Sony Camera 3rd Party Battery Solution?!?!
The Smallrig 4265B FZ-100 Battery does NOT throw the on-screen warning with Sony Cameras.......at least as of the recording of this video.
So, you can save a bit of money if you still want to buy third party batteries and NOT be interrupted by that warning.......AND, you'll also still get the battery percentage too!!
If you want to get this battery, here is an affiliate link (Amazon), if you want to pick it up: amzn.to/4hv5heV
Below are some more affiliate links to the gear I use to make my videos, cheers!

3POD Wander Aluminum Travel Tripod - Worth it?
Просмотров 1382 месяца назад
I got the 3Pod Wander Tripod because it LOOKS very similar in design to the Peak Design Travel Tripod. The 3Pod is DEFINITELY LONGER than the Peak Design when all folded up, it's NOT as compact, and it's heavier. But it's also taller when extended. Unfortunately, the foot-design is a "no-go" for me, and I don't think it's well designed in that area. Amazon occasionally has this tripod on its si...
TP Mini - Budget HDMI Wireless Video System

The TP Mini is an $89 Wireless Video Transmission kit with a Transmitter and Receiver that can transmit 1080p @ 60 frames per second up to 600' away. And YES, it works at that distance! How does it perform overall? Watch and learn. Shimbol sent me this kit for review, but all of this info and tests are mine, and mine alone. K&F Concept VA18 Video Fluid Head Tripod
packaging , seventies ? eighties ??? no ..... simply ........... Japanese !!! hehehe
i modified those with the EDT 250 V earpads , it s much better , isolate a bit better ( i can play ad record drums without bleed from headphones to the microphones) , mine were very weak in bass and pretty harsh from beginning ... this mod did fix this problem .
i bought them new here in Japan in a very respected shop
Thanks a bunch for this .
You’re welcome! 3 more years in production and STILL, people ask me if I have a multi tool they can use. 🤣
Thank you for the video, very helpful! I was just wondering if the Rode VideoMic Go 2 microphone can be used in a room with another person, positioned opposite to where the microphone would be pointing and not very close to me. I would use it mainly for video calls on Teams. Would it be able to isolate my voice and avoid picking up their voice as well? Or it’s better a dynamic mic like Fifine for this purpose?
Super helpful! You didn’t link the cable and battery you’re using.
Hi there. Thank you, I'm glad the video helped. I've been using official Sony-Branded FZ-100 batteries: amzn.to/3ZeCq7z And Any USB-C Cable that can support the proper wattages should do. Anker makes good ones: amzn.to/3ARQfzm And I have a bunch of these as well: amzn.to/3CCotr7 And These: amzn.to/4i0cZhy All of them work great!
I have scarlet 2i2 and a Rode NT1 Condenser Mic, It’s not working on my cannon m50 please help!
Thank you so much ❤
This video was outstanding in helping me not only learn how to properly use my Rode NTG video mic, but to also obtain maximum quality of my audio! Huge thanks!
Audio Technicas M50x vs mdr 7506. Which should i get? I need them mostly for guitar practice in my bedroom. Plugging straight to my amplifier. Also maybe for casual music listening.
Appreciate the video Marcus! This is exactly something I’ve been looking for and you explained it well, straightforward and in detail. I really enjoyed the outdoor segment as someone who will use this primarily outdoors in a vlogging style. Allows for constant bicycle bound commentary while riding without risking my neck 😂. Cheers mate!
So where do we get the case from? And do u have links to everything The monitor The case The clamps
Excellent video. First time I have understood clamp system. I now have a plan to standardise my kit. Thanks
Thank you so much for this superb video, it helped me to solve a problem that I have been going through for a very long time! related to recording from my Shure mic directly to my Sony ZV-E10 through Scarlett Solo. 😅 I tested all after watching your video and my setup works perfectly now 👌
Finally!

I am flashing back to high school and all the jokes about my large ears. I didn’t know they were over the ear. 😢😂😂😢😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hi Marcus, fantastic video and reviews. I am looking to buy a mini tripod to enable me to take close up photos of moths but I’m having trouble finding the Ulanzi mt-22/24 in the UK - even the Ulanzi website doesn’t seem to have the 22/24 models! - any thoughts would be very much appreciated. The camera I will be using will be a Canon EOS100D. I hope that helps. Thanks Matt
ElGato owes you a big fat check for doing their Design, Research, and Development 😅😮
Another banger.
Thanks. I'm struggling a lot with audio in my videos and this helps a lot.
another excellent explanation and demonstration! You’re a very effective teacher and I will be mining value from your other content 👍🏼
thank you for this very clear explanation and demonstration!
exactly what I needed. No wasted time. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. Your description was succinct and very well presented. A veritable model of how to explain things via a technical video. Please consider doing more of these video tutorials on other aspects of the Osee Gostream Decks - I'm a visual learner and even though I know that Ignat's FAQ is a wonderful resource, I sometimes struggle with long-form written explanations.
for me its too much treble. diskant in the phones on high volume
Ive been on the hunt for this solution! I want to use the senheisser mke 600 directly to my dji wireless mic 2 and send the signal to my camera. I just ordered the cable. Hopefully this is works!
What is the longest distance you’ve comfortably used this microphone? Is 12-14 inches the recommendation or can it go even further away, say, up to one meter?
Well down in Texas sometimes you just gots to gets to going and just let them words come out! 🤠🫡 Much love from Kingsville Tx!
I realize this is a 2 year old tutorial, but my dude... you deserve way more subscribers! I haven't watched many of your videos yet but the time you put into outlining/scripting these tutorials gives the perfect blend of concise yet detailed instruction. I can tell you put a lot of time and effort into these and I hope you continue to make them. Subbed for sure!
Great report. I have 2 Small Rig NP-F style battery plates that only output 12v or 7.4v, can I use that with a USB to 5mm cable? Which output should I use plugged to the USB C on the camera?
what do you mean by "USB to 5mm cable?" Do you mean a DC Barrel to USB-C Cable? Long story short.....Normally would NOT try to convert a DC output to USB. It looks like Kondor Blue makes a DC to USB-C Cable, however, it requires in input voltage of at least 14V, which is more than the NPF plate will provide..... www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1734324-REG/kondor_blue_kb_dcm_usbc_16_dc_to_usb_c_power.html/?ap=y&ap=y&smp=y&smp=y&lsft=BI%3A6879&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAire5BhCNARIsAM53K1gwx-XaC_7aj8heIFXWWqMKgo4fZrVXLQxcJd_3x7lhQ4VFjoqs6U4aAgFbEALw_wcB I doubt most DC to USB-C cables have the smart capabilities of USB Power Delivery, so I'd be very careful. Using a proper Power Delivery charging brick, plug, or other device with a real PD USB-C output over to a proper USB-C PD input (like the USB-C port on the FX30) means that each device communicates with each other to say "hey, I need this voltage and NO MORE than this voltage," and therefore there's less risk of frying the camera. If you absolutely wanted to, you can get a DC barrel to FZ-100 dummy battery.......but make sure you ONLY plug it in to the 7.4 volt output on the NPF plate. In addition, with updated firmware, you'll get the annoying on-screen warning.....but, you can just click OK and keep using the camera. However, this option means that once that NPF battery dies......so does the camera (if you're using the dummy-battery option). I'm not saying you SHOULD buy another NPF plate if it's not in your budget.......but an NPF plate with a proper USB-C PD output would by my suggestion so you can (1) leave an FZ100 battery in the camera itself, then get that 2nd power source via USB-C
And what is the difference between a Bowens and a Bowens S mount?
From my understanding, a Bowens S-Mount is an adapter for holding photography style speed lights ("flashes") inside a standard bowens mount receiver to allow bowens-compatible modifiers (like soft boxes) to be attached to those speedlights. This is because Speed lights are usually rectangular and do NOT have any sort of bowens-mount options on their own.....with an S-Mount adapter you can use your regular bowens mount modifiers that you might already own with flashes, etc. Keeps us from having to buy different style softboxes just for photography, etc.
@@MarcusHutsell Thanks for the thorough explanation.
Does your cable also work for the Sony ZV1f? I have the same Scarlett audio interface
PGYTECH CAPLOCK MANTISPOD Z, item number P-GM-158.....(30$)... Ulanzi MT-44 (15$)
I think you missed a few more important critiques of these phones. Most importantly, the cost of replacement parts via Sony oem is a joke. The screw on 3.5 to 1/4” trs adapter costs over $70 from Sony. Yeah you can buy a cheap Hosa replacement but they’re nowhere near the same. I’ve had the “sleeve” part of the adapter actually separate from the adapter causing major signal loss and my only two solutions were to toss the headphones in the trash or repair the adapter which I accomplished via a small drop of liquid cement. I think at some point Sony should have made design improvements to things like the attached cable and the wiring which also seems to fail in certain areas over time. I guess the fact that they cost under $100 makes them disposable? Other than this I do experience ear fatigue a short while after monitoring through them. The best thing I like about them is the weight/feel while wearing them although I don’t like the “tugging” which happens when you’re standing with them on. Another design flaw.
Good video, full of value.
I have this tripod for a couple of weeks now. It really is a great piece of kit. Well engineered, sturdy, amazingly light and small. (Why i bought it) I doesnt replace my Sirui ST-124, but is another useful tool in my bag. Actually i have the 5CX, with the improved ball head, its ok, but not brilliant. So i use the SIRUI G-20KX ball head I already own. It makes a big difference. I use a remote to fire the shutter, and turn off the VR on my lenses that have it. Excellent tripod. Update, I have been using the 5cx a lot recently. It really is a great piece of kit. Amazingly stable. It takes up hardly any room in my camera bag. I have swapped the ballhead it came with for my sirui G-20KX ball head. It is much better. Really recommended tripod.
Awesome video thank you! Got a zv1 and having trouble getting the kind of footage I really wanted to capture and thinking about upgrading to the fx30. I want to shoot workout footage that looks reasonably good, my gym does have a relatively low drop-ceiling with fluorescent bulbs..which I know isn’t the most beautiful of backdrops. Want to get something that can bring out the best of what I’m working with and thinking fx30 with good lense may take things up a notch
When you tried the 737 and 747, I agree with the concerns, but was wondering if you tried them on different sockets and how many showed the issue. I know it depends on the socket and all that
Thanks for this video....but how many times can you say the same thing...sorry...
Holy cow, I hope I didn't fry my camera. I had no idea there were differences. Thank you.
incredible!! thank you!
once you use a higher ohm beyerdynamic 250 ohm head phone you will not like them anymore nasty now !
How did your talent like the prompter type? I know some clients who should be wearing glasses but don’t sometimes squint etc.
OMG dude all that talk about plugging into wall (then you plug it into power strip which doesn't have that problem). But never do you plug more than one device into either Anker charger so we can see how well they can deal with multiple devices! The biggest difference between all the PD chargers is )how they behave with multiple devices. What a waste of my time.
Warning this lens is great but it's also great collecting FUNGUS.
I bought this tripod a couple of days ago. I also have the brilliant Sirui ST-124, but wanted a much smaller and lightweight as well. It is unbelievably light. Superbly engineered and keeps my D610 and assorted lenses completely still. I am genuinely impressed. I always use a remote shutter release, or the self timer when using a tripod, but it is a must with this C5. The ball head it comes with is not the best in the world. But not disastrous. Recommended.
I think a very important part that was missed in this video is that the Mtrack solo has it own dedicated drivers where as the UM2 doesnt, so the m track has much more stable and lower latency operation
Thanks for this review! I own a Zoom F1 field recorder with shotgun mic and this Deity. Of these two, which would you use for a boom mic for talking head videos in the studio? Thanks!
wow , what al detailed and clear review . look very unbiased too.
Its good info but get to the point!
