  • So my rear rotors were thrashed after I destroyed my stock brake pads on the track (live and learn). I needed new rotors ASAP, and Mountain Pass Performance came through for me... I was going to run the Unplugged Performance rear carbon ceramics, but they were not available at the time.
Check out the install and how to swap out these rear brake pads!

Hey, I enjoy your videos, keep them coming 👍
Next time you could just remove the e-brake electric motor and just use an hex key to screw the piston in, takes only a couple of minutes 😎👍

Thanks for this. I saw a video where a mechanic used a 12 volt battery prepared and turned the piston back in, without the use of a bidirectional sacnner.

This is a first to me seeing the "rear" calipers... These Should be 4 piston from like a large truck like a 2500 Silverado, the Camaros are too small, even though they are much larger than the Plaids.. The weight of a Model S warrants this along with upgraded brake lines. The fronts need to be six piston oversized according to the weight of the vehicle, or 8 pistons, both with oversized rotors considering the larger wheels. The Plaid is very capable in accerlation, now with these brake upgrades it would be able to pull down from 120- to 200 MPH. Always great content! Thanks!

lol, Tesla faked the fixed caliper look by putting a cover on the floating caliper……cheap…i love how they put dual caliper on the rear b4, now it is all about cost cutting, even on the high end model s and x….shame
