Tips for finding healthy food at ski resorts. It seems to be all pizza, pasta, chips etc - where’s all the fresh fruit & veg, salad etc? This is one reason I generally go self catering and tend to take packed lunches. But still, it must be possible to find something healthy out there on the mountains without paying the earth.
Hi Flo, Hope to see you again in Tignes in December. This season at last I'm entitled to a Free Ski Pass 🤗 I cant wait for winter again... Having to live it up at the Fridge in Hemmel
Hi... great to hear from you ..thanks for your message ...OMG the fridge..hang in there winter won`t be long ...Congrats on the free lift pass ...see and hopefully ski with you in December 😁
Thanks for asking! What please do you suggest I do with my skis until next season? Is it worth putting some WD 40 on the edges, to stop them rusting? Thanks again, loved the videos through the winter and have a great Summer.
In terms of training, I think Mountain Biking covers many of the aspects of training for skiing as, not only is it a great leg and cardio work out, it is also a flow state sport (a much overlooked but extremely relevant aspect of skiing). Personally I find muscle tiredness, in skiing, is often caused by poor technique however my "skip leg day" theory left me with weaker legs that might have exacerbated my knee injury (although a large portion of that is my lack of ski maintenance). What do you do in summer? Not tempted for some July/August pow in Las Leñas?
Hi Floss, NevSki here. I hope you have some good summer plans. I need to buy some new ski boots, which is something that I know nothing about. I hear people talk about flex but could do with some pointers. I'd like them to help me perform on and off piste and be comfortable. Is their weight a factor? As I get older, I worry about 2 heavy lumps on my feet all day. Thanks Floss, see you in December NevSki
Hi Floss - now 61 years young skier.. I am finding my 185cm GS skis (Salomon XRace) too taxing to ski black mogul fields (though huge fun for cruising still). I am looking for a super stiff shorter slalom ski with a lot of edge and response. I bought a pair of Dynastar Speed 4x4 171cms after reading a good review in Ski Club magazine but have been very disappointed but their lack of edge and responsiveness.. What would you recommend as a great responsive ski with loads of bite??
Skiing daughter (17) non skiing father, looking for quality ski destination in Europe with good snow for 10-20 December 2024. Lifts near hotel, hotel is luxury, walkable to town centre, great apres and not too far from an airport. Flying ex LHR. Thanks

Your winters must be tough. What's the one thing that keeps you getting up in the morning?
How do you prepare for the winter? What's your exercise routine pre winter?
Do you have a specific diet that helps you stay fit and healthy?

Hey Floss - did the fellowship of the snowshoe in Turkey convince you to leave the skins at home next time?!🤣
