😂😂😂
I’ve been going to North Wildwood since I was an infant. I still spend half of my summer down there. Go to Russo’s for a cheesesteak next time, 9th and Ocean.
Cool mirror maze and dark ride
My favorite vacation spot! =)
come back and go through the pirate ship with those tickets, i love that haunt
Yay wildwood one of my faves!!!!
my home💕 i grew up there, year round i miss it
