    Polish people know english :P You don't need to show two fingers for two cups of coffee :D

    • @pejapl13
      @pejapl13 8 лет назад +23

      People do it everywhere not just Poland. You could be English buying coffee in England and still show 2 fingers

    • @FromAsgard32
      @FromAsgard32 8 лет назад +19

      Showing fingers can be helpful, but people in Poland have English in school for... at least nine years. It's compulsory. Majority of the Poles (especially young) know English and can comunicate, however, it's typicall that they're a little bit shy at the beginning :)

      bullshit lol I speak english fluently and most polish people DO NOT know how to converse with me, stop this bs

    • @pejapl13
      @pejapl13 8 лет назад +4

      GBKrystyna Hohol that's because 90% of Polish people in UK don't know English and they won't learn it because they don't need it when working in warehouses.

    • @tropicalfruit4571
      @tropicalfruit4571 8 лет назад +1

      Nah bullshit. Not much young people is working as cashiers and such so the majority of english speaking people is not there to help you... I met Marine in Gdański and he told me that it's a freaking struggle to get anything at shop or even restaurant sometimes. But even if they speak english they just go shy when someone asks them a question in english.

      Hey, don't be so hard on them. This is not ignorance. This is brave. I loved what they did. They came to Poland not knowing what to expect, without prejudice they show how things really are.

    • @blotski
      @blotski 8 лет назад +11

      +Joanna Ajwes "Where do you guys have been living?" should be = "Where have you guys been living?". Sorry, I would never normally correct somebody's English because there's no point but you were being mean to them and if you're going to call other people ignorant maybe you need to be reminded you're not perfect yourself.

    Unlike England, polish people learn English at a very young age, most of the films at the cinema are in English, rmfm (very popular radio station ) radio plays 95% English songs. so yes the polish are ahead of us in the language department lol

    I am From Nicaragua, living already one year in Poland, I like this country very very much, and is not the country the weird thing in this video but you both, behaving like neanderthals coming out from the cavern from the first time. Language can be hard to learn but a lot of polish speaks english very well.

    • @lisettelachat1870

    • @FeatherandtheWind
      @FeatherandtheWind  8 лет назад +3

      +Belphegor83 We agree, language is hard to learn and something we're always working on. Right now we're learning Hungarian and Italian while trying our best to communicate in the countries we visit. Our main reason for travelling to Poland was actually to teach English at a school in the countryside but we loved the country so much that we stayed to visit some of the beautiful cities. Esperemos que disfrutes de tu tiempo en Polonia - es un país muy hermoso.

    Hi guys thanks for visiting Poland and presenting it to the World in such a funny and friendly way.
    I found your channel yesterday and watched all the polish videos at once. Speaking of polish language: even though it is one of the most difficult languages to learn, many ambitious Asians do learn polish out of their love for F. Chopin and his music. I learned english in Canada :)

    • @FeatherandtheWind
      @FeatherandtheWind  8 лет назад

      I live and work in the UK. Your videos have inspired me and I am thinking of developing a web site for people who'd like to spend their holidays (vacations) in Poland. It'd make sure they'd have a great time in Poland. Perhaps I could use your videos (links) as snapshots of main polish cities from an english speaking tourists point of view? It would benefit us all: you'd get new subscribers and I would have great material to work with? ps. I lived in Montreal for over 3 years

      Dear Mr Baumberg. If I'm correct in my calculations people with this 'last name' were put straight into the oven without any ID check around 70 yrs ago by German Nazi troops in concentration camps. (That was one hell of a history)
      To the "Feather" Team (if I can call you this way) does not matter where are you from, you are always welcome in my homeland, simply avoid anyone with a last name ending with "berg", there are only few and they think they rule the world, but they are harmless. Once again, I recommend you our "Pieniny" and appreciate your stay last time in the mainland. You are always welcome. All the best to you!

    I don't know how I found this video. It's funny coz I live in Grodzisk Mazowiecki. This cafe you were in. I wouldn't recommend it. There are far better places for a coffee in Grodzisk. At first I couldn't understand why are you looking for coffee shops. In Amsterdam it's a shop where they sell weed. "Ummm do we have a shop like this in Grodzisk and I didn't know about this? :) check out pierogi :) most foreigners love them :)

      You can found coffee shops in Google maps and in bigger towns even recommend places with ratings .....but the best way if you travel is TO ASK LOCALS HAHAHA BUT YOU NEED SPEAK THEM LANGUAGE

    I like milky coffee (Latte-even I prefer cold) and I always buy some milk, or I have condensed in Gostynia in my car ...: D

    Hey guys! I came across your channel only a couple of days ago but I have binged watched SO many of your videos now ! I love that you go off the beaten track, are really informative, relaxed and show both your personalities.
    But I wanted to let you know of an awesome app for when you don't know the local language.... you may already know it by now. But its just Google Translate the app :)
    You can pre-download certain languages for free and either take a photo of a menu, sign or bus timetable and it will translate that to english for you! So cool!
    Thanks for your videos! Nina
