Mat, i highly doubt that was the Olifants river you crossed. The Olifants river runs alongside the N7 starting at Citrusdal and then run past Clanwilliam,Klawer,Vredendal and Lutzvillle. That was likely the Doorn river or the Biedouw river.
Wow I thought u like 35/6. Happy belated I should join u guys sometime. Doing the Lesotho route this winter please share some nice places from jhb to Lesotho highlands. And links.

Nice one Matt...I want to try and follow this route you took. I am also a big fan of wild camping and don't see the point of going to traditional campsites with amenities
I am so glad I came across your channel. I am binge watching your travels. You guys have a similar camping and travel style to us. In this episode, you should have skipped Clanwilliam and rather followed the track via Eselbank directly to Wuppertal which is near Beidouw Valley - this would have been all gravel and no tar. Anyway, looking forward to binging the rest of your videos. Thanks for a good production.
Just watched this video. Great stuff Matt. Way better than the 3 guys who always do everything together . You and Nicole, now that’s stuff the wife likes as well. Keep it up
Awesome video - thanks Matt! And Happy Birthday mate :) Im moving to Zambia Nov '22, if ever you and Nicole come up that way and want to do some bush adventures, let me know.
Hi Matt what an amazing place to be there at Tankwa Karoo. I follow you on youtube just a short time but I love your videos so much and I believe that South Africa is one of the most beautiful and exciting countries in the world. I‘ll wish you both all the best from Bavaria which lies in the south of Germany and hopefully I‘m able to visit ZA asap and travelling the same route as you, Roland
Hi Matt, awesome footage you and Nicole is sharing with us! Yes, I know the river that you have crossed in the Biedouw valley is the Doornriver or some call it the Doringriver. And the pan that you’ve stopped to have something to eat on your way out from the Doornriver, is on my farm, Poortjies. Please call in for coffee next time Matt & Nicole. Save journey!

Thanks for the correction!
I'm from Botswana and we have Olifants Drift. Is it related to the river?
Another stunning video Matt! You should work for the SA Tourism Agency!
