    Instead of using silicone spacers I used a stack of 1/4" rubber grommets in place of the springs. Works just as well with adjustable stack size and very low cost.

    rear left uses the shorter spacer that comes in your kit in case you missed it.

    Great video, I'm new to printing and learning fast, I have the ender 3 v2 neo, how did you access level menu, with the ready + - readings. Plus do you have the link for the wheels. Thank you

    Hello, thanks for the info ill upgrade the wheels and the silicones too.
    One question, you dont have to preheat the nozzle and bed before you auto level your bed ?

      hello there, thats a good point u r referring to, indeed i forgot to preheat the bed and nozzle so i redone it afterwards, very good point .

      @@TheMrxBlack It's better to preheat before leveling because temperature makes difference in your results.

    What firmware are you running? I have a stock s1 in the US and my display looks nothing like that. Also I have ordered one of the new pro hotends so I can print to 300°C. I believe the stock firmware limits you to 260°C do you know how to change that?

      I'm running professional firmware, if you want i'll find u a link, if you want to use the pro hotend then u must use a pro firmware otherwise u are indeed limited to 260 degrees c. I know how to do that, i'll find u a link.

      CAUTION! It is confirmed now that Creality is selling some S1 with a STM32F4 chips, The current Professional Firmware version is compatible only with S1 boards with STM32F1 SoC.
      only install after confirming that your motherboard has the STM32F1 chip otherwise u might brick your motherboard!

      Yes, I did see that I looked last night and I have a STM32F103 on my board. So i should be ok. Is it a pretty straight forward download & install?

      @@briansteiner2116 u download the firmware, put it on an empty sd card which is formatted as a FAT32, then u turn off your S1, put the sd card in sd card slot and turn it on , wait for the firmware to flash. thats it.

    So overall you would recommend spacers silicone over stock springs ? I have some left over silicone springs black from my ender 3 v2 can I use them on this ender 3 s1 ?

      yes my bed is much more stable now... i think u can use the silicons from ender 3 on the s1/pro

    curious to try printing tpu spacers instead of using those silicone ones. with a model it means you could change the infill amount to get the right amount of firmness.

      TPU wont withstand the heat that the bed can reach.. it will melt being right up against the bed.. so I would advise NOT to use TPU.

      after you install these silicone solid spacers indeed, then u mostly rely on auto bed leveling :o

    Can you purchase that motherboard? I’ve noticed some huge differences. I don’t have the ability to do the manual adjustment where he goes to the four corners of the bed. I don’t know why they ship with different motherboards

      The firmware on it is manually installed and it's called Professional firmware, it only works with STM32F1 chip motherboard, the one's u buy now are all STM32F4 i think. But the firmware maker is working on a version that works with the new motherboards , so soon there will be a version that works with it, stay tuned!

      @@aim6mac What mother board is on the S! Pro? Didn't it come out after the Basic S1? I would think that the mother board number would be a higher number

      I have only had my Ender 3 S1 for a week and the motherboard went out. They are sending me a new board but I want to up grade it so I can use the Pro firmware. They won't send me that one so I want to just buy it and install it instead of the one they are sending me. But I can't fine the part

      @@aim6mac I hope so. If you look at my menu, I only have bed leveling. On all the videos I see another option for manual leveling. I don't understand why they took some features out?

      I just bought a S1 And my screen looks nothing like that. Would you please tell us how you got that update. I don’t have the option to create a mesh

      @@nmfireman Greg, first u should check which mainboard u have STM32F4 or STM32F1. because the professional firmware is not compatible with the new boards (STM32F4)

      I bought an S1 and some 18mm silicone units like this. They seem way too short. Like the center of the plate is fixed in place, but I can not raise the corners nearly enough to level the bed now. 😞

      About one year since I installed a set of similar spacers onto my Ender 3 pro, still working flawlessly. So definitely a recommendation.

    Sooo I jumped right in and updated all the software, both machine and screen. Now I'm stuck on how to set z offset and level the bed haha oh dear. Looks great though. Anyone make a vid on all the goodies in the software/ firmware?

      @@aim6mac Latest i believe14 March version? I managed to level the bed and set the Z, once you figure it, its actually so much better. A vid will be great though on any knowledge you have on this new firmware. It was the one you linked us to.

    HOw do you tell if your S1 is running the STM32F4 chips?

      Fastest and maybe the only way is to open up the bottom cover and inspect the motherboard visually

      @@aim6mac did that this morning and I'm good for the software upgrade, did that quickly and now need to learn all the new functions. Will also do the wheel upgrade at some point as well. I also notice that things are not as smooth as I would like them to be.

      @@marccretten Great, now i'm really happy with the wheel upgrades and the rubber spacer upgrades, it made the printbed much more stable, the less movement the better overal print quality.

    Wouldn't aluminum ones be better at the end? Being that silicon ones might deform with time? I am trying to upgrade my CR10SPro V2 to aluminum spacers

      I think that would be too stiff and provide no adjustment, these are squishy so you can actually move the bed around

      The springs are there to provide tension on the knob screw so it does not become undone. The silicone replacements are designed to deform, that is how they provide the tension needed, Aluminium spacers cannot work to adjust the bed, it would just be locked solid unless each spacer is custom made to perfection in each corner to level the bed which technically would be almost impossible to achieve.
