Bullshit. This opening sequence is boring as all hell. It's just stuff from the previous deaths falling and breaking glass. I nearly fell asleep watching this because of how boring it was.
@@snowypringles3393 FD4 had far better throwbacks than this. It had Mortal Kombat-like X-ray re-enactments of different deaths in previous films set to a banger of a song. FD5 has stuff related to previous deaths being slowly dropped on a sheet of glass while slow, garden variety dramatic music plays in the backgroud. It does nothing to hype you up for the film's events and it's just plain boring. There are much better ways to do throwbacks than by showing people footage of you throwing stuff at a sheet of glass with boring music.

Not sure, I checked out the scene and the scissors don't look the same. The one you see on this theme have 2 clips that hold the 2 handles together that stick out by 3 inches and on the Samantha's death scene they are just metal buttons. Could just be different scissors but still have a connection.
I miss getting hyped at the cinema like this! I knew this like the day i saw it, never forgot it there might be better opening titles but this one put you right in the movie what you are about to see, not to gory not to scary but a big budget spectacle, a popcorn movie nothing more than that.
