No, the stadium's security would've been watching the crowds-baseball mitts, rolled-up player posters, a promotional t-shirt over an arm. *Never* would've let a man open an umbrella along the way. Never would've allowed departing spectators slow down to have a spat with others passing by in the opposite direction, much less refer to them as "pretty boy". You would have *felt* an Army-like presence in the streets that day, but none of this happened. It was a violation of the *most basic* protection codes that exist. And it's the best indication of a massive plot in Queens.

“The spit then splashed off the wrist, pauses- in mid air, mind you- makes a left turn, and lands on Newman’s left thigh.”
    Best quote. Hands down.

Not the only fun "Seinfeld" had with Oliver Stone. I think the episode about Jerry's father's fall from grace at Del Boca Vista makes a "Nixon" reference.

Ive seen this episode a million times, lie most people. But, I just now noticed some of the very subtle details in the scene, like the allusions to "Umbrella Man" as well as the nod to Abraham Zapruder, fucking brilliant

    June 14th, 1987.
The Mets were in Pittsburgh playing the Pirates that day. Not only did the Mets win, Hernandez played a clean first base and homered in the fourth inning to start the scoring.

This to me, is when seinfeld really started to find its feet. Oh sure season 4 was the breakout season but season 3 was already laying down the traintracks. This is their first classic episode. Very funny.
