I actually played outriders recently its honestly still a pretty fun game ...truly yea its rough ok fair enough its mundane and the same over and over but some as I every now and then enjoy it just a pity outriders didn't go further
There was parts of outsiders I liked but it had the feel of an above average ps2, maybe ps3 shooter. And then the villains and story and other things were just...I'd rather have no attempt at story than a very bad one.
Outriders had so much potential, I truly enjoy the combat style of it but after beating the game, it became boring quickly unfortunately. Destiny has more to do and feels more alive as you explore but the combat is boring. If those two games could have a baby....
At the moment, the only thing that bothers me is that there's a limit if building five things at a time. They might've talked about removing that after the last beta, but not that I've seen. It's not a huge problem, but still something dumb that shouldn't be in the game. The rng paint system that was in the last beta was ridiculous, and they listened to the community; promising to remove on release. So hopefully this'll be something they change too, since I don't recall them talking about it on the last dev stream.

itrs TRYING to have warframes monetization model but again it wont work because warframes monetization work hand in hand with the trading system.. thats what makes it a good system.. that is why warframe is soo praised as the best F2P model. there is no trading in this game. grinding for your potato's is going to take a long time sadly to say. and ontop of that to craft said potato (the reactors that boost mod capacity of descendants) its going to take you half a day or so. descendants are 15h to craft ontop of their sub components which are 8h i think
I liked not-Saryn when I played her in a beta some months back. She'll be even better in a school girl costume, I'm fairly certain. ;) I remember Bunny was nuts for a time, crazy powerful. Valby looks different, which is interesting. The trick here is going to be the Nexon part. I expect they'll Nexon it all up, but I'd be more than happy for them to surprise me and not make the monetization model a complete pile of poop. If there's one thing they really should copy from Warframe...
hangedman and frost walker were near impossible in pubs. someone randomly starts picking up the ball or the flames for no reason and then goes down. i just hope the shaper keys or shaped form something that they now call it in the last beta arent extremely rare I didn't get a chance to farm the missions for them
I played one of the tests, it was very fun, and obviously quite beautiful. I just hate that they are already pushing skins that are completely theme breaking. I get it, horny sells, but it breaks the immersion immediately. Especially when you already have such a cool and at times sexy art style.
Korean cares the least about it, and its a bummer because I've usually preferred their visual until then. Japan will still do it but as bad. But yeah so many devs have no regard for thematic consistency. Sucks.
@@shoukaiser A lots of games could fix this by having an option to toggle viewing skins. That way everyone can look however they want and I just see the default skins.
couldn’t agree more, the skins are nice, but they’re so out of place and very uninspired. the game’s style has a lot of potential for cool/unique/sexy skins, a combo of cyber and casual like a cybernetic french maid outfit or something, but they went with the most generic bland designs. the crossplay beta (at least i think it was that one) had way better skins, even though most were just same design with minor alterations.
Freya was my fav but in the beta where u could have played on console she was doing no type of real damage the water girl had her beat by miles which i find crazy. Hopefully she will be putting in work now when the full game is out
At the current state of the game, it resembles The Division and Warframe mixed together. Not a bad thing, I loved both games, mixed together it looks great.
This may be good to start. I'd like to see a flying descendant like anthem. They need to be developing more content to release gradually. They also need a progression system. This could be the best game ever.
I studied game development and plan to have a studio some time in my 30s-40s, ive always had a passion for game design and whilst i have no published titles, i do have around 3 games created that i could release right now, no polish needed, and a library of many others that are "completed" but need polish. with my obsession for all things game development, i can tell you exactly why warframe is successful. the dedicated audience outnumbers the casual audience massively. games have two audiences, the "dedicated" and the "casual". if a games audience is by majority casual, the developer will do things that cater to the casual audience. the best example of this is halo. compare the last halo with halo infinite. consider the halo series that disgraced everything master chief stands for a character trope. this was all done because of and for the casual audience that erupted onto the scene back when gaming went mainstream during covid. with warframe, the game by lack of hand holding has horrible player retention. im still only 600 hours into the game, so i remember vividly starting and not knowing what i was doing at all, just running around spamming E. the reason excal is the most picked starter is because of how easy it is to understand his kit. it is just, "sword" "smash E". i had a friend guiding me early game and honestly i did not know wtf i was doing even when he was telling me what to do. i didnt know i could get warframes without plat (this was all pre duviri btw), so i wouldnt have gotten rhino without him. i didnt know i could easily get prime warframes, i thought i had to buy weapons with plat etc. this is likely why destiny fanboys say that the game is pay to win. because they are a majority casual audience game and simply did not stick it out long enough to learn that even if you wanted to buy weapons for plat, you can easily earn it rather than pay for it. what this means for the developers is that their community will hold them accountable, we can see this with how the community reacted when regal aya dropped, or more recently, heirloom skins. The fact that the community will put their foot down in unison and give a shit about things like that is the the dominant reason as to why warframe has remained a success. this brings us neatly over into the games formula. it is completely free to play, even down to the cosmetics. the only thing that isnt earnable are prime accessories. everything else is completely fair game for free to play players. it is this strict free to play formula that attracts people to the game. trading is also an integral part of the gameplay loop the core gameplay itself is incredibly fun and there is genuinely a playstyle - a warframe for everyone. a primary, a secondary, a melee for everyone. This game is the definition of peak gaming. if the first descendant adopted that same strict free to play (even in regard to cosmetics) model, they could see similar success provided everything else gameplay wise is in order, there is potential here.
WF sucessfull? they have thier vet players in ass for many years. look how many vets just didint log to the game for last 3-4 years, no content only new grind is added, no endgame no nothing.

That is no ones fault but their own, there are plenty of vet players and even founders that still play the game, if there were not, it wouldnt be a good idea to start your day by going to a relay and asking for blessings, hoping someone MR 30+ is there to give it to you, but thats what most players do because there is simply no shortage of veteran players still actively playing the game. so many people cry about a supposed end game, but no one ever comes with ideas for such a thing, because the truth is there is nothing else to give these players. give them harder gameplay and theyll just outscale it with damage and builds, give them more to grind for and theyll do it within a few days. what end game could be added for people who eat and eat yet are never satisfied

@@MrBalrogos ive never seen a more incorrect statement warframe is successful because its difficult to get into as a new player, the game is sustained and upheld by a tight knit, rugged community again, you cant complain about endgame whilst not saying what it is you actually want. the truth is you dont know what you want, because youve had everything the game could possibly offer you, and youre still not satisfied. the fact is the majority of people are satisfied, and the few who complain about lack of endgame have played thousands of hours. you can hardly claim that to be failure rather than success. once again, do not complain about "lack of endgame" when you have no suggestions there can not be an "endgame" for a game where you can deal damage so absurd the game simply can not process it, and it comes out in the negatives.
This game will hopefully be a hit. I really enjoyed all the betas I played and always basically maxed out at least 3 characters each beta. The only thing I worry is that characters are to boring and clunky For example Kyle was always animation locked a lot especially after his ultimate. His overall design is really good the fantasy behind it as well but the overall gameplay was a bit lacking Jaybear s turrets just were not strong or fun to play around with. They didnt feel like they upgraded at all and always felt like pea shooters. Blair was also rather 1 dimensonal and didnt really feel fun to get his cooking going ^^ Those were the 3 that really didnt feel good from what I tested. Then the Grapple Hook felt often times really inconsistent. Ajax Lepic and Viessa were really cool though and I likely just main Ajax its just so fun having shields that you can plop everywhere.
The beta i played with my mates last year in console was probably the most Polished free to play game id ever played We grinded the shit outta that beta for a whole week, felt like the old days of Destiny ngl
had hella fun playing the void intercept was def a gear check tbh the only reason why i completed all of them was bc of the hackers which made me see like they need to make it so when i mod my weapon the best i can i want to see that i actually do damage and not sit there until the mission timer runs out again they were fun game it self is amazing its just the higher intercepts took forever bc of the lack of higher dps but could just be a skill issue and im just talking idk either way the game is gonna be a hit
I had soooo much fun during its first beta. So much that i needed to feed a craving i had for a looter shooter like it that i picked up Warframe again(i already play D2 regularly). Excited for its release
i had hopes in the first 2 tests. When it went from very early UE5 to then updating to 5.2 still wasnt the best optimisation wise and then the last test not too long ago. Optimisation and performance had significantly improved to the point i ran the game VERY well. But besides that im not expecting much from this game sadly, And going in with low hopes. The game wont compete with warframe nor will it beat warframe. The whole "Maid" outfits is honestly trying too hard just like with gacha games and MMO RPG's trying to cash in on the simps splurging on sexy and half naked costumes. Warframe has none of that and they still make some of the coolest skins there is. There wont be any trading in game so there is a huge emphasis on spending money to expand your weapon, reactor and weapon mod storage. Yes they removed the gacha colour system from the game because no one liked that. but there was alot about the previous test that just left it feeling underwhelming. The battlepass is trying too hard to copy fortnite while at the same time being significantly more time consuming. Gunplay and movement still pretty much felt the same. They still never buffed alot of descendants that needed it to compete with bunny. Far too many are saying this is the warframe killer which its never going to be. As much as i want competition it just aint. the second technical test peaked at 77k players. The FINAL technical test only got a little over 31k. So they know at least about 20-30k players are returning. bundle that with a influx of new players hearing about it or seeing it on the steam landing page it might climb back up to the second test levels or who knows maybe break 100k.
I hope the micro trasaction sistem is kinda like the warframe mt sistem, cuz if i can get something only if i pay and there is not a way to make premium currenci then is a big nono for me
I was enjoying Freyna too in the beta, I hope this game isnt hard focusing the micro transactions but imma grind my heart out and finish the story, focus on endgame and see how crazy the grind is for specific mods. some seems super difficult but the beta last year only allowed us to L33ish or so. playing a lot more story should give us a better view of the gameplay, grind etc. I dont mind spending a bit of real money (around the cost of a normal game because i would pay for this anyways) but if we get to endgame and u have to spend to keep up like Diablo immortal, i wont stay in the long run.
Still think the game has foundational problems, the open world sucks, and more importantly the movement is beta level, it isn't smooth, its hella jank, and it isn't fluid at all yet they haven't fixed it it makes no sense to me Im not even saying copy warframe because i think warframes movement is too high and makes the game a cake-walk but rn it honestly feels unfinished yet they refuse to address the issue
Let us be mindful of the high probability that this game will have very serious problems with its required online login into Nexon servers on July 2 & also for the next few days/weeks. Nexon will eventually fix things but it could take a few days or weeks until most players can login & not get disconnected from Nexon’s online servers. I expect that hundreds of thousands of players will all be trying to login to this game on July 2. Nexon will of course apologize profusely about the inconvenience that they have caused to their fans & may offer us some minor free DLC as compensation.
yeah it looks alright.... like she sings in the song at the end theough "something doesn't feel right". just hope they add some good new boss fights to warframe tbh
I sincerely hope that this game, is the continuation of a genre for some other games coming to an end of a cycle and i hope it blows other games in the genre trying too hard out the doggy water their marinating in😂😅 in other words cant wait to play "Decendant Frame Divers".👏
The best parts of this game are the audio and that mental picture I have of all the skinny girls that missed out on getting the polar bear backpack from the beta.
Doesn't sounds like "Honest review" sort of thing. Your narration focuses on positive similarities with other games and this game has lots of negative aspects as well. Also being similar in one aspect doesn't mean it will be as good as the original since sometimes, the little things create a big difference and there is also systems synergies in place. Been playing early beta of TFD and from what I can tell, nothing changed in the diff. level. Enemies are still just weak sponges for bullets so there is not real challange in shooting to them. No point aiming for the head, weakspots or menaging the ammunition. We had similar endgame content in Outriders and it didn't age well (and Outriders was superior in terms of actuall combat compared to this game. At least for me.) so I expect many people will get bored rly soon even if they somehow menage to stay 'till endgame. To summarize, game looks way too easy, has nothing to serve expect for some ok graphics (not animations tho) and cool body armors at this moment. Hype alone won't make it a good game.
I remember I played some Alpha or Beta version quite some time ago and was really disappointed. The game wasn't bad per se - just noticeably average. Nothing stood out for me back than. Maybe I'll give it another go and test the launch version. will see.
Is it free to play or no? I disliked the beta review, the world was open but empty and the only way to get the world occupied somewhat by enemies to kill would be to accept a quest but it would be like 30 enemies in a certain area. I hope the world will be open and able to farm enemies and materials and nit just accepting quest to make the world active in any way
I wish the raid bosses encounter had more of Deatiny. Since I believe its a max party of 4, so it cud theoretically implement a 4 player puzzle focused then dps execution raid.
I'm very happy you can stomach the game. It's one of the most dull and uninspired games i've played in a long time. I hope those who love it enjoy for years to come.
The UI looks like it was ripped from a mobile game. Thats a -3 from me. + It's from the East... I don't trust them much. Usualy the game is prety decent but the monetization is realy realy bad. (Lort Ark, BDO for example)

I’m hoping they expand their world way more. It feels too small for everything you have going on. I kinda wish they gave us a ghenshin impact or wuthering waves open world. Even warframe has more missions, worlds, and things to do all over their planets. This games world seems so small for what it has to offer and that’s my biggest worry
I just can't grasp the hype behind this, it felt very basic and bland when i played it, and the loot system having borderlands style drops with warframe style modding feels annoying and like it's trying to do too much.
I dont think it looks that good to be honest imo. Don't wanna be negative but the character model/texture look like dolls, missions look basic, abilities are meh looking, the movement looks like its going in the right direction but just not there yet. is that a bad take?
Can't help it, but something feels off... The game visually looks ok. But something feel wrong. Will give it a try, but right now it feels unlikely to stick around.

As long as I can do everything solo and microtransactions are optional I’ll give it a go

warframe is successful because its difficult to get into as a new player, the game is sustained and upheld by a tight knit, rugged community
again, you cant complain about endgame whilst not saying what it is you actually want. the truth is you dont know what you want, because youve had everything the game could possibly offer you, and youre still not satisfied. the fact is the majority of people are satisfied, and the few who complain about lack of endgame have played thousands of hours. you can hardly claim that to be failure rather than success.
once again, do not complain about "lack of endgame" when you have no suggestions
there can not be an "endgame" for a game where you can deal damage so absurd the game simply can not process it, and it comes out in the negatives.
This game will hopefully be a hit. I really enjoyed all the betas I played and always basically maxed out at least 3 characters each beta. The only thing I worry is that characters are to boring and clunky
For example Kyle was always animation locked a lot especially after his ultimate. His overall design is really good the fantasy behind it as well but the overall gameplay was a bit lacking
Jaybear s turrets just were not strong or fun to play around with. They didnt feel like they upgraded at all and always felt like pea shooters.
Blair was also rather 1 dimensonal and didnt really feel fun to get his cooking going ^^
Those were the 3 that really didnt feel good from what I tested. Then the Grapple Hook felt often times really inconsistent.
Ajax Lepic and Viessa were really cool though and I likely just main Ajax its just so fun having shields that you can plop everywhere.

The beta i played with my mates last year in console was probably the most Polished free to play game id ever played
We grinded the shit outta that beta for a whole week, felt like the old days of Destiny ngl
I dont trust the devs just got a weird feeling, ill play for free and see how things go
had hella fun playing the void intercept was def a gear check tbh the only reason why i completed all of them was bc of the hackers which made me see like they need to make it so when i mod my weapon the best i can i want to see that i actually do damage and not sit there until the mission timer runs out again they were fun game it self is amazing its just the higher intercepts took forever bc of the lack of higher dps but could just be a skill issue and im just talking idk either way the game is gonna be a hit

I had soooo much fun during its first beta. So much that i needed to feed a craving i had for a looter shooter like it that i picked up Warframe again(i already play D2 regularly). Excited for its release

Ultimate weapons have specials passives like arcing lightning to groups, explosions etc. So ye there is uniques

I used ajax the most. I played 1 pc beta and the ps5. I liked the boss fights. But if it's just boss fight in the end, idk how long to play.

i had hopes in the first 2 tests. When it went from very early UE5 to then updating to 5.2 still wasnt the best optimisation wise and then the last test not too long ago. Optimisation and performance had significantly improved to the point i ran the game VERY well.
But besides that im not expecting much from this game sadly, And going in with low hopes. The game wont compete with warframe nor will it beat warframe. The whole "Maid" outfits is honestly trying too hard just like with gacha games and MMO RPG's trying to cash in on the simps splurging on sexy and half naked costumes. Warframe has none of that and they still make some of the coolest skins there is.
There wont be any trading in game so there is a huge emphasis on spending money to expand your weapon, reactor and weapon mod storage. Yes they removed the gacha colour system from the game because no one liked that. but there was alot about the previous test that just left it feeling underwhelming. The battlepass is trying too hard to copy fortnite while at the same time being significantly more time consuming. Gunplay and movement still pretty much felt the same. They still never buffed alot of descendants that needed it to compete with bunny.
Far too many are saying this is the warframe killer which its never going to be. As much as i want competition it just aint. the second technical test peaked at 77k players. The FINAL technical test only got a little over 31k. So they know at least about 20-30k players are returning. bundle that with a influx of new players hearing about it or seeing it on the steam landing page it might climb back up to the second test levels or who knows maybe break 100k.
I hope the micro trasaction sistem is kinda like the warframe mt sistem, cuz if i can get something only if i pay and there is not a way to make premium currenci then is a big nono for me

I was enjoying Freyna too in the beta, I hope this game isnt hard focusing the micro transactions but imma grind my heart out and finish the story, focus on endgame and see how crazy the grind is for specific mods. some seems super difficult but the beta last year only allowed us to L33ish or so. playing a lot more story should give us a better view of the gameplay, grind etc. I dont mind spending a bit of real money (around the cost of a normal game because i would pay for this anyways) but if we get to endgame and u have to spend to keep up like Diablo immortal, i wont stay in the long run.
They've already changed the gacha color transactions so hopefully the MTX aren't bad

Still think the game has foundational problems, the open world sucks, and more importantly the movement is beta level, it isn't smooth, its hella jank, and it isn't fluid at all yet they haven't fixed it it makes no sense to me
Im not even saying copy warframe because i think warframes movement is too high and makes the game a cake-walk but rn it honestly feels unfinished yet they refuse to address the issue
Let us be mindful of the high probability that this game will have very serious problems with its required online login into Nexon servers on July 2 & also for the next few days/weeks. Nexon will eventually fix things but it could take a few days or weeks until most players can login & not get disconnected from Nexon’s online servers. I expect that hundreds of thousands of players will all be trying to login to this game on July 2. Nexon will of course apologize profusely about the inconvenience that they have caused to their fans & may offer us some minor free DLC as compensation.

Doesn't sounds like "Honest review" sort of thing. Your narration focuses on positive similarities with other games and this game has lots of negative aspects as well.
Also being similar in one aspect doesn't mean it will be as good as the original since sometimes, the little things create a big difference and there is also systems synergies in place.
Been playing early beta of TFD and from what I can tell, nothing changed in the diff. level. Enemies are still just weak sponges for bullets so there is not real challange in shooting to them. No point aiming for the head, weakspots or menaging the ammunition.
We had similar endgame content in Outriders and it didn't age well (and Outriders was superior in terms of actuall combat compared to this game. At least for me.) so I expect many people will get bored rly soon even if they somehow menage to stay 'till endgame.
To summarize, game looks way too easy, has nothing to serve expect for some ok graphics (not animations tho) and cool body armors at this moment.
Hype alone won't make it a good game.

The game wasn't bad per se - just noticeably average. Nothing stood out for me back than.

I disliked the beta review, the world was open but empty and the only way to get the world occupied somewhat by enemies to kill would be to accept a quest but it would be like 30 enemies in a certain area.
I hope the world will be open and able to farm enemies and materials and nit just accepting quest to make the world active in any way

The UI looks like it was ripped from a mobile game. Thats a -3 from me. + It's from the East... I don't trust them much. Usualy the game is prety decent but the monetization is realy realy bad. (Lort Ark, BDO for example)

I could see myself putting time into this game, but I honestly don't see it lasting too long.
I’m hoping they expand their world way more. It feels too small for everything you have going on. I kinda wish they gave us a ghenshin impact or wuthering waves open world. Even warframe has more missions, worlds, and things to do all over their planets. This games world seems so small for what it has to offer and that’s my biggest worry
I just can't grasp the hype behind this, it felt very basic and bland when i played it, and the loot system having borderlands style drops with warframe style modding feels annoying and like it's trying to do too much.
