Wow, thank you for your video! I was literally looking for a solution to this, and BOOM, you provided very good information.

thanks for the tip. Why did they not put a clamp built in so you could mount it on a C stand?

      No problem.
As far as a clamp goes, on this particular monitor, probably just cutting budget, this is kind of the lowest of production monitors that I use because it really only has false color, which is at least a good scope for judging exposure,
This monitor comes as an option without the case and instead has a stand/yoke mount (I have that version too) and you can mount that on a stand /c stand with 1/4-20, etc.
But, in the live event production world… Production companies just don’t carry this type of stuff very often, rarely having even a semi-proper production monitor, and very rarely even knowing what a C stand is.
They’re used to computer monitors, putting them on a 6 foot banquet table they get from the hotel, and computer monitors, obviously usually have swivel and tilt built-in… But they don’t have video scopes, which I feel are essential when doing any sort of camera work… so I really try to stray away from using computer monitors, not to mention that this is much more protective when transporting than a computer monitor in a cheap cardboard box and styrofoam that it came in from the store :-)
so the live event people are used to just putting those computer monitors down on a table, and if they ever get sent a production monitor in a case like this, they also just put it on a table and… Somehow just wrangle their neck and eyes down to try to look at it. and that just really doesn’t work ergonomically for my neck or a good viewing angle with good contrast and colors. so I just keep these clamps in the back of the case and I use it every time I set up this monitor…. Quick, easy, and I don’t have to carry an extra stand around, everything is just in the one case ready to use a regular table of any type.

Kind of things I do in day-to-day life living in poverty...
