I have been following you guys around all summer. You're videos of Mexico, Canada, and Poland thus far have been motivating me to travel and also do my own Vlog. Thank you for always being adventurous, funny, and good with your camera. Looking forward to more videos. Expect me to comment from here on out since before I was kind of shy. Saludos from Chicago!
So nice to hear from you Juan! Starting is usually the hardest part but we're so happy to hear that our videos have inspired you to travel :) Thank you for joining us on our journey and we hope to follow your adventures too!
Hey guys im a polish but actually i live in Sweden. its really nice to see you enjoying the time you've been in that country. you are a great couple i find you on youtube yesterday and i definitley waiting for more.
I went to Poland for a three-week study abroad and loved it so much that I want to go back next summer! I'll have to visit some of these places while I'm there.
I have really enjoyed the video, you seem to be a perfect couple who's enjoying their life! Arek did a fantastic job, and I would strongly recommend him to start his own RUclips channel, because this was brilliant!!! Thanks mate for trying to show things from a different perspective, and people all around the world might actually appreciate your work when they decide to visit places you have been to! Ziomek jesteś zajebisty, Pozdro!
I've enjoyed watching your videos from Poland, I was also there this past summer (2016) for two months and they're bringing back great memories for me. I traveled alone, but in some cities like Kraków and Poznań, I visited friends who lived there. I certainly wish I knew Arek while I was in Warsaw this August, because I didn't know anybody there and pretty much explored the city on my own for four days. I love Warszawa, and I will return, for sure. It was interesting to watch you from your first video in Poland, especially since you didn't know anything about the language there. I'm not Polish but I was lucky to already know some things about Polish language, how to read signs, train schedules, pronounce words because of my involvement in a Polish cultural organization in my city. (piwo is always a good word to know, lol) I recommend visiting Poland to everybody, it's a beautiful country with awesome people. Greetings to Arek M. for being such a great guide in Warszawa!
Thank you! I think piwo was the first word we learned ;) It's great that you went prepared and we struggled with the language at first but it was definitely easier with time. We were in Warsaw in August too! Arek was a great guide and big help for us. And we completely agree, Poland is beautiful!
Szacun dla Arkadiusza :-) which means respect for Arek for such a stylish behaviour and for the lovely couple, WELCOME to Poland, the country of Adventure ;-)
Hi guys. That was really nice vlog. U2 and Arek made great work at the camera. Fun, smile, communication. I'm a polish guy so it was pleasure for me to watch this. Greetings.
that picture device is called a stereoscope. The pictures are taken with a camera with two lenses about as far apart as two human eyes. It creates two pictures. That is why you can see depth in the picture.
Maybe you have but don't know it. There was a toy when I was a child called a View Master. You inserted these cardboard disks with picture slides along the outer edge and looked through the lenses like binoculars. Maybe you saw these when you were younger.
I definitely have to have him as a guide in my next visit to Warsaw. I was there for less than a day and I left soooo much unvisited. BTW, great videos over Poland, guys!! Congrats!
I've just stumbled upon your vlog today, and I'm glad you are enjoying your visit to Poland. If, by any chance, your travels will be taking you towards Ukraine, come and visit Lublin in eastern Poland. Cheers!
Thanks for watching! Actually, we are planning to visit Lviv in Ukraine so we'll be passing through the area and will see if we can check out Lublin too :)
Nice one, I spend two years in Warsaw back in 2000, and two years in Vancouver 2008-2010, People look a lot different. In Vancouver is more people from Asia than everyone else.B
The best "Cinema" museum is in Lodz. Especialy about polish movies so you should know some, but that's not necessery. The building where the museum is an old little castle and some rooms are original from that times. What do you think about beautifull Poland? Was it hard to order food or drinks? Any problems at comunication with people?
Oh we missed the cinema museum in Lodz! Our thoughts on Poland? A gorgeous country with amazing people, delicious food and beautiful cities/landscapes. Definitely underrated in our opinion which is why we hope we can go back to see more one day! It was hard to communicate in some regions but (for the most part) a lot of people our age spoke English and we were able to communicate :)
Polish people have the most extraordinary linguistic capabilities.I saw your other videos. How, on earth, did you guys end up in Grodzisk Mazowiecki in the beginning of your first trip to Poland?!
Haha fair question! We connected with a family through a site called Workaway. In exchange for room and board, we helped out with English lessons. It was such a great experience and a good start to our time in Poland :)
You are cute indeed! :D Naturally us Poles will be the most critical audience of your vids made in PL, but so far I am really enjoying them all and I've already seen a bunch. Cheers!
About that "stół z powyłamywanymi nogami" (table with broken legs) tongue twister - next time someone from Poland tells you to say that, you can try to surprise them and say "stół bez nóg" (table without legs) :D (google translate should tell you how to pronounce that, it's easy :>) I just found your videos and they are awesome! I'm happy that you liked it here :D
Damn, I've been living in Warsaw for almost 4 years now and I HAVE SEEN NEITHER Neon Museum nor Fotoplastikon. I focused on the history-related museums and art galleries.
Fotoplastykon is awesome. I saw one in Katowice in Silesian museum and these pictures are awesome. i love historical photography. And aren't those pics in 3d? I think they are.
It seems you're really enjoying yourselves! Will you be visiting Poznań? It's one of the major cities, and, kind of my home town, so it'd be cool if you did. The second tongue twister, which Arek told you, is basically not a tongue twister, it's just a really hard sentence to pronounce as a foreinger, especially if your mother tongue is english or german :) Have a great time in Poland :)
if you are still in Poland, head to the south west corner, Wroclaw, you will not be disappointed and it is on the good way to the Czech Republic, which is now called Czechia as well (supposed to be easier for foreigners.) Uuuuu, there is just too much to see in Europe, you could as well stay the whole year, visit Alps in winter, see Hungary and excellent wine there, well just pleeeeenty. Take care and enjoy!
Wroclaw will be the next video :) We would love to stay all year! Canadians have a 3 month visa only so we'll see what we can do. Thank you for the recommendations!
Check this out ; www.nomadicmatt.com/travel-blogs/how-to-legally-stay-in-europe-for-more-than-90-days/ I think you could apply for working holiday visa and stay up to 2 years or so Take care!
why not to try and go to the embassy or consulate ? Especially that you travel on budget, so some temporary teaching of English etc. would be great idea anyhow.
do widzenia sounds like Croatian doviđenja. Both contain the Indo-European root "wid" meaning "see" (video, vision), and by extension, "know" (wit, wisdom, Vedic).
AREK---We might be headed to Poland later this year...Do u have a email address ??? We are world travelers and would love a personal guide for a few days....Carolanne & Paul ,,,,,New York hipsters---LOL (At least I am).
The girl is really talented, she can repeat with no mistakes after just hearing once!
