For me the only real issues I have with TLD are that it lacks a distinct or unique identity - especially among the various factions. Everything blends together in a Hodge Podge of sci-fi future tech aesthetic, that nothing really stands out. This also extends to the writing - while the concept is pretty cool and right up my alley, the delivery and dialogue is all just generic sci-fi word salad. NPCs will often also repeat information said by the previous NPC - and with all the awkward moments in between gameplay it ruins the pacing, and makes it feel far more boring than it should.
I tried caring about the story for the first six hours of play time, but then, like you said, it got really generic and bland. The only part I enjoyed was what happened to Jeremy, because screw that guy lol
@JKhronoGaming1 o 100% and as long as they don't nerf shit and buff others to balance they will keep a high player count. Nerfs are why I quit playing borderlands. You want to feel the power you work so hard for.
uhm, the entire came is a mashup of games with literal copy paste stuff. Warframe, Destiny, and Defiance.
