Total loss for the sample holders! Life After Death went DIAMOND
SO FUCKING TRUE THEY WOULD HAVE MADE TENS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS OFF THE SONG IF THEY CLEARED IT BUT OH WELL THEIR SUPER MAJOR LOSS BECAUSE THE SONG AND ALBUM ENDED UP BEING LEGENDARY
Adrian Flores no
thats true but the sample artist is a pacifist. He doesnt believe in violence. So naturally he wants nothing to with the rap game. Is what it is.
@@Mac11-92 No but biggie was just writer. He never did what he was rapping about in that song
@@dondee8214 I understand that but the artist who owned the rights to the sample did not like rap and what it was about.
This is one of my favourite biggie songs, biggie was a brilliant storyteller and knew how to paint a picture so well, one of the goats!
He said straight facts in the end, if biggie was here today he would try trap, as he said he would probably do song with the migoa and do their style in his own way, we can only imagine, rest in peace Biggie and Tupac 💓
condel gizzlo that hit me hard when he said that bruh
Bruh if big was here there's no worrying about sorry ass rappers like migos there's going to be better ones
Makaveli Killuminati bro u missing the whole point lmao biggie was open minded and knew the youth run this shit. He woulda fucked with many new rappers you just a hatin old head stuck in the past
condel gizzlo biggie wouldn’t do trap lol
And who else would've thought that Snoop Dogg or Ice Cube or even Dre would producing trap these days huh? times change bro. I bet Pac & Biggie would've been in and out of the occasional trap record these days
The most underrated producer of all time! O.C.'s "Word...Life" album is a classic.
Will B. Smooth - formerly KardiFan2000 good comment.
Soon as I heard time's up, I copped it.
Legendary
Haider Hasan lmao I see u on here so much I love these vids too

Buckwild is one of the best yet one of the most overlooked producers of the 90s, hands down.
"Down with the crew called Diggin In The Crates!"
Sixfeet great comment.
DITC was the the best.
From Cmon with the get down,ä to Whoa, he has a lot of classics for sure
He produced O.C.'s classic "Time's Up," which earned him royalties in the 8 Mile movie.

Words can’t describe the feeling of nostalgia that this track invokes! Thanks for the Memory ✊🏼
Best episode yet! This beat is legendary and too underrated. Inspiring...
My fav Biggie track. It’s still so relevant today. These new rappers cannot compete.
Wasn't expecting this! The interpolation sounds better than the original sample, imo.
exaaaaactly!!!! so fuck em...
I agree 💯
Yep
So this explains sooooo much. Now I understand how 80% of no way out got away with hijacking original beats, diddy just told the producer to change one or two notes and avoid any infringement or copyright issues...BRILLIANT!
In my humble opinion B.I.G. the dopest rapper ever. Excluding NOBODY. This brother was a great story teller. He had the ability to make you visualize the picture he painted as he rapped. My all time favorite.
I have never had a thought that a song from 1997 can still be deconstructed.
God bless you for keeping B.I.G vibes alive Buckwild.
Hearing Biggie rap at the beginning helped me remember that there was time people used to actually pronounce and enunciate their words
Demilade Olaleye people do it now but in the south we talk different. All the old heads that say “mumble rap this and that” are from New York. That’s why y’all can’t understand shit.
Also these old ass niggas need to understand that lyrical music is around but it’s not popular anymore
T Grandstaff only hating on mumble because they are trap stuff. Drugs, money, hoes... nah bro music is art. Just my opinion man but everyone has different music taste

SINERGY Biggie rapped about money, drugs , and hoes

Story to tell is a vibe. It should be featured in more rap movies
Biggie is my all-time favorite rapper. And this song is definitely in my top 5 favorite songs by him.
I’m so happy he tell the truth of how the production can take time to craft, very insightful and honest
There will never be another Biggie Smalls
There will. His name is Lil Pump, PhD outta Harvard.

I really miss B.I.G, I remember tearing up when I heard the news that Sunday morning. Great break down on how great he was.
Don’t get me wrong, I love almost all of Biggie’s songs and know em by heart. This song though, it has always stuck in my head cause of the sample and the way Biggie just really had a “story to tell”. Awesome video. Short but oh so sweet.
song is literal gold. can read the lyrics while listening and it feels like reading a short story
*_Big Poppa always gonna be the best_* 🙏

Man thank yall for doing this! I never knew they had to change out the sample like that. This one of my favorite biggie songs.

Iconic episode, good job genius
I have that Andreas Vollenweider Album. The Album is called Caverna Magica. I always felt some of his joints would make dope hip hop samples. Go listen to Three Silver Ladies Dance from His Down to The Moon Album.
I remember when I first listened to the album, the fact those Al Green drums were on both "Whats Beef" and "I Got a Story to Tell", slightly different, I actually enjoyed because it kinda put some musical/thematic unity on the album.
Biggie was a lyrical genius.
Adnan A without question
MAD RESPECT. That beat is dumb crazy honestly. I love the story of how it all came together. Very nice job.
Revisiting this...it really hit when he said biggie would still stand out today...biggie was a dangerous MC and a great storyteller and not scared to experiment...I could only imagine what he could have accomplished.
Finally a pure unbiased and precise description of Biggie's process...Biggie was deeper than most realize..
We gone ignore that p diddy had a recording studio called daddy's house
Luffy SkyWalker i was looking for this comment
Luffy SkyWalker lol mad sus.
Haha sounds about right diddy wanna be daddy to a lot of dudes

Biggie smooth flow and that.smooth beat is perfect 90's hip hop the best 🎤🎧🎵
Keep shooting was the message I got from this. How many times have artists told me "you got dope beats, but you aint nothing for me". Thanks #Buckwild
‘We are in the era of making 10 beats a day, shit it can take 5 hours to find the right drum sample’ F.A.C.T

Most slept on producer! 🔥 and in my opinion the best beat on the album!
I love how they go back and talk to these guys, the guys that taught me alot.

Buckwild is an underrated legend
Buck hella underated producer
This is what we need. Legendary Producers. Big Up BuckWild! D.I.T.C.!
"Shit, you can spend 5 hours looking for that one sample to go with your drums" true story
Crazy how I heard that song a million times but never fully payed attention to that sample until he stripped it down here. If it you took that one little piece away you totally change the entire vibe of the song. Love how those small little ingredients come together to make something great.
LEGEND
big would body so many records today, it's a trip to think. Genius killin it with these videos
Rip Notorious BIG
Y'all should do it on Deconstructed on Dre's beats!!
BTW Great video!! R.I.P Notorious Big
„Deconstructed“ is one of the best things on the internet 🔥
Yes
This is my all time favourite track from this album. Mad props for doing this song💯👊🏾
i’m not first but the like to view ratio is doing a madness so i’m satisfied. rip big guy,, why this nigga remember so much 😭😭🤧
I read somewhere that it was rumored to be a true story, that this really happened to a Knicks player (Anthony Mason.. RIP) and thats how he came up with the song, shows you his lyrical genius cause in this song you can see the story in your head as he's telling it, and his word play is so crafty and his flow is so clear and you understand every word everything in this track is legendary.
Notorious BIG we miss you!!!1
My favorite producer of all times, plus he's mad humble.
Pleassssssssssssssssssse do one with like Tupac, like Hit em Up, 2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted, or Hail Mary
Huy Dinh The producer has to be willing to do it first
I love how you guys show the sample names
get dj premier on here or q-tip or large professor... man to many to call them all but SO genius.
Really glad for that input about what Biggie would do if he was still alive. Me and my friends always speculate on that typa stuff
the orginal sample kinda sounds like wii music lol
This beat is so 🔥
*The making of Tupac ''Hail Mary'' please! we need this.*
That's probably the most simplest Pac beat ever
