Ive been following kevin smith for almost 20 yrs but haven't liked his films in a while. So, i'm just curious, have you liked his filmography over the past 15 - 20 yrs or was the 430 movie an exception?
@@anthonyfargo420 I think the last movie I really liked from him was Red State because it was so different. I liked Clerks 3 because of the heart of it even though it wasn’t the greatest. But unfortunately no. Clerks to me will always be his best. I really loved this movie because, I’ve met Kevin and he’s such a sweet, caring guy, and this movie matches his personality perfectly. It’s also a love letter to 1980s theaters, and kids who went to these theaters back then. He actually bought his hometown theater that he used to watch movies as a kid at, and filmed that movie there. It’s not a perfect movie, but I loved it. Thank you for your comment! And thanks for watching! It means a lot.
@@Scene1Take1Roll1MovieRevie-m9f I'm from south jersey myself and was privileged enough to ask him 2 questions at a q and a once like 15sh yrs ago. I love him but haven't loved a movie by him since clerks 2. Granted I never watched red state and have heard good things. I also didn't like clerks 3. I grew up with clerks, mallrats, chasing amy and dogma, though.
@@anthonyfargo420 I agree with you, and you and I grew up with those same films. I really want to come to Jersey to see the comic book store, and the actual Smodcast theater. That's cool that you got to ask him questions. What did you ask? I love when he talks about his Superman Lives story! If you meet him one on one, he gives everyone this huge hug the first time you meet him, and it's so genuine. Such a nice guy.
I'd consider "Longlegs" my favourite for 2024. Nicolas Cage even more deranged than normally, great atmosphere and cinematography. I'm waiting for "Monkey".

@@gapjunction11 Great movie! And really creepy performance from cage! You’re absolutely right!
Just watched conclave last night. Loved the movie until the very end. Came out of left field and took me out of the movie.
@@Baylorfrk Right! The end was not what I was expecting at all! It took a complete turn.
