I agree, his voice's grain fits the (emo bishounen) homunculus so oddly well. Bet alot of people didn't see that coming from the VA that voiced Mario, a character pretty much opposite to this one. :^D

Interesting enough, is that most of the voice cast in PS2 version (except Charles Martinet) also did the english dub for Soul Calibur 2 and Zone of the Enders 2nd Runner.

I'm writing a "Noddy" fanfic in which Homunculus is the main villain. It has images and everything. Yes, you should be worried. Just like I should be worried about my mental health.
Don't worry, i get you. Like, it's uncanny that Humonculus is voiced by the famous red-capped italian plumber, but imo the grain just fits so oddly well. He's a charming -although deadly- character for sure 😭❤️
@@RubykonCubes3668 I just love to find out about things that bring new perspectives to my childhood. But, if you don't mind, I would like for us to focus on my fanfic a bit, please. Oh ! But first, I would like to thank you for your support. You see, two years ago I started researching about the original stories of many of the tales we grew used to thanks to Disney, and while I agree some stories benefited from being toned down, others such as "Alice in Wonderland" or "Little Mermaid", in my opinion, should have remained on their original tone. So I thought I should just continue the tradition, you know ? Turn some show that was incredibly precious to many people's childhoods into something darker, but with an educational purpose. A good example of a children's story that benefits greatly from this kind of tone, and that doesn't belong to the 1800's, is the book called "Bernard's watch" (perhaps you heard of it thanks to its television show counterpart from the, I want to say 80's or 90's). At first, it won't seem much dark. But stick to the story long enough, and the bloody situation becomes threatening to the 9 year old and his kind old aunt, whose entire iron is being striped until its last drop, a fate that glooms over the boy and some of his friends if they aren't careful enough with the time they insist on playing with.
I enjoy both versions. What I am trying is to catch the graphical differences but I have terrible eye. Has anyone noticed which version looks the best?
Hi! The comparison is from the PC version & the PSP version running on Emulation. Admittedly my PC isn't high tech so the PSP Emu could be better! But I think overall the PS/PS2 version has better texture and lighting. I have noticed on the PSP version background assets like lamps and ornaments will have less polygons than in the PSP version. Still the PSP version is converted to widescreen & looks fantastic with the resolution boost on emulator - Which is why I prefer the PSP version but both are decent really!
