First of all, you should ask "Why". I don't usually reply to this type of comments but it's getting frustrating and I do use AI voice in my channel to convey the message, as I have uncontrollable tics when reading something longer than 7 seconds. AI voices has been a big help to do what I love, and I'm constantly trying to improve my videos. The other problem is that I'm not a native english speaker because I live in SEA, and it's becomes harder to read english words with my current state. I did not say a word about this for years, because I was ashamed of my current condition, and I just always say that it's better with the AI voices. You don't exactly know me, and to insult me like that is just pure stupidity.

Just recently the developers addressed the issue and the randomized paint system will be removed before launch alongside other changes like the battle coins which were in the battle pass will also be removed
@@jazz_soroyuza They're not a one time purchase though. They're a consumable now. You will pay every time you want to apply the same paint to a different part of the skin. 25 Caliber actually, or $5 for 250 Caliber.

Pay for convenience in PVE is typically ass because they make the affected portion of the game extra bad just to make that "pay" for convenience that much more enticing...
I really enojyed the beta. First time playing and yeah it really reminded me of WF - especially ability to mod your descendants and weapons altering their performance that way. I'm not concerned about microtransactions, I've played WF for many years now - grind is not a stranger. Really looking forward to playing the game tho.
I enjoyed the tech test. I'm never concerned about microtransactions. All I had to was follow the main quest log there are missions in there specifically to unlock descendants
Same but hopefully we can level the battlepass regardless of doing all these different missions but maybe its so you explore its hole world and tackle its content
I hate how alot of games now a days Practice the art of fomo (fear of missing out) whem it comes to guns and loot imo if a game has a gun in a battle pass they should make it so that yo can still obtain it after the event but dont make it easy so if you want the gun you have to work for it like everyone else did I just dont really like comeing into a game just to find out some gear and guns are Unobtainable.
Exactly the reason why I hate Destiny 2 and love Warframe so much. Battle passes work on FPS shooters or PVP games like Nexon's other big game, THE FINALS. But it's a major red flag for a PvE MMO like this.
As someone who's been playing warframe since 2013 and doesn't do anything now in warframe but lvl cap runs, I'm at the point where I'm only playing update to update. I hope this game is a success and something that can fill the void between the long Warframe updates🙏
Nexon really showed their total lack of shame with the RNG paint. One of the best gifts you can give a new warframe player is color pallets, which makes DE non-trivial money. Anyone spending a penny on the paint system needs to be shamed for mindlessly rewarding leaders who belong in poverty not management.
I'll be the first to call them out if they get greedy but they immediately reverted on the paints after feedback... That is a very good thing. They actively listen to feedback and change things accordingly. I don't blame them having a battle pass being F2P unlike that shithole Destiny 2 which charges full game price + has season pass + has eververse. Bungie is the definition of greedy.
@@drae_gon1369The seasonal model is what ruined Destiny in my eyes. The Final Shape is a solid experience but the episodes are literally just seasons (I bought TFS for $50, not $100. Echoes came with the $50 purchase). Though I enjoy Final Shape, it's mainly just a time killer until Dawntrail early access starts next Friday (which I'm excited for)

Trying to maintain those convoluted rotations + the crazy dance choreography of the boss/trials is just too much for my old brain to process 🤣 But ya I'm done with D2. I got TFS just to finish out the story and now I'm just so burnt out on it after 5000+ hours. Especially since most of the "new" content is just rehashed or reskinned they resell to you for the 10th time like Bungie always does. I'm waiting on The First Descendant to release July 2nd. The point of paint being used on the characters is to make them look cool like how destiny has one whole pack for shaders that are sold in glimmer also if they take that type of tactic from destiny 2 shader collection being on sale for the money that you earn in-game also want to ask is there any vehicle to use to explore the map area’s
What scares me about this game are all the patents Nexon has to modify drop rates bases on things like where you live, how many or how good your friends are, how well you are playing, etc. I will for sure try it this week but I will not take this serious at all
Well, going off your logic You said it's not yet since there is nothing in the store that gives you an Unfair Advantage... That isn't true at all at launch at least. Usually, I am okay with paying for convenience stuff as I play games like Guild Wars 2 and other Mmorpgs. But there is a very thin line between the pay-for-convenience stuff being paid to win and not. Paying for stuff now that would otherwise be locked to something like a 30 or so-hour grind is a bit pay-to-win at launch at least. So, in the store, you can buy every single character instantly instead of doing the stupidly long grind for one. You can buy end-game mats to level up your gun and character right off the bat in 20+ stacks. You can buy some end-game mats that otherwise take many hours to grind for. Buying the Battle Pass gives you Bonus Weapon and character Xp... That is 100% an unfair advantage over others at launch at least.
There will always be people with different opinions on what they perceive as the correct and only way to do things. I did noticed you used a different A.I. voice for this video compared to your other videos in the past First Descendant Beta. The video is inaccurate. There are Crystal's you need to buy to increase your mod level, to equip a mod and upgrade a mod. Around ten dollars each time and you get 6 mods per weapon. Three to four weapons and 6 mods for your character. Each one cost ten dollars roughly per crystal. Then to increase the mod to make it stronger cost another crystal.
Battle Pass is not good monetisation. It's greedy monetisation that focuses on the FOMO aspect, just like Destiny 2. I would have loved this game and I have played all the betas, but this time I was really disappointed. I'm out. I could have bought it for something like Nexon's other big game, THE FINALS, but grindy PvE MMOs like this don't really work with Battle Passes. That is why Warframe is the GOAT.
it IS that easy to figure out what is NOT easy is finding people to run these games that either: 1. don't start off greedy 2. don't get greedy after the initial success
I think the best f2p monetization is Path of Exile. Most of what you can buy is cosmetics. They're expensive af, but when the game is free you feel less bad about paying $30 for a skin. The only "pay to win" thing about it is stash tabs for holding more crap, which is: 1) not technically necessary if you're committed. 2) cheap AND go on sale like every 3 weeks.
Imho, pay for convenience is the same thing as pay to win. You gain an unfair advantage over other players at achieving game goals. It's just less annoying as long as there's no competition in any shape or form between players. As soon as competition is involved and affected, straight to pay to win it goes. So, a game that starts as pay for convenience can easily morph into pay to win later as soon as they introduce some form of PvPvE, for example.

I promise you the battle pass will be far from the only things available for purchase. These games start off well meaning, however the majority or players will NOT spend on the game meaning in order to keep the game going the have to milk the people they'll will. Now peoples argument is fortnight. That doesn't count because we are talking about kids playing that game and skins being something younger players care about. This game will not have that, so the only thing left if to sell players advantages to put them above other players to show off.
Yeah, that's why I'm not gonna touch it until after launch when I can get a better idea if the micro transactions are something I'm willing to deal with (I'm guessing it will be a pass)
The pay to win was noticeable in the Beta in the form of their version of Forma's. Nearly impossible to farm but easy to buy. It will take days just to have a chance to get one.
the battlepass is not nearly as bad as the coloring aspect I HATE games that monetizing gambling with a passion if that does not get changed, this game becomes an easy skip for me
When the reason for not playing something is the fact that you can't have a pink or blue suit then it's all said about the current state of gaming! Players who value the character's color more than the gameplay and fun are the real problem nowadays! Children's thing without a doubt lol.
Can you earn the premium currency in game? I am interested but i have come to absolutely hate the premium currency game setup but i do give lenency to those who give options to earn it in game like helldivers or warframe. Also is there a single player mode i know its a squad shooter but i do enjoy lear ing on my own thrn pushing into the player space.
Surely pay to win onky matters in PVP games. The issue I have is casual gamers will struggle to get into this game unless they pay to skip the grind. But the grind is what makes unlocking things more enjoyable.
Wether or not something is pay to win, mainly relies on whether or not the player feels that it is. If the devs fail at making the players feel it isn't P2W, then that is a design problem that the devs have to solve, not a problem on the players side. And pve games can definitely be P2W. Even convinience can be, especially if it solves QoL problems in the game, made on purpose to sell the solution, or the game feels unfair in its drop rates without paying. In that regard I personally feel that both warframe and even gw2 havesome P2W elements. Neither of them has enough to ruin the game for me though, and so far neither does descendant... except no coloring of default skins. Thats a fucking crime.
They should implement the warframe business model....it is an EXAMPLE of how free to play games should be...the feedback was mostly negative...so I think we are going to see changes...!
It comes to company culture and having muliple pillars of monetization isnt that common, especially trading all mods for premium currency. Did you know mod trading wasnt even a launch feature and only happened in update 8 (mods 2.0 and more)

I usually play free games only and never spend money, but I think I just might have to clean out the cobwebs from my wallet for TFD, not for paints though. I'm not looking to play a fashion dress up game.
From the first open beta that i played they just took the same formula of warframe then adapted it. But if you’re not bothering with pvp you can most likely skip the battle pass as long as it’s not locking store and ect behind it. I want them to not go scummy because DE need some competition to step up as a 2000h player started back in a year after if drop in PS it needs content for its longer term players and stop handing everything out to newer comers like it currently is like Steel path circuit should only be allowed for people who completed the steel path star chart because those weapons are very game changing
Nexon will show their true colors in the end. They always do. If the Fair Trade Commission in Korea barely slapped them on the hand for their unacceptable behavior in maplestory with an 8 mil dollar (what a joke) fine, then they'll happily continue their anti-consumer practices in other online games. If you support this publisher, then you're part of the problem in the games industry. Your choice.
Same here, I played both betas and this last technical test. The first beta was awful. The second had me hooked, I could not out it down. I filled out paragraphs worth of feedback for the survey because they felt soooo close to being excellent. Then this technical test happened and completely killed my enthusiasm for the game. It just felt worse in multiple ways, I couldn't believe it
was really excited to be playing again but for some reason my pc cant handle it. i can run most games on max settings easily but for not this game even with everything on the lowest. im hoping this is just an optimization bug or thingy thats gonna get patched. waited for so long and just to realize i cant play
Friend was getting an "out of video memory" error when it was compiling shaders. Do you have an intel CPU? The 13th generation has problems when compiling shaders on the newest Unreal Engine. If that's the case, you'll have to look it up because you won't have problems with just this game, you'll have problems with any game made in the new Unreal engine if it compiles shaders.

Buy anything that’s another thing they copied from or frame right there’s no payroll items in here. There are some items that are way more difficult to acquire than others but there’s nothing in the game that you have to buy everything in the cash shop is just the convenience you don’t have to buy any of it Frame, you don’t have to buy any of it so if the cash app bothers you, Maxon bothers you it’s a free game play it if you start seeing friends since that Trump race are nonexistent for necessary items and start getting suspicious. You’re gonna always walk away there’s no reason you have to keep playing. You can just walk away when it gets that way, go back to frame the final camper. I mean, if you haven’t completely worn out all the contents in that game go back and play it pick up some other shooters that you haven’t actually played. I was having a blast even though I suck I did not realize how sweaty people got in those like games it’s sweaty as fuck and I suck and I am lucky if I can get 10 or 15 kills and you know Fourth or fifth person on the list but I’m still having fun and I was playing the shit out of it. I like every channel and and what not is the free season but this game came out I’ve been dedicated to playing this and if this game starts getting boring, I’ll go back. I got no phone psychological trick reserve for week led sample. Battle pass is not free item in the battle pass that I want now and that’s the only way to get it right it may be available later in the game, but if I buy it for racing out if I don’t get it if I haven’t been playing in months and I miss out that shit not a big deal. I like fallout 76 but I haven’t played it once since this new patch came out with the new area on the map and all the new weapon I just don’t give a shit, if and when I play and I get some of those weapons great if I don’t, I don’t care cause there’s nothing in the game that challenge is free. I can do every kind of the game already kind of boring I logged in and I see something in the past that I miss, it’ll be around again at some point if I ever actually login again
Not the NPC, but each other. Like in D1 if you didnt have Ghorn you'd be throwing in DPS for bosses. The power creep could gate keep other players who are more shy on pulling the trigger on spending money in the game vs whales or people who are skipping the grind and just getting stronger to play without the grind

@@Mkehollow my bad, not Division. In Destiny 1. You'd be kicked from raid groups with out having specific gear equip or the right sub classes. Celestial for hunters on gunslinger for high DPS, Ghorn is an exotic rocket luncher that would melt enemies. If they were to introduce a weapon like that as a premium pack and not at all grind-able, that would put free to play players in a hard spot for the voids like hanged man were DPS is needed to make into the next phase of the fight

When I played beta it was more of a freedom to choose how you build your character, but when it came to gear and weapons we had to actually go out and grind for something. Some characters were locked but had a choice to buy or grind for it, like it give a certain achievement that you will do in order to unlock it
@@Mkehollow yes, it was alittle confusing on how to get some of the descendent pieces but it was satisfying and not too grindy. I've been following dev notes and seen that they've changed certain things in the open world and the UI for modules and weapons. Paint used to be buy able through currency but now its a rng slot machine. As long as loot and weapons are not locked behind a pay wall the game will be incredible, i dont mind harder content to get better gear and cosmetics.
People are freaking about Microtransactions like a bloody witch hunt on this game. It's as if people are just expecting skins like fortnite. We'll you're paying for faster progression. You can't even buy the ultimate guns parts, just the heroes of the game in which costs less in terms of ultimate versions to that of prime bundle in warframe. Then we have a similar game Destiny. Uh, Destiny came out twice as full priced AAA Game. With multiple DLC. Now it's free to play, with 3 EXPANSION REMOVED $40 or more each, and still available to buy, to buy not to play. Then season passes, dungeons that are now separate from seasonal passes and requires you to buy a key each time, all this said, you need to pay real money for it. In comparison, descendant started out free to play, with nothing truly locked behind Pay wall, extreme grind however not as terrible as Destiny or Warframe. Example: warframe, to get a part for a warframe, Harrow, it's a 0.0004% drop rate, on the third objective of a mission which is the hardest/longest to get to. Ended up paying for the warframe instead of grinding. This, this is possible in the game.

I'd love to be hopeful, but the Triple-A industry drained any good will I'm willing to grant them, even CDPR failed with Cyberpunk's launch, I don't trust any of them any more, with very few exceptions, like FromSoft, Grinding Gear Games or the Monster Hunter team. And I certainly don't trust Nexon nor a dev team that already had history of bad monetization. Even indie games, which I love, can get greedy, it's rare since their success relays on good will and word of mouth. DE had the benefit of being independent, at least until recently, so they fell into the same category of relaying on the good will of the community. I still have some trust in DE, since Tencent owns Grinding Gear Games and they are still doing a great job, so hopefully Tencent will leave DE to fo their thing
dont forget the weapon in the battle pass is in the free pass. you just have to complete the levels of the battle pass to unlock it. which is normal. just like destiny does. it could also become available for free the season after bp, we just dont know yet. waiting to see.
I might be only early access and later on expensive store purchase just like overwatch 2 introduced the mythic shop with all bp seasonal tier 80 skins to buy ....

Its a free to play game ! Do you work for free? They Will need to have income , many Will pay and many Will play for free thanks to the ones who pay! As much expensive as it would may be there is no pay to win in a PVE game lol.

600 ducets bought battle pass and premium was more. pretty generic with these games battle pass is 20$ for premium. i have a feeling it will be 10 usd=1000 ducets. but hopefully we will see. (just as an assumption to kinda guage prices for now. well see what happens when game releases. that would put descendents at 10-20$ and ultimate descendents (prime warframes) at 50ish a pop? i think it was? i cant remember how much the ultimates costed thought was 5k.
So, the battlepass system is the same as Fortnite's system. The only difference is that Fortnite is purely cosmestic, while TFD is gonna have weapons. The color system is pure BS. I got nothing against crafting new colors, but the colors being locked to a single descendant once it's equipped is ridiculous.
Fortnite is one of those Battle Passes that I give an absolute pass(get it?) to. Same with Dead by Daylight's. If you buy the Battle Pass and complete it, it gives enough currency to buy the next one as long as you've finished it. That means people that don't want to spend money but have a lot of free time can grind stuff like it out once and then have enough premium currency to buy the next one, plus some extra currency.

The only things I worry about is if I have to pay for things to progress, or progress quickly. As in have to pay to bypass days of grinding. The other is items and weapons that you can only get by paying for them, and give those who do or can pay an advantage over other players. I don't mind so much on if I have to play the game to get the same things others may pay to have more quickly, so long as that option is available to play to get them.
Everyone tends to forget how monotized call of duty and other AAA games are, and they are NOT f2p games. Like, you spend $50+ on the game and still get slammed everytime you login to buy this, buy that. Just saying. Pick your argument.

I was 100% excited for this game but after this technical test I'm...80%. The game itself is still cool, but the monetization reminded me who's publishing this. That said I do agree it's not as egregious as other F2Ps or even B2Ps. And I'm an adult, I can through a few bucks into something I enjoy. But I do worry just how slippery this slope is gonna get. I also wish they didn't mess with the color system. It initially was very Warframe-like which I was really happy with. Now it's as you stated: RNG, once per use, and objectively worse. I really hope they took in feedback like they said they did and revert those changes, or at least alleviate the randomness. Yeah it's cosmetic, but just because it's not pay2win doesn't mean it can't be egregious and anti-player.

Pay for convenience in PVE is typically ass because they make the affected portion of the game extra bad just to make that "pay" for convenience that much more enticing...
I really enojyed the beta. First time playing and yeah it really reminded me of WF - especially ability to mod your descendants and weapons altering their performance that way. I'm not concerned about microtransactions, I've played WF for many years now - grind is not a stranger. Really looking forward to playing the game tho.
I enjoyed the tech test. I'm never concerned about microtransactions. All I had to was follow the main quest log there are missions in there specifically to unlock descendants
Same but hopefully we can level the battlepass regardless of doing all these different missions but maybe its so you explore its hole world and tackle its content
I hate how alot of games now a days Practice the art of fomo (fear of missing out) whem it comes to guns and loot imo if a game has a gun in a battle pass they should make it so that yo can still obtain it after the event but dont make it easy so if you want the gun you have to work for it like everyone else did

Exactly the reason why I hate Destiny 2 and love Warframe so much. Battle passes work on FPS shooters or PVP games like Nexon's other big game, THE FINALS. But it's a major red flag for a PvE MMO like this.

As someone who's been playing warframe since 2013 and doesn't do anything now in warframe but lvl cap runs, I'm at the point where I'm only playing update to update. I hope this game is a success and something that can fill the void between the long Warframe updates🙏

Nexon really showed their total lack of shame with the RNG paint. One of the best gifts you can give a new warframe player is color pallets, which makes DE non-trivial money. Anyone spending a penny on the paint system needs to be shamed for mindlessly rewarding leaders who belong in poverty not management.
I'll be the first to call them out if they get greedy but they immediately reverted on the paints after feedback... That is a very good thing. They actively listen to feedback and change things accordingly. I don't blame them having a battle pass being F2P unlike that shithole Destiny 2 which charges full game price + has season pass + has eververse. Bungie is the definition of greedy.
@@drae_gon1369The seasonal model is what ruined Destiny in my eyes. The Final Shape is a solid experience but the episodes are literally just seasons (I bought TFS for $50, not $100. Echoes came with the $50 purchase).
Though I enjoy Final Shape, it's mainly just a time killer until Dawntrail early access starts next Friday (which I'm excited for)

But ya I'm done with D2. I got TFS just to finish out the story and now I'm just so burnt out on it after 5000+ hours. Especially since most of the "new" content is just rehashed or reskinned they resell to you for the 10th time like Bungie always does. I'm waiting on The First Descendant to release July 2nd. The point of paint being used on the characters is to make them look cool like how destiny has one whole pack for shaders that are sold in glimmer also if they take that type of tactic from destiny 2 shader collection being on sale for the money that you earn in-game also want to ask is there any vehicle to use to explore the map area’s
What scares me about this game are all the patents Nexon has to modify drop rates bases on things like where you live, how many or how good your friends are, how well you are playing, etc. I will for sure try it this week but I will not take this serious at all

Well, going off your logic You said it's not yet since there is nothing in the store that gives you an Unfair Advantage... That isn't true at all at launch at least.
Usually, I am okay with paying for convenience stuff as I play games like Guild Wars 2 and other Mmorpgs.
But there is a very thin line between the pay-for-convenience stuff being paid to win and not.
Paying for stuff now that would otherwise be locked to something like a 30 or so-hour grind is a bit pay-to-win at launch at least.
So, in the store, you can buy every single character instantly instead of doing the stupidly long grind for one.
You can buy end-game mats to level up your gun and character right off the bat in 20+ stacks.
You can buy some end-game mats that otherwise take many hours to grind for.
Buying the Battle Pass gives you Bonus Weapon and character Xp...
That is 100% an unfair advantage over others at launch at least.
There will always be people with different opinions on what they perceive as the correct and only way to do things. I did noticed you used a different A.I. voice for this video compared to your other videos in the past First Descendant Beta. Reading through the comments I learned alot and understand what is happening. Either way the video you posted has provided the necessary answers for what I wanted to know so it was very helpful. The video is inaccurate. There are Crystal's you need to buy to increase your mod level, to equip a mod and upgrade a mod. Around ten dollars each time and you get 6 mods per weapon. Three to four weapons and 6 mods for your character. Each one cost ten dollars roughly per crystal. Then to increase the mod to make it stronger cost another crystal.
If figuring out a good monetization scheme for F2P was that easy warframe would ahve already had some sucesssful "clones" years ago

Battle Pass is not good monetisation. It's greedy monetisation that focuses on the FOMO aspect, just like Destiny 2. I would have loved this game and I have played all the betas, but this time I was really disappointed. I'm out. I could have bought it for something like Nexon's other big game, THE FINALS, but grindy PvE MMOs like this don't really work with Battle Passes.
That is why Warframe is the GOAT.

I think the best f2p monetization is Path of Exile. Most of what you can buy is cosmetics. They're expensive af, but when the game is free you feel less bad about paying $30 for a skin. The only "pay to win" thing about it is stash tabs for holding more crap, which is:
1) not technically necessary if you're committed.
2) cheap AND go on sale like every 3 weeks.

Imho, pay for convenience is the same thing as pay to win. You gain an unfair advantage over other players at achieving game goals. It's just less annoying as long as there's no competition in any shape or form between players. As soon as competition is involved and affected, straight to pay to win it goes. So, a game that starts as pay for convenience can easily morph into pay to win later as soon as they introduce some form of PvPvE, for example.
today on the tfd discord server they announced the change to the dye system and battlepass among ither thing which is a great start

I promise you the battle pass will be far from the only things available for purchase. These games start off well meaning, however the majority or players will NOT spend on the game meaning in order to keep the game going the have to milk the people they'll will. Now peoples argument is fortnight. That doesn't count because we are talking about kids playing that game and skins being something younger players care about. This game will not have that, so the only thing left if to sell players advantages to put them above other players to show off.
Yeah, that's why I'm not gonna touch it until after launch when I can get a better idea if the micro transactions are something I'm willing to deal with (I'm guessing it will be a pass)
The pay to win was noticeable in the Beta in the form of their version of Forma's. Nearly impossible to farm but easy to buy. It will take days just to have a chance to get one.

Can you earn the premium currency in game? I am interested but i have come to absolutely hate the premium currency game setup but i do give lenency to those who give options to earn it in game like helldivers or warframe. Also is there a single player mode i know its a squad shooter but i do enjoy lear ing on my own thrn pushing into the player space.
Surely pay to win onky matters in PVP games. The issue I have is casual gamers will struggle to get into this game unless they pay to skip the grind. But the grind is what makes unlocking things more enjoyable.

Wether or not something is pay to win, mainly relies on whether or not the player feels that it is.
If the devs fail at making the players feel it isn't P2W, then that is a design problem that the devs have to solve, not a problem on the players side.
And pve games can definitely be P2W. Even convinience can be, especially if it solves QoL problems in the game, made on purpose to sell the solution, or the game feels unfair in its drop rates without paying.
In that regard I personally feel that both warframe and even gw2 havesome P2W elements.
Neither of them has enough to ruin the game for me though, and so far neither does descendant... except no coloring of default skins. Thats a fucking crime.
They should implement the warframe business model....it is an EXAMPLE of how free to play games should be...the feedback was mostly negative...so I think we are going to see changes...!

It comes to company culture and having muliple pillars of monetization isnt that common, especially trading all mods for premium currency. Did you know mod trading wasnt even a launch feature and only happened in update 8 (mods 2.0 and more)

From the first open beta that i played they just took the same formula of warframe then adapted it. But if you’re not bothering with pvp you can most likely skip the battle pass as long as it’s not locking store and ect behind it. I want them to not go scummy because DE need some competition to step up as a 2000h player started back in a year after if drop in PS it needs content for its longer term players and stop handing everything out to newer comers like it currently is like Steel path circuit should only be allowed for people who completed the steel path star chart because those weapons are very game changing
Nexon will show their true colors in the end. They always do. If the Fair Trade Commission in Korea barely slapped them on the hand for their unacceptable behavior in maplestory with an 8 mil dollar (what a joke) fine, then they'll happily continue their anti-consumer practices in other online games. If you support this publisher, then you're part of the problem in the games industry. Your choice.

Same here, I played both betas and this last technical test. The first beta was awful. The second had me hooked, I could not out it down. I filled out paragraphs worth of feedback for the survey because they felt soooo close to being excellent. Then this technical test happened and completely killed my enthusiasm for the game. It just felt worse in multiple ways, I couldn't believe it

Friend was getting an "out of video memory" error when it was compiling shaders. Do you have an intel CPU? The 13th generation has problems when compiling shaders on the newest Unreal Engine. If that's the case, you'll have to look it up because you won't have problems with just this game, you'll have problems with any game made in the new Unreal engine if it compiles shaders.

Buy anything that’s another thing they copied from or frame right there’s no payroll items in here. There are some items that are way more difficult to acquire than others but there’s nothing in the game that you have to buy everything in the cash shop is just the convenience you don’t have to buy any of it Frame, you don’t have to buy any of it so if the cash app bothers you, Maxon bothers you it’s a free game play it if you start seeing friends since that Trump race are nonexistent for necessary items and start getting suspicious. You’re gonna always walk away there’s no reason you have to keep playing. You can just walk away when it gets that way, go back to frame the final camper. I mean, if you haven’t completely worn out all the contents in that game go back and play it pick up some other shooters that you haven’t actually played. I was having a blast even though I suck I did not realize how sweaty people got in those like games it’s sweaty as fuck and I suck and I am lucky if I can get 10 or 15 kills and you know Fourth or fifth person on the list but I’m still having fun and I was playing the shit out of it. I like every channel and and what not is the free season but this game came out I’ve been dedicated to playing this and if this game starts getting boring, I’ll go back. I got no phone psychological trick reserve for week led sample. Battle pass is not free item in the battle pass that I want now and that’s the only way to get it right it may be available later in the game, but if I buy it for racing out if I don’t get it if I haven’t been playing in months and I miss out that shit not a big deal. I like fallout 76 but I haven’t played it once since this new patch came out with the new area on the map and all the new weapon I just don’t give a shit, if and when I play and I get some of those weapons great if I don’t, I don’t care cause there’s nothing in the game that challenge is free. I can do every kind of the game already kind of boring I logged in and I see something in the past that I miss, it’ll be around again at some point if I ever actually login again

Not the NPC, but each other. Like in D1 if you didnt have Ghorn you'd be throwing in DPS for bosses. The power creep could gate keep other players who are more shy on pulling the trigger on spending money in the game vs whales or people who are skipping the grind and just getting stronger to play without the grind

If the person didn’t grind for it.. what does it matter to you When it’s PvE? And if you’re talking about division their PvP restricts a lot of skills to make the battlefield even. @@Mkehollow my bad, not Division. In Destiny 1. You'd be kicked from raid groups with out having specific gear equip or the right sub classes. Celestial for hunters on gunslinger for high DPS, Ghorn is an exotic rocket luncher that would melt enemies. If they were to introduce a weapon like that as a premium pack and not at all grind-able, that would put free to play players in a hard spot for the voids like hanged man were DPS is needed to make into the next phase of the fight

When I played beta it was more of a freedom to choose how you build your character, but when it came to gear and weapons we had to actually go out and grind for something. Some characters were locked but had a choice to buy or grind for it, like it give a certain achievement that you will do in order to unlock it
@@Mkehollow yes, it was alittle confusing on how to get some of the descendent pieces but it was satisfying and not too grindy. I've been following dev notes and seen that they've changed certain things in the open world and the UI for modules and weapons. Paint used to be buy able through currency but now its a rng slot machine. As long as loot and weapons are not locked behind a pay wall the game will be incredible, i dont mind harder content to get better gear and cosmetics.

I like my looter shooters flashy. I'm afraid this game doesn't look flashy enough for me to spent any $$$ on it.
People are freaking about Microtransactions like a bloody witch hunt on this game. It's as if people are just expecting skins like fortnite. We'll you're paying for faster progression. You can't even buy the ultimate guns parts, just the heroes of the game in which costs less in terms of ultimate versions to that of prime bundle in warframe.
Then we have a similar game Destiny. Uh, Destiny came out twice as full priced AAA Game. With multiple DLC. Now it's free to play, with 3 EXPANSION REMOVED $40 or more each, and still available to buy, to buy not to play. Then season passes, dungeons that are now separate from seasonal passes and requires you to buy a key each time, all this said, you need to pay real money for it.
In comparison, descendant started out free to play, with nothing truly locked behind Pay wall, extreme grind however not as terrible as Destiny or Warframe. Example: warframe, to get a part for a warframe, Harrow, it's a 0.0004% drop rate, on the third objective of a mission which is the hardest/longest to get to. Ended up paying for the warframe instead of grinding. This, this is possible in the game.

I'd love to be hopeful, but the Triple-A industry drained any good will I'm willing to grant them, even CDPR failed with Cyberpunk's launch, I don't trust any of them any more, with very few exceptions, like FromSoft, Grinding Gear Games or the Monster Hunter team.
And I certainly don't trust Nexon nor a dev team that already had history of bad monetization.
Even indie games, which I love, can get greedy, it's rare since their success relays on good will and word of mouth.
DE had the benefit of being independent, at least until recently, so they fell into the same category of relaying on the good will of the community.
I still have some trust in DE, since Tencent owns Grinding Gear Games and they are still doing a great job, so hopefully Tencent will leave DE to fo their thing

dont forget the weapon in the battle pass is in the free pass. you just have to complete the levels of the battle pass to unlock it. which is normal. just like destiny does. it could also become available for free the season after bp, we just dont know yet. waiting to see.
I might be only early access and later on expensive store purchase just like overwatch 2 introduced the mythic shop with all bp seasonal tier 80 skins to buy ....

600 ducets bought battle pass and premium was more. pretty generic with these games battle pass is 20$ for premium. i have a feeling it will be 10 usd=1000 ducets. but hopefully we will see. (just as an assumption to kinda guage prices for now. well see what happens when game releases. that would put descendents at 10-20$ and ultimate descendents (prime warframes) at 50ish a pop? i think it was? i cant remember how much the ultimates costed thought was 5k.

So, the battlepass system is the same as Fortnite's system. The only difference is that Fortnite is purely cosmestic, while TFD is gonna have weapons.
The color system is pure BS. I got nothing against crafting new colors, but the colors being locked to a single descendant once it's equipped is ridiculous.
Fortnite is one of those Battle Passes that I give an absolute pass(get it?) to. Same with Dead by Daylight's. If you buy the Battle Pass and complete it, it gives enough currency to buy the next one as long as you've finished it. That means people that don't want to spend money but have a lot of free time can grind stuff like it out once and then have enough premium currency to buy the next one, plus some extra currency.

The only things I worry about is if I have to pay for things to progress, or progress quickly. As in have to pay to bypass days of grinding.
The other is items and weapons that you can only get by paying for them, and give those who do or can pay an advantage over other players. I don't mind so much on if I have to play the game to get the same things others may pay to have more quickly, so long as that option is available to play to get them.

Everyone tends to forget how monotized call of duty and other AAA games are, and they are NOT f2p games. Like, you spend $50+ on the game and still get slammed everytime you login to buy this, buy that.

I enjoyed First Descendant, very far from pay to win.

Played to many Nexon games and know that most of their mmos dont make it past 5 good years everything after that is just crap. I'll just wait till the game come out and see some reviews and streams
I was 100% excited for this game but after this technical test I'm...80%. The game itself is still cool, but the monetization reminded me who's publishing this. That said I do agree it's not as egregious as other F2Ps or even B2Ps. And I'm an adult, I can through a few bucks into something I enjoy. But I do worry just how slippery this slope is gonna get.
I also wish they didn't mess with the color system. It initially was very Warframe-like which I was really happy with. Now it's as you stated: RNG, once per use, and objectively worse. I really hope they took in feedback like they said they did and revert those changes, or at least alleviate the randomness. Yeah it's cosmetic, but just because it's not pay2win doesn't mean it can't be egregious and anti-player.
