I see alot of people saying Tony should retire, it's up to him to decide when he's ready to hang it up. He'll always be a favorite of mine, no matter win or lose.
I hope Tony regroups big time, of course. This definitely felt like among the four straight losses, the most winnable fight stylistically for him, in my opinion.
8:24 is the best part. jesus christ, Tony roasted both Mike and Dana at the same time and both of them had nothing to do but to laugh their arse off, even Dana couldn't resist it.
That's why arrogant egomaniacs shouldn't make their own fight style. His reach and his chin made people think he was great but if you take that away what does he have? Imanari roll? Get out of here, it's a great trick but you can't pull that shit out every fight with the comp being as it is
@@DMV831 like he didnt fight at 170 before in the past? Lol. And I'm not saying move up to pursue a title, that's obviously not going to happen at this point. Are the top 10-15 lightweights not killers? 155 is still arguably the deepest division and I dont see tony being able to really beat anyone in the rankings at this point . Why not go up to 170 where he's had prior success? Obviously the time line doesn't line up but I think the best fight for Tony would honestly be Nate Diaz. Lucrative and winnable.
@@DMV831 Tony used to be a mix 155-170 fighter like Topuria who's fighting at 145/155. the reason Tony's departure from 155 was delayed because he never got that undisputed belt that Conor held.
I think Tony as an athlete and fighter is far from done (yeah far because skillwise hes still very good or maybe Elite again). His Fight against Michael Chandler was very good.
Yeah, while Justin beat him badly he’s kinda just got laid on top of again Oliver and beniel, he looked really good against chandler and even dropped him but just got caught, he can make a comeback if he really tries imo.
Honestly I haven’t rewatched the fight since the first time I saw it and it was significantly less one sided on the feet than I remember, seems like Tony isn’t as strong and physically imposing as the new wave of elite LW’s so he gets controlled easily on the ground
This fight showed me that Beneil likes to play it safe when faced with a striker, all that talk of “ima knock him out” only to play it safe. I can’t wait for Makhachev to make him tap and show him how to really grapple

*Ferguson should NOT retire. That kick was perfect and would have KO’d a young Ferguson.* Ferguson has always been overhyped, he’s just fought easier stylistic matchups. Hell, prime Tony got dropped by Pettis etc and was losing round 2 to Cowboy after already winning round 1. He got out wrestled by Dariush and Out struck by Gaethje. *Ferguson should fight Hooker* now that would be a good fight. Stylistically, there’s better fights at 170lbs, and if he packed on some mass he would be great for that division.
After showing nothing against Dariush, Oliveira and others when it comes to wrestling, I can't see how some clowns think he would have had a chance against Khabib.
Beneil needs to fight bro how has it already been s year sice his last fight. IMO Islam should fight Charles next and Beneil should fight someone else in the meantime. You can't just sit out an entire year while islam has won 2 fights in the last 6 months in incredibly dominant fashion, after beneil already pulled out once on him.
he got injured badly, he's not even hinting a comeback so far. he will comeback but not anytime soon. people keep saying he's ducking top tier challenges but I absolutely doubting that.

Great vids bro. I love watching fight highlights. You should add more of them
Beneil kinda reminds me of a lightweight gegard moussasi skill set wise, different styles but both so well rounded everywhere
Agree i think mousasi striking is fire and I think levels ahead of beneils but both well rounded guys
actually they have similar fighting styles except for the striking because we know how good Moussasi's striking especially today.
