Beautiful dresses and they are all loking nice on you. Can you please make a video for women at 60 and maybe for women with glasses. It is very difficult to find a good style and pattern at that age.
Your dresses are beautiful, especially on you. Have you ever heard of the Cinema dress as I’ve got this pattern but nobody seems to have made it. It has been around a number of years and seeing your vlog reminded me of it. You have some lovely dresses in your wardrobe, beautifully made. 😊
Such beautiful fabrics and there is a theme and style to your dresses that suits you so well Lauren. I've tried some of these patterns through the Sewing Society kits and on my own. Unfortunately, the looser, kind of baggy styles with elastic or ties at the waist just don't look good on me. I'm short with a solid build, so they make me look heavier than I am. I'm hoping the trend for next year will include some more fitted dresses and tops with less volume. This whole series of videos have been so helpful. Thanks for doing them!
Thanks Lauren , a really great presentation of a wide variety of dress styles. As you said , it makes such a difference seeing the styles on a model and made in a variety of different fabrics, I find these sort of videos extremely helpful.
The Closet Core Nicks dress looks much nicer in reality than the drawing depicts it on the pattern packet; I guess part of this sewing journey is understanding the styles that are drawn. I like your short and long versions.
Another really good video, thanks Lauren. I'm not a great dress wearer but am increasingly trying to make some. Great to see the different looks. I prefer a more fitted style and loved the Stasia jersey dress. Looks like secret pyjamas ☺️
Really enjoyed this vlog too, so helpful to see the dresses made up. Love the Nicks & have made 2 that look totally different bx of fabrics & colour. My Taika also came out with bodice too long so my daughter benefitted from that mistake😂 Named drafts for taller figures than mine.
So useful thank you Lauren! I recently ordered some of your Bee Happy Blooms fabrics and they're beautiful. If it hasn't been requested yet, a review of the bottoms you've made next please!
This was a great vlog thanks Lauren, I have most of those patterns and it’s inspiring me to go back and make more - especially the sudley in a black fabric 😊
Beautiful dresses and fabrics. I’ve got 2m of the navy blooms and 3 of the cream to make something beautiful with but I can’t make my mind up what to make as it’s the most precious fabric, I want to get it just right!
Enjoyable video to watch, thank you. I was particularly interested in your comments regarding the Taika Dress. I have that pattern as well as the fabric to make it up, but I have been concerned about how it might fit me and where to shorten it, as Named Clothing drafts for 5'8", I think, and I'm 5'5". I am used to making pattern alterations, but not in terms of the relative proportions with regard to height. I will make a toile, but I do like my toiles to be wearable :-)
Aw thank you. I have my own fabric shop so I get all my fabric there - we sell online and ship world wide too - here is the link :) guthrie-ghani.co.uk/
Fyi There are a number of us in the US who get fabric from G&G, including the Sewing Society kits. My first purchase was very reasonable Liberty cotton.😊
We don't I'm afraid but we do have the fabric and top tips video available guthrie-ghani.co.uk/sewing-society/videos/nicks-top-and-dress guthrie-ghani.co.uk/shop?q=bee%2520happy%2520blooms

Love the Named Kerttu dress. I’m going to have to pick up that pattern. Thanks for sharing these dresses 🤗
You didn't mention the one you are wearing?? Which I think is the nicest of them all
Beautiful!! Where do you buy your fabric?
