My first favorite band. I was in jr high school. I dressed like John and grew my hair like his. CCR is wired in my brain. The reason I started playing guitar. Love your posts 👍👍👀🎸
Believe it or Not Travelin Band was not recorded on the Rickenbacker that Fogerty is playing in the concert footage. Fogerty actually recorded that song on a his other Les Paul Custom that was converted to a 3/4 scale legth with a shorter maple neck and added a bigsby after the airlines damaged it in 1969. He recorded most of Cosmos Factory with this Les Paul.
Recently found your channel looking for a lesson on CCR's 'Who'll Stop the Rain' ... fantastic one too. Very glad when I saw you're still going strong and making videos, you're an awesome teacher. Thanks for this one too!
My wife and I are old enough to never want to hear “ down on the corner “ again - for the rest of our lives- not to deny the talent involved in many other of his songs 🙂
@Mrguitarpilgrim Hey, how are you? I always enjoy your videos. I’ve been playing for 200 years so I can probably turn you into stuff that you haven’t heard.
Well, to tell the truth, I can’t turn you into anything. I can turn you on - to people you haven’t heard like Barlow girl , Nichole, Nordeman, or Dennis Cameron. 🙂
Great Video. I like the sound of Fogerty and his Kuston amplifiers. Best transistor sound made back then and probably still the loudest solid state amp.
Hi Pilgrim, have a question! How do you record the guitar for these videos? Are you micing an amp or DI'ing into a DAW with an amp sim? Awesome work btw!
Their music sounds so easy to play when you first hear it, and the chords all basic,,but you learn quickly that these simple sounding songs are all but easy to play ! John Fogertys magic touch is something to marvel and be in awe of,, thats what you will learn, 😂✌️
Hello there Guitar Pilgrim. It’s been a while since I’ve watched your videos. I know you were making some changes or a move but at any rate just today two of your videos appeared. So it was guitar destiny. Nice to see you again down on the corner. Cheers!

I saw John Fogerty perform this at Wembley Arena about 16 years ago. He was a sprightly 60 years old then. Time flies.

Awesome, thank you for this! I live your videos - they inspire me to keep picking up the guitar and playing even when I am in a rut..
Good one Thom! CCR definitely rocked it out way back then! Terrific band for sure! 👍👍🎸🎸

Excellent video. Great song.
I’d like to see one on Ramble Tamble.
Amazing. I had the 45 as a kid and played it over and over. My Mum hated it. She's now 92, so I'll try to play it for her!
I absolutely dig all of your instructional videos! Thank you so much!
it really looks like the first blues riffs you play when you learn the guitar ... back to basics!
Thanks. Great Vid! You put the color into black and white playing!
The hair of Brian Jones, the John Lennon guitar, and the playing of Scotty Moore! Ha - that's awesome!
You should come back with those kick ass videos I'd love to see one about Muddy Waters
I love your channel man, this is my favorite guitar channel in all of RUclips, keep on bringing the great videos! Greetings from Mexico

Brilliant demo/ lesson! Thank you once again Guitar Pilgrim! 🌌🌠🌅👌🏻🕊
I absolutely love this, especially all the CCR songs that you go through! There's so much to their songs!
Keep them coming!
Remember the reel of Led Zeppelin fist being introduced playing 'How many more times'?When Page played CCR's 'Suze Q rift?🎶🎵😊
I like heard it through the grapevine🎸 intro as well.
Just listen to that grooving baseline - what a great song.
It's pronounced Bee Ann, not "band". Most of the "hooks" in pop music have some tricky modifications going on.
Fogerty doesn't play his barre chords that way.
Is this Paul David’s brother? Same energy and coolness. Love it
