    can you tell us where you got the panels and what size they are? I would have to have them delivered so I wondered what they are called so I can look them up

    Hmmm what's the top coat? Another Rd of the paint w brush then flour sack rag?
    I'm thinking of doing this on our brick fire place. Has one or two spots where the mortar is cracked. Does this have to be fixed first? I live the look...ever since seeing on HGTV Chip Gaines did to treat a home exterior that was blonde brick. Mine brick is redder like yours. Thx great class today 🤓

    I wonder if you could do that with wood paneling...now, I mean real wood, not panel board. Mine needs help. I need something to fill all those spaces between the sections. I had considered joint compound. I just know it needs a facelift. I really like the look of this. 👍🏻

    This is a first for me.. Never seen this before at least the process. We have brick in our house for the fireplace that really needs a face lift. Can you tell me if white wash is a different process that is a little easier? I really like this idea just a little leary about the Schmear process. You always make it look so easy. Thank you for your time & many talents..

    • @TheDailyDIYer
      @TheDailyDIYer  4 года назад

      You do still use this technique on brick or your can white wash. Totally up to you. My panels didn’t have that mortar texture so I did the Schmear. If you have brick already you already have the texture and can just white wash. Totally up to you 👍🏻

    I would love to whitewash our fireplace. The brick goes all the way up to the ceiling and it just makes that end of the room so dark. Unfortunately, my husband loves the brick. Thankfully, we are selling this house soon and building a new one - without dark brick around the fireplace!! Thank you for sharing the schmear technique. Your wall turned out really great. I can't wait to see the finished She Shed. God bless you and your family.
