Why Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Is The Worst Pokemon Game Ever Made
A short explanation on why I don't really like Scarlet and Violet, please remember this video is only my opinion, if you like the game, that great! I'm not trying to argue with anyone:)

the second i saw no skirt option it was over
yeah, i seriously have a hard time trying to play violet. i hate the realistic direction they are going with the graphics and character models, it's starting to turn into detective pikachu- and i don't know what it is about the gameplay but i feel like now we have too much freedom in the game, there is such thing as being too open and non-linear. plus they still havent gotten rid of the god awful hour long tutorial...

scarlet and violet also has horrible attack animations like in sword and shield and legends arceus we got these epic attacks where the pokemon actually go forward and use a move instead of standing there and somehow a ball of energy attacks the opponent.
heres an example, psycho cut. In legends arceus my gallade would dash forward and do a bunch of purple slices and it was sick but in scarlet and violet just some little slicers appear out of the pokemon and fly at the enemy.
Legends arceus has the best attack animation🙌 I wish scarlet violet can have cool animations too

in my opinion when i first played it i stoped at the grass gym as it did not feel like a original pokemon game but i came back and it was so much fun
Playing through was painful I bought the game to do competitive and shiny hunt
Also as someone who played through almost every region I can say that these games were the worst especially with all the boss fights and bugs one time my game crashed randomly and I lost a ton of progress I hope I see something better with legends za and whatever the tenth generation is but my hopes aren’t high
Also it’s stupid that they shiny locked EVERYTHING

the switch versions are the worst cuz they limit every pokemon move and what pokemon can be in the game. hate that u can't use signal beam or steamroller anymore and i loved that move.
Aside from the glitches and bugs it is a really good game
In a way, it makes me sad that Gamefreak has the top best-selling game franchise of all time and cheaps out on the games that made them so popular in the first place. I did like s/v but the missed potential of these games to have stuff like level curving (so you can actually challenge the game in the order you want), better character customization (even x/y did it better tbh), and other stuff we wanted for years. Also, hate how they try to blame it on the switch it is underpowered but can run games way bigger than s/v. I have hopes for Legends Z-A as it looks like it got more time in the oven .
i can understand your point, but i played the first pokemon blue on game boy. hearing your voice i woudnt say that you played pokemon in the era haha so, i ask you did you play that version? cause you said worst pokemon ever. or even the first gold or silver version. yes the legendary pokemons where nice on that time, but despite the ogerpown apparence i like the story around it.
You're right, I didn't play those older games, but I watch other people play it, and to me they look a lot more fun than scarlet violet, also I am not a fan of the new realistic kind of design, so I think that's why, and I do like the overall story of the dlc, it's just kind of boring sometimes, and the cut scenes feels cheap
I’ve played/own every game and I wish I never bought scarlet and violet to be honest. I feel as though Pokemon peaked in quality during gen 4 and 5. I’ve enjoyed every game since then despite each lacking in certain areas I feel are important because it’s Pokemon, but even that can’t save this game for me even though I genuinely want to enjoy it. I haven’t even beaten the main game yet because I can’t enjoy anything about the game. I replay soul silver, platinum, black, black 2, X, ultra moon, shield, and arceus, frequently so it’s really astounding to me that I can’t even play through this game a first time.
Nah I’m sorry but for all it’s flaws sword and shield was so much worse, way more boring.
I actually enjoyed playing scarlet and violet and had I been able to cheat rare candies I would’ve sincerely enjoyed playing nuzlocke replays.
The loyal three aren’t legendary!! And also you can’t say this is bad and be done you need to give a reason why it’s bad also of course the indigo disk is better then the teal mask bc it’s bigger and DONT COMPLAIN about the shiny hunting methods bc they could just not give you ways to boost shiny odds and finnaly no one cares about the opinion of some 8 on RUclips

If you're going to be talking about the glitches and graphic just forget making a point. The glitches and graphics sometimes make the game more enjoyable which this is a good example of that, you also forget the fact that this is running off a Nintendo console knowing damn well it is basically known for that.
The glitches and stuff happens too often and its really annoying, also there's other games on the switch that look amazing, not all the games have bad graphics

Gonna disagree with you on all points except the graphics and the DLC price gouging. The graphics were a bit down but admittedly sometimes could be funny. The price of DLC practically being half the actual game cost is ludicrous.
Past that I cannot agree with ya, and fundamentally I feel your arguments were flawed.
For one, there’s plenty to do that do not involve shiny hunting so to harp on one aspect that’s not finely tuned was a bit disingenuous. There’s also those that play casually with no goal in mind, those that play for competitive, those that play for completionist sakes, etc.
The legendaries you are comparing to are flawed. The loyal three are not box art legends, they are basically offshoots of trios like the Gen 1 birds, Gen 2 dogs, the Gen 3 Regis, Gen 4 spirits, Gen 5 the swords of justice, and so on. They have about the same stat totals and are not meant to be standouts. The box art legends Koraidon and Miraidon are busted af, easily two of the strongest Ubers of all time and that’s saying something given mega ray or Gen 4 Arceus.

Comparing Loyal 3 (minor legendaries) to box legendaries is really unfair for them. & even if he thinks these are "super weak in the game", I'd like to remind him of the Regi trio. "Running out of ideas" still is 1 of the worst grievances that fans hold along with the "Gamefreak is lazy." They're based off of the Momotaro tale, smth that's never been b4 in Pokémon. The problem isn't their concept, but the art direction the designers went with. Munkidori looks like it came str8 out of a Nickelodeon cartoon.
"The worst Pokémon designs, cutscenes & dialogue feel super, super lifeless." So I was about to say "f**k off" but I realized I should be nicer & tell him dat there's not a single bad generation of designs, not even Gen5. Some are better than others ofcourse & if he reaallly feels that these games introduced the worst designs, then nothing you & I say will change or affect him. The main cutscenes (apart from no VA) are probably the most lifeful they've ever been in Pkmn. They bring out the character's personality & traits quite well. & if you read the dialogue & not button mash through, it can give you a lot of insight into the characters' past & current lives.

I feel like saying Scarlet and Violet are the “worst” Pokémon games just gives them a bad rap. In my honest opinion, Scarlet and Violet are definitely not the worst, but they ain’t the best either. I think the problem with Scarlet and Violet is that they weren’t able to meet our expectations as players. They did a lot to change up the formula and make the games more enjoyable. Optional Trainer battles, an open world to explore at your own pace, a bunch of side content to keep players busy during the post-game. I mean compare all that to the original Kanto games (which I personally think are the worst). It’s almost night and day when you compare those to SV. The majority of Scarlet and Violet’s problems stem from overambitious plans for a console that couldn’t run it properly and the fact that our expectations for The Pokémon Company are so high that we only want to complain about the games because they aren’t up to our standards. It’s okay to critique, but it’s not okay to criticize because you shouldn’t be criticizing what you can’t do.

@@PokeVersePlus I get that the video is your opinion, but I do feel like you don’t elaborate on all of your points. The only point you really elaborate on fully is the problem with Herba Mystica, which I can see being a problem for players, especially people shiny hunting, but that point takes up 1/3 of your video. Half of your video focuses on complaining about the DLC, but you don’t seem to elaborate on anything in there except for the fact that all the legendaries from The Teal Mask look bad as you compare them to the box legendaries (which are supposed to be epic) of a lot of previous generations as opposed to comparing them to the side legendaries of each game. All the other points in your video hold almost zero water without proper elaboration. If you ever remake this video, I’d love to hear your full opinion with full elaboration because you seem to not recognize a lot of things in the game that make it, honestly, one of the best Pokémon games in years.
Yeah I know I missed some points, I’ll probably make another part to this video because I ran out of time writing this one so I didn’t include everything, if I ever make a part 2 I’ll let you know👍
@@PokeVersePlus If you do, a few things to include is not obtaining a Pokémon by only evolving a Pokémon, Pikachu (and Eevee) back to its standard cry, and TMs being single use again.

yeah no, this is easily the best 3d pokemon game they've made, basically the only bad thing I can say about it is that it is missing a lot of pokemon (I have seen a ton of glitch compilations but ive yet to encounter a single one in my game)

For a whiny adult whose never satisfied “it’s a bad game” but I look at it from the perspective of my childhood self and it’s everything I could’ve asked for. It’s definitely better than Sword and Shield. To say it’s the worst is a Karen statement.
What do you like about it? I recently got a Switch and I am unsure if I should buy it. So I am genuinly curious about your opinion.
@@johannesgrote270The storyline, open world aspect (done better than legends), walking with your pokemon, shiny hunting is more fun, and competitive scene is great. If anything it may stress you out because there is so much to do. Now DLC wise the first was meh but DLC2 is alot more fun.
The game gets mixed reviews because it can glitch, but for me that was pretty rare. Even then it’s not that big of a deal. It’s like oh so this small issue that rarely happens makes literally the whole game suck? Um 🙄
