Hi, Just started down the gym getting ready for January. I will add more core exercises. I tend not to use the bike but the cross trainer, I am not sure if that is any good. Our trouble is it is as flat as a pancake here and there are some very dangerous drivers around. All the people I know who cycle get up at 03:00 and go then and I just can’t. In any case great to see you back with the channel and see you in January.
Thanks for your message .. omg ! Biking at 3am is far too early .. cross trainer works! Is there a spin class near you that you can join? See you in January 😀
This is ace thanks Floss! I'm wondering if my sessions going backwards on a cross-trainer would do the same job as your backwards treadmill. I like your core exercise suggestions too.
@@FreeFloFloss it's something I always include in my cross-trainer sessions (partly to break up the tedium!). It does seem to work the back of the legs a bit more. I haven't tried walking backwards on a treadmill though!
Otherwise, my DIY training regime includes trying to do lots of hillwalking (I reckon walking downhill is pretty good for those ski muscles) - ticking off Wainwright peaks is a good motivator to push the distance (and speed in the winter months when you are up against the clock with daylight hours). And I sign-up for a couple of hilly 10k trail races, which also add to the training motivation! More cycling is a good shout though.
Great video Floss, pleased to say I have been doing some of those. Definitely need to try walking backwards on a treadmill, though.
🎉 well done Steve ! You must be so much fitter this year than last year ..

Hi Cath thanks for your message. Give the cross trainer a go backwards and let me know how you get on.

@@cathsanders1631 Hillwalking is ok if you have a heavy pack. Biking and trail running works better if you can do more of those
