    Oh wow. This is the first time I’ve truly appreciated this sonata. I can finally say I’ve “understood” it! Sokolov’s playing made me understand this sonata that I’ve hated and loathed for years! I studied this sonata yeaaaaars ago and I truly hated it and now it’s finally changed! ❤️

      I discovered G.SOHOLOV last sunday with P.CASSARD a French talentuous pianist on French Music Radio. He explained SOKOLOV's brillant technique. Also the absolute divine & delicate Handtechnique ....each Note is played for itself as You said ‼️ 💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎
      So I share your feeling ...I 'm myself in levitation 😶😔
      f R a N c I n E in Paris 🎹 ....The Maestro will play in Champs Elysées next May, 31st, 23 ...shall I book for You ❓❓

    Sokolov is playing notes that are not written here. Is this his doing, or is the text incorrect?

    • @lunar.6091
      @lunar.6091 2 года назад +9

      The text is correct. Sokolov is just adding his own ornamentation

      @@lunar.6091 To Mozart? Is anyone allowed to do this???
      In my opinion what Sokolov adds actually DETRACTS from the pathos of Mozart's writing.

      @@jamesnickoloff6692 This was actually demanded of the performer historically speaking. Mozart himself would improvise ornaments when playing his own pieces. Regardless I think the ornamentation is appropriate and enhances the piece.

      @@jamesnickoloff6692 Maybe that is the point. There are alot of Mozart "haters" out there who will detract from his genuine genius any way they can. ruclips.net/video/Ai0JGadwwx0/видео.html
