How far have things come from the first Mazda 323 hatch (1977 model) I got as my first car. Now reviewers complain about having to take keys out of their pockets and can't touch the computer monitor in the cabin. Try using a car with a manual choke, and wearing gloves and a beanie because your heater takes 5 minutes to get warm. These things aren't a persons lounge room they are a form of transport aren't they? No wonder people on the roads are so self indulgent these days, they are effectively driving around in their living room!
My father's old Mazda Astina station wagon is still charging around; it could probably drive itself to Bluescope Steel! It still has a cassette player in it, but the aircon and visibility is top!
Do these guys know anything about the cars? I have this vehicle. You dont need to use the fob to open the door. You just touch either of the front two handles on the inside and it unlocks.
Hi mate, Could you please tell me your experience about using Waze app on Apple carplay. Since the infotainment isn’t touchscreen, can I write the destination addresses on my phone while Apple carplay is connected. Since writing with car rotary is a nightmare for me, I wonder is it possible to use the phone for writing while the apple carplay is connected.
@@arad907 not sure if it’s standard across all cars, but im pretty sure you can just open your phone and type in the destination on Waze/ Google maps and it’ll be projected onto the dash, or at least that’s how Apple CarPlay/ android auto works on my buddies Tiguan because he hates touching his touch screen because of fingerprints
@@Anonymous-yb1ho Thank you for sharing. It helps me a lot. Although I like the Mazda3, I was looking to buy the Ford Focus, just because of its infotainment. I recently migrated to Australia and have to use Waze to go anywhere. So, having an easy-to-use infotainment with Apple CarPlay is a must-have feature for me.
@@arad907 ahh I understand bud, similar situation with you. Mazda 3 is definitely a better drive, Ford Focus, the new focus does have a bigger infotainment screen, I say take it for a test drive before you decide. I’m probably going to get a Mazda 3 sedan myself once I move into a bigger place and get a proper job. For the price you are paying, it is more expensive compared to competitors, but it’s a really nice interior, and the car just feels refined for the price. Just a tad smaller space for backseat, but that’s standard if you are dealing with Japanese compact sedans/hatch (this is from sitting in my friends Mazda 3 hatch). I do hear that the lane keep assist and auto break stop on the Mazda is shit so if you’re buying the Mazda for that, then it may not be the car for you, aside from that, it’s pretty solid.
@@Anonymous-yb1ho I absolutely agree with you. Mazda is more reliable than Ford Focus and has several more standard features such as Blind Spot, Rear cross-traffic alert, and Info projection on the windshield, but Focus has a bigger back seat, touch infotainment, and I believe better adaptive cruise and lane centering. On paper, the auto cruise and the touch info are key features for me, but the reliability of that 1.5 L Turbo eco-boost Dragon is questionable. I don't know, it's a tough choice. As you said, I should test drive both.
Its fine. Has brightness settings but you dont need it on the brightest with sunglasses. It also automatically increases and decreases based on the ambient sunlight linked to your driving lights. For eg at night or in the underground carpark it will dim when your driving lights turn on and during the day it will go to your setting.
My wish for this car in future updates.. At least 10' HD infotainment system, 360 camera, digital instrument panel, hybridize, yeah, type c usb/wireless charging, better keyless entry system..
Wow. Mazda must have read your comment! The 2024 models have 10.25 inch infotainment, the Vision Package brings the 360 camera, you get usb c and wireless charging and it has a keyless entry system. The only miss is the fully digital instrument panel and hybrid option....

Is not this the best interior? I mean the material used is better than an entry BMW (or Merc?)

Bring the turbo to Australia.. !
Good review
Can you add or change so you can get keyless entry (proximity sensor) after the fact?
How's the HUD visibility with polarized sunglasses?

great question
8.4L/100km?

This is just a low trim model. Higher trims have 360 degree camera, hybrid and keyless entry
you can get accessories which give you this stuff

Makes this car real modern..
Thanks mate..👍❤👍
give me this as a gift
Yeh... Gee... Taking those keys out of the pocket.... So annoying...😐
Yea... what a first world problem
Haha I’ve gotten use to it, beats my old 2011 Mazda 3 that had no central locking. It’s a dream.
I don't really take them out. There is just 2 buttons, lock and unlock, which you can press them easily without taking the key out of the pocket.
Pretty sure Mazda 3 has keyless entry unless the g20 doesn’t and the other models do
@@Rekuja Models below G20 touring do not have keyless entry
I know where you can put that banana 😂
don't try to lie about the looks lol, its ugly af like most modern cars
