It's actually refreshing to see people ACTUALLY helping the victim by stopping the perpetrator rather than just ignoring or watching. If this was a hate crime against the young lady because of her race this man should know that the paramedics wheeling him are two Asian Americans. Hope the young lady is ok and gets help. She probably ran away because she's shocked and worried no one will care about her. She needs to report this and not let this crime go undocumented.

Police said there was no Asian asaukt victims found or invented and poce said when if him on the scene no asian person made any such accusation. Police said they do not get single police report filing or 911 call form any asian a person accusing him of assault. Policemsaid the homeless man was taken into hospital custody for evaluation date the was seen running up and down the sidewalk with knife while mumbling to himself. however not a is gke accused him of assault. He is not facing any criminal charges and will not be identified publicly according to police. The fact nbc Bay Area do this fake news story as anri asian attack solely base of hearsay and couldn't even find evodnce if the asian victim existing by there own admission is just plain bad journalism.

Authorities said the man ran into the ran into the back of the lady by mistake as he randomly running down the street with a knife during a mental health breakdown. so He didn't even know she was asian to begin with 🙄! Police said in the update that it wasn't intentional or robbery related and he is NOT being criminally being charged or identified publicly. NBC BAY areA should be ashamed of themselves for trying incite tensions with such a misleading story. Police said that the young asian women had no injures and also said by her own admission that no asian slur or comment was ever made by the suspect.

There was not single asian individual on the scene who accused the suspect of any assualt and we also did not receive any police report filing or 911 call accusing the man detained of attacking any asian person.
He will not be criminally charged and is not being identified. The same witness recently repeated the same false claim in a interview with nbc Bay Area. Because of how bad tensions in our community at right now we have strongly encouraged news stations to be responsible in there reporting and to not report hearsay or rumours as factual anti asian attack stories. This is so sad. I literally just got back from a trip to Manila and Tokyo yesterday and the entire time I was in both countries I met new friends and everyone was so lovely and welcoming to me. In Manila, Makati, BCG I walked all over the place, took Taxis, and everywhere I went people were just so nice. At the airport sitting outside waiting for my flight with other families just hanging out. As a Veteran who has been to many countries I really hope one day we can get back to being the country I remember but it is not looking good. I seriously am considering moving out of the states for my final years and I never ever thought I would say that as I have always been a very patriotic person but this is not the America I know. Even at JFK when I landed I was in line to check in and an older lady from China asked the guy behind me if she was at the right gate and her english wasn't perfect but I heard enough to understand her to ask "is this right place" but the guy didn't even let her finish and said "I don't understand a thing your saying" and just walked away from her so I just turned around and looked at her ticket and told her she was good and she smiled it took all of 5 seconds to be nice or at least try...

My sympathy to the young lady who went through this traumatic event that will forever be with her.
