Thanks. Most informative. I bought my first TR6 about 18 months ago knowing little about them but it had been pretty well sorted except for an emergency bonnet release. Even I, with my rather limited mechanical capabilities, can rectify that. Looking forward to more.
Hey Martin ? Just found you on you tube, are you West mids/Worcestershire ? Moved down to Pembrokeshire 10 years back and enjoying the driving freedom in my old 6. Just had Peter Cox rebuild the box so giving the old girl plenty of exercise. Great videos mate and look forward to your next instalment..........cheers Jon
Hi Jon, yes West midlands way is home as youve probably worked out from the footage and driving shots. Hoping to do a 'test drive' video next year when the sun comes out taking in some local sights, maybe a run to the peaks and back. thanks for the input and glad your enjoying the videos
Interesting since I am looking to reinforce the chassis of my TR6 but did not know what to do exactly. I will discuss with my mechanic to see what is feasible on my car. But should the chassis be totally detached from the car to do your suggestions or it can be done (totally or partially) with the car mounted on the chassis ?
thanks for watching and glad you found the video useful. The suggested mods are possible with the body on the chassis with some of the suspension/diff removed but of course it would be much easier access with the body off. For this reason these mods are often done as part of body off restorations. good luck
Good tips. Is it worth having these mods / parts CAD drawn and have David Manners Group sell them as an improvement kit? Covers steering, diff, suspension and bonnet release!
Thanks for the input Kevin. You can already buy all the parts from main suppliers like Moss and Rimmer Bros. but a complete chassis upgrade kit would be a good idea.
Thanks. Very useful. I heared about tr6 chassis problem in the differential part. But i didn't know that these other parts also need some fixing.
Glad it helped :-) and you found the video useful. thanks for watching
Thanks for the suggestion of an emergency bonnet release. Just bought a TR6 and the release was very stiff before I lubricated it. I’ll fit one.
glad it helped. thanks for watching

Useful suggestions clearly
