so Tsukuyomi told Aqua before that Ai could never come back due to her dying satisfied after realizing she really did love her kids. Aqua however died in a horrid split minded manner where Goro was finally satisfied and passed on but Aqua was left twisted, tormented and damned to an early painful demise. Akane is according to the vague rules of occultism lined out by the show so far onto something in that Aqua may well be able to return though in what manner is questionable as his spirit is probably lingering watching over the three of Akane, Kana and Ruby.
There’s no Aqua without Goro, as explicitly stated by Tsukuyomi. This reassured him that he had protected Ruby and died before her this time. In the end, when he hears 'Oshi ni Negai wo,' it makes him smile and pass away peacefully. That song was important to both him and Ruby/Sarina, if you remember Spica.

should have just had aqua end up in coma, everything else stays same until few years later at ruby dome concert it is playing on tv in hospital room (maybe akane is there and out it on for him) and hearing her perform helps aqua to finally wake up. would also mena started in hosptail room with ai songs helping sarina and ends with ruby songs helping aqua in hospital room Epilogue after that could be something like aqua goes college and becomes a doctor, no matter how bust he always goes to support ruby, maybe ends up with one of the girls
even tho coma is a pretty common cliche but it would have been a better continue for a story cuz there were a lot of turns in manga that hasn't been completed due to his death. it seems like akasaka just ran out of ideas or just got tired from his manga so he just buried it alive (cuz there is a lot of space for future chapters in any case). there's also a possibility for a different ending in the anime so we all can only hope for it now
They probably killed him off to make the shippers shut up. If he was in a coma and it ended there, people would most definitely be fighting on who gets to be with him.

I find it funny how Kana and Akane were ironically paralleling Aqua and Ruby: Kana’s parallel with Ruby, despite her grief towards Aqua’s death was able to move on with her life. And Akane’s parallel with Aqua that she’s still not over Aqua’s death and is taking drastic measures to bring him back.
Like the first time Ai gave birth to Aqua and Ruby, but it doesn't actually explain how to transfer the memories of a dead person to another body, but if I'm not mistaken Tsukuyomi when she spoke to Aqua the first few times about this topic, she said that Ai could no longer reincarnate forever. In fact I also hoped that Ai could return but maybe her sentences turned out to be true in the end. If there is a chance to make Aqua return I would be happy, but in the end even if she returned obviously she would no longer be Aqua Hoshino but another person who took her memories, now Aqua is no longer part of this world like Ai herself😢.
I feel like that'd only complicate things and "enslaves" another innocent child. Aqua's psyche and physicality is of a normal human baby, then teenager. While it’s great to get more content to try and fix the ending, I don’t think that it rlly did too much besides the dialogue abt the possible revival of the dead (mainly Aqua) I mean the continuation could be possible but I wouldn’t say it’d be likely considering Aka doesn’t like his story. @@sukajibana Tbh, Akane is definitely crazy but she has good intentions for the least. I feel like both Kana and Akane are somewhat polar opposite of each other. Kana is sane, but has a sharp tongue. Akane is crazy, but she’s also a genius and kindhearted. You can also tell from Akane’s face it gives off that feeling that she’s crazy, but at the same time she has a reason why she did what she did and tends to be justified. For example, she is a stalker towards Aqua, but only because she intend to protect him. Same with Ruby, given Akane’s timing to save her from Hikaru. Both have their pros and cons.
This novel is similar to what we had with Love is War, where the novels end up being honestly better material than the Mangas cause of the focus on the characters, which is Aka's biggest strength! I do think we will get a follow-up for this cause it seems Aka is pushing the unaddressed supernatural elements here and its the best way to still keep engagement in the fandom going while the anime continues! What we got here, humanizes Akane a lot for me. Her struggling to move past her grief is incredibly endearing, she's succeeding in life in every metric, but that doesn't always equal fulfillment. She's the only one that knows the full reality about Aqua's murder-suicide and dated him for a year, having to maintain a lie so everyone can live in peace so Aqua's death isn't in vain. Being visited by Crowli for awhile now is interesting, cause that implies she's trying to involve Akane for something, whether its to allow his soul to be able to move on or bring him back, its still pretty exciting to think about! Kana's background material was great to finally get a better peek into the window at how truly affected she was from her childhood! Its important context to get for her character and from the small translated excerpts ive been able to read, theres a lot of great dialogue and writing involved
Novel did Akanes character justice and gave her way more characterization. FYI Akane NEVER said she’ll be using newborns, she only gave us an example that tsukuyomis family had used these techniques. Akane also said “there should be a way” so yea anyone trying to slander her or trying to use it against her just hate her atp 😭

The memories of a newborn seems oddly specific. Perhaps it's maybe a hit that Aqua and Ruby had their past memories inserted into the children of Ai. After all Goro wasn't there, so it could have been a distraction and someone else, possibly in connection to Ai had implanted those memories. It's hard to say, but it seems like a likely guess.
I'm iffy on this matter. I know the supernatural was already featured in this story but it wasn't nearly as much. I mean if Aqua is somehow brought back to life, then what was stopping them from doing the same with Ai? Is Aqua going to be reincarnated? I suppose that would be more digestible. But why Kana and Akane? If anything it should be Ruby that should be the one that's the one at the forefront as that's not only her brother, but the person she cares the most for.
Yeah it is pretty disappointing in both the bonus chapter and novel, Ruby didn’t get much attention considering her importance. Granted, this novel was meant to focus on Kana and Akane, but hopefully they eventually make one dedicated to Ruby one day.

AKANE YOU MAD WOMAN! Now she is about to find out about reincarnation, and imo I feel she’s also close to finding out Aqua had always been reincarnated, she didnt get the whole detail but looks like she’s about to figure out. Also, seems like its somewhat confirmed Aqua probably died a regretful death since Akane is lead to believe his soul is still lingering in the world, since Ai isnt around which I assumed she moved on.
By the way, the reason why I keep saying Oshi no ko has one of the worst endings of all time is because this is the first time I’ve seen on Author not caring about his series with MHA and JJK you can at least see the authors caring about the work. They actually try to make a decent ending and they’re working on our weekly shonen manga, which is very damaging to the help and you can see that the author did not want to end the series that way they were forced to end it like that but wait aka you see no love and passion, you can clearly see that aka did not care about Oshi no ko anymore he just feels like he just gave up and decided to just end it like that because he did not want to work on it anymore. You see no love and passion in the ending he didn’t even try hard to give a satisfying ending, and that is evident in the final chapter where the art quality dropped like 90%. You can clearly see he does not care about his series anymore and he just wanted to be done with it that is why I considered Oshi no ko to be one of the worst endings of all time

Futari no Etude novel as discussed in this video is Kana and Akane centered story likely before Mem-cho's "report" in Oshi no Ko ch. 166.5. The first part of the video is an interview of them both, second part is about Akane and Tsukuyomi, third part is about Kana. Let's discuss only about Kana and Akane, starting with Kana. In this story, Kana visits Aqua's grave (compare Akane in ch. 164 who visits the sea) and talks about her ambition to be a great movie star, so great that "the Prime Minister is going to visit her funeral". She starts to fulfill her ambition in ch. 166.5, where she stars in a Hollywood blockbuster movie. Her sadness and grief fueled her motivation and ambition. Next, Akane. In the second part of the video, she met Tsukuyomi, who warned her that "the road ahead may lead to hell". Maybe Tsukuyomi is aware of Akane's unhealthy obsession to occultism and reviving the dead Aqua. Akane's story here and its continuation in ch. 166.5 is inconclusive. Akane dies, with a smile on her face, satisfied of helping thousands of her patients. She does never marry anyone, because the only man in her live is the deceased Aqua, her saviour. Tsukuyomi's crows flies around her, goes to the funeral home , flies circles above the building, then flies as high and as far as possible. As if they are escorting and guiding Akane's soul for her happiest reunion with Aqua's soul, after being separated for tens of long years. As the crows return, Tsukuyomi feels her teardrops rolling down her cheeks.

It's great that the story continues like this but I have a couple problems with it. 1. Akane is the main character (we litereally have another main character in Ruby and we decide to make Akane the mc???) 2. Even if Akane manages to bring Aqua back (we know aka aint gon do that), aqua will be completely different since he'll only have memories and his personality might even do a 180. I just hope this continues because if aka just leaves it at this, it's just too cruel...

There was a special edition that sold 66 thousand copies, but hey, everyone hated it. I'm curious for the second week, I'm sure it will easily exceed 200 thousand copies. Not to mention the fingerprints, this makes me wonder if it was really hated or the people who didn't like it shout a lot but it doesn't reflect the general taste For the record, I thought the ending was bittersweet, I didn't hate it, but it wasn't my dream ending even though I was on team Akane lol since Ruby wouldn't win but all this just to see that the final volume sells very well look at chapter 166 came out on November 14th, a month before the release

I was so happy to see Kana finally return to her acting career. So why did Aka have to make that related to Aqua as well? 😭 He is dead! Making Kana still want to become his star even when he is already dead is simply not doing justice to her character. AGAIN. Let her mourn, let her still not accept Aqua's death, but don't let Aqua be the reason she continues with her career. We already have Ruby for that! Was it really too much to ask that Kana (after spending the whole story being an idol for Aqua) could go back to being an actress simply because SHE wanted to do it? Because it's her passion? Because she is incredibly talented? Because she has always loved it? There was literally no reason to include in the novel that she does it because she still wants to become Aqua's only star. Ngl as interesting as the possible reincarnation part is I'm still left wondering is this healthy at all for Akane? it's clear everyone is dealing with their grief in their own way but becoming a necromancer and dedicating so much time to bring someone back from the dead to the point of neglecting herself feels like a very unhealthy method of grief and inability to move on it's clear she's just driving herself to insanity over a boy that no longer exists, I'm not a hater jsyk just feel bad for all of them,Ruby is doing something similar she's lying to herself constantly that she's fine just for the sake of keeping up the image of a perfect happy idol even if it's tearing her up from the inside,it feels like Aqua death as pointless as it felt also ended up causing more pain to others then it was beneficial to his plan tbh, similarly with Kana though to a less extreme extent.
Tho author said he was bored of this manga around the movie arc this novel, bitter fans, and the fact that its the best selling authors manga means that there are some chance hes thinking about extending it or something idk

There could be low chances, but given that with all this about this ending, the Oshi no Ko franchise is on the right track with its popularity and the reception of the third season, I still hold out hope that they can direct it to a better ending in case the author truly understands the damage he caused to the manga with his controversial ending. The story of Oshi no ko, despite its flaws in part 2 (Start of season 3), has some good elements up to chapter 157, adding extra content and handling the characters well, and fixing some extra scenes. It could save the legacy of the anime in my opinion, if they direct it to an ending with more sense compared to the disaster of the manga.
ahh it's not the entertainment industry anymore, which shifts the genre... I miss the days when Aqua would solve problems related to the dark side of the entertainment industry which made me stay with this series. It was still grounded back then, the story felt solid. I wish it stayed on that course after the play. Tho, if there's a sequel, it could arguably be brought back to those kind of plot points...since Ai's arc is done, it would feel shallow though, and would make the hook meaningless. From oshi no ko to Fullmetal Alchemist in an instant. If Oshi continued in this direction they could practically open a second part of Oshi that completely changes the story, a bit like what happened in Chiansawman. It's a bit strange, but the supernatural has always existed in Oshi and so it wouldn't surprise me if Akane actually managed to make Acqua return somehow.

It would make more sense if the supernatural tentative will faill or suceed just for a brief moment to bring closure.... A story center with this 2 could be way more interesting then just morning their ex...all the banter and rivals in competition. Maybe will get an uneeded answer for why the supernatural things happen in the manga.
Honestly, this is the best ending or the most stable ending that could be obtained, with the fact that Aka literally turned Aqua into a Kamikaze to end up in a pathetic death, the story has already lost its meaning and it is impossible to get a happy ending for the characters. The endings of Kana, Akane and also including Ruby, I accept them in the sense that it is the way to show the strength of their feelings for Aqua and the wish that he was alive, but literally it is as if Aka told us directly that with Aqua dead there will no longer be a happy ending for the heroines and for most of the secondary characters related to Aqua, since the catalyst of this disaster is his own death.
The end of this story is not ended... Just like Jujutsu Kaisens' one I think maybe Akasaka actually opened a new door to fan-fictions, but that is really un-done... I don't know what to think about this bloody confusing ending

I have 2 options for the ending 1 Some years later Ruby receives a fan letter, a childish drawing of an event from her past.. she understands that Aqua has reincarnated again and is once again a child of a few years old 2 Aqua while drowning is saved by a female figure who seems to be Ai.. the scene moves to the hospital, the doctors say that he slept for several days and that night is New Year's Eve, he was saved by a miracle because someone used the phone that was broadcasting the concert, found on the cliff to call for help, who found him on the shore.. a mysterious nurse passes by Ruby and Miyako and reassures them. The nurse goes up to the roof and reaches Tsukuyomi (the two know each other), who asks her why she took the appearance of Ai, she is a deity of death who has decided to give Aqua another chance for his sacrifice, but she has taken something in exchange: the memories of Goro and Sarina and those of Miyako on the talking babies.. so that they do not use the previous life in the future. Aqua recovers and attends Ruby's concert at the stadium in a wheelchair, as a final sequence a few years later, the two brothers talk to each other on the phone, Aqua is about to attend university and Ruby leaves the house to go to work, saying goodbye to her mother's photo and saying that today too she will have to lie

Knowing Aka, if he did do another manga I’d totally read it. Oshi No Ko is one of those series that I really got sucked into, and I really do like his works in general. If Aka decided to make a spin off I trust that it wouldn’t be half-assed fan service. However, I think that it is just meant to be open ended for the readers. Let the dead rest, move on.

so Tsukuyomi told Aqua before that Ai could never come back due to her dying satisfied after realizing she really did love her kids. Aqua however died in a horrid split minded manner where Goro was finally satisfied and passed on but Aqua was left twisted, tormented and damned to an early painful demise. Akane is according to the vague rules of occultism lined out by the show so far onto something in that Aqua may well be able to return though in what manner is questionable as his spirit is probably lingering watching over the three of Akane, Kana and Ruby.
There’s no Aqua without Goro, as explicitly stated by Tsukuyomi. This reassured him that he had protected Ruby and died before her this time. In the end, when he hears 'Oshi ni Negai wo,' it makes him smile and pass away peacefully. That song was important to both him and Ruby/Sarina, if you remember Spica.

even tho coma is a pretty common cliche but it would have been a better continue for a story cuz there were a lot of turns in manga that hasn't been completed due to his death. it seems like akasaka just ran out of ideas or just got tired from his manga so he just buried it alive (cuz there is a lot of space for future chapters in any case). there's also a possibility for a different ending in the anime so we all can only hope for it now

I would actually say it is sort of the other end, since Ruby took her time to get over Goro, but Goro just took it as so, even if he cherished stuff.
Like the first time Ai gave birth to Aqua and Ruby, but it doesn't actually explain how to transfer the memories of a dead person to another body, but if I'm not mistaken Tsukuyomi when she spoke to Aqua the first few times about this topic, she said that Ai could no longer reincarnate forever. In fact I also hoped that Ai could return but maybe her sentences turned out to be true in the end. If there is a chance to make Aqua return I would be happy, but in the end even if she returned obviously she would no longer be Aqua Hoshino but another person who took her memories, now Aqua is no longer part of this world like Ai herself😢.

While it’s great to get more content to try and fix the ending, I don’t think that it rlly did too much besides the dialogue abt the possible revival of the dead (mainly Aqua) I mean the continuation could be possible but I wouldn’t say it’d be likely considering Aka doesn’t like his story. The novel by Hajime and authorized by Aka is clear to me:
- Kana will be the eternal widow, and will always be in love with Aqua, she became a famous Hollywood actress and will live her life so that Aqua as a star will continue to look at her, she kept the promise she made to her until the end.
- Akane, she went crazy, and now she wants to be a witch and use newborn babies to bring her ex-bf back from the dead with necromantic magic. She is crazy and always was, and Hajime knew it and Aka believes it too, that's why I authorized this epilogue to be written like this.
In conclusion, Kana continues her life even if it is difficult to continue loving Aqua. Akane became a crazy neet and an evil necromancer witch, she will go to the asylum in a few years. END.

Akane is crazy, but she’s also a genius and kindhearted.
You can also tell from Akane’s face it gives off that feeling that she’s crazy, but at the same time she has a reason why she did what she did and tends to be justified.
For example, she is a stalker towards Aqua, but only because she intend to protect him. Same with Ruby, given Akane’s timing to save her from Hikaru.
Both have their pros and cons.

This novel is similar to what we had with Love is War, where the novels end up being honestly better material than the Mangas cause of the focus on the characters, which is Aka's biggest strength! I do think we will get a follow-up for this cause it seems Aka is pushing the unaddressed supernatural elements here and its the best way to still keep engagement in the fandom going while the anime continues!
What we got here, humanizes Akane a lot for me. Her struggling to move past her grief is incredibly endearing, she's succeeding in life in every metric, but that doesn't always equal fulfillment. She's the only one that knows the full reality about Aqua's murder-suicide and dated him for a year, having to maintain a lie so everyone can live in peace so Aqua's death isn't in vain. Being visited by Crowli for awhile now is interesting, cause that implies she's trying to involve Akane for something, whether its to allow his soul to be able to move on or bring him back, its still pretty exciting to think about!
Kana's background material was great to finally get a better peek into the window at how truly affected she was from her childhood! Its important context to get for her character and from the small translated excerpts ive been able to read, theres a lot of great dialogue and writing involved
Novel did Akanes character justice and gave her way more characterization. FYI Akane NEVER said she’ll be using newborns, she only gave us an example that tsukuyomis family had used these techniques. Akane also said “there should be a way” so yea anyone trying to slander her or trying to use it against her just hate her atp 😭

The memories of a newborn seems oddly specific. Perhaps it's maybe a hit that Aqua and Ruby had their past memories inserted into the children of Ai. After all Goro wasn't there, so it could have been a distraction and someone else, possibly in connection to Ai had implanted those memories. It's hard to say, but it seems like a likely guess.
Reviving Aqua would just be weird. Leave him Dead and end the story here.
I'm iffy on this matter. I know the supernatural was already featured in this story but it wasn't nearly as much. I mean if Aqua is somehow brought back to life, then what was stopping them from doing the same with Ai? Is Aqua going to be reincarnated? I suppose that would be more digestible. But why Kana and Akane? If anything it should be Ruby that should be the one that's the one at the forefront as that's not only her brother, but the person she cares the most for.
Yeah it is pretty disappointing in both the bonus chapter and novel, Ruby didn’t get much attention considering her importance. Granted, this novel was meant to focus on Kana and Akane, but hopefully they eventually make one dedicated to Ruby one day.

Now she is about to find out about reincarnation, and imo I feel she’s also close to finding out Aqua had always been reincarnated, she didnt get the whole detail but looks like she’s about to figure out.
Also, seems like its somewhat confirmed Aqua probably died a regretful death since Akane is lead to believe his soul is still lingering in the world, since Ai isnt around which I assumed she moved on.
By the way, the reason why I keep saying Oshi no ko has one of the worst endings of all time is because this is the first time I’ve seen on Author not caring about his series with MHA and JJK you can at least see the authors caring about the work. They actually try to make a decent ending and they’re working on our weekly shonen manga, which is very damaging to the help and you can see that the author did not want to end the series that way they were forced to end it like that but wait aka you see no love and passion, you can clearly see that aka did not care about Oshi no ko anymore he just feels like he just gave up and decided to just end it like that because he did not want to work on it anymore. You see no love and passion in the ending he didn’t even try hard to give a satisfying ending, and that is evident in the final chapter where the art quality dropped like 90%. In this story, Kana visits Aqua's grave (compare Akane in ch. 164 who visits the sea) and talks about her ambition to be a great movie star, so great that "the Prime Minister is going to visit her funeral". She starts to fulfill her ambition in ch. 166.5, where she stars in a Hollywood blockbuster movie. Her sadness and grief fueled her motivation and ambition.
Next, Akane. In the second part of the video, she met Tsukuyomi, who warned her that "the road ahead may lead to hell". Maybe Tsukuyomi is aware of Akane's unhealthy obsession to occultism and reviving the dead Aqua. Akane's story here and its continuation in ch. 166.5 is inconclusive. It is annoying and sad since she has become so obsessive and reckless. But it fits her personality, being reckless and determined such as her wish (in ch. 164 amongst all) that she should be the one that murders Aqua's revenge target.
What's next of Akane? A spin off story? Since this is Oshi no Ko ,a reality based story instead of a supernatural adventure story, it seems that Akane is going to fail with her quest , accept Aqua's death, and continue with her life, either as an actress who becomes picky in her movie or TV roles, not accepting unscripted shows such as a prank show in ch. 166. Or she becomes something else.

Her journey takes her in Japan and overseas , meets various mediums, attends their seances, and bought occult objects to communicate with (Aqua's) spirit. It all ended in her dissapointment. She felt deceived and scammed.
She returns home, exhausted, thinking about "soul implant". As she sleeps, she has a nightmare. Reliving her worst days during LoveNow reality show when she was being cyber bullied. It becomes worse, because the cast of the reality show are all evil, they ridicule and bully her online and offline. which caused her to commit suicide and wakes up from sleep. When she sleeps again, she has the same nightmare, all ended with her death by suicide ,being attacked by an instigated mob or other causes. She is unable to sleep and lost her appetite for days, and becomes mentally and physically broken.
Tsukuyomi visits her, said that Akane has experienced hell : mental torture. Akane broke and cries, and acknowledgeing that her obsession of reviving or communicating with the dead Aqua is wrong. Tsukuyomi ordered her to burn all occult objects which is her source of nightmares, that mortals can never differentiate evil and benevolent spirits, to take a good sleep, and whispered a cryptic message : "Study the past, connect it to the present, and be useful in the future". Tsukuyomi , seeing that Akane has become more calm, leaves her alone. Akane, being exhausted, sleeps, and dreams. She sees her past life on a movie screen : as a child self studying psychology in order to understand the rude Kana, her training in Lalalai Theatrical Company, being saved by Aqua and friends during the LoveNow days, becoming Aqua's girlfriend and supporte him during his quest for revenge. The movie screen disappears. Aqua appears. She hugs Aqua, and he thanks her for becoming a decoy that saves Ruby's live. Aqua asks that a part of him , which is being helpful, should be a part of her before he disappears. Then she is surrounded by Ruby, Kana, Mem-cho and friends (and thousands of B-Komachi fans) who cheer and congratulate her for her part in saving Ruby.
Akane wakes up, feeling relieved and invigorated. After a good breakfast , she burns all occult objects she bought, she returns to her childhood home, meets and chat with her parents, find the psychology books she read since childhood. She meets Ruby, Kana, Mem-cho , Miyako and others , and discuss how Aqua help and change their lives. Akane then decides that her journey of self discovery has ended, and remembering her interest in psychology, Tsukuyomi's message and Aqua's help during her terrible LoveNow days, decides that she is going to become a psychologist who is going to console those who are grieving and save lives to those who are thinking about suicide, and be helpful.
So , Akane announces that she is going to university and study Psychology, and appear in very few movies or TV shows she picked carefully. After a few years, she does many psychology researches (most of her research is related to entertainment industry, a world she is familiar with), graduates, given a psychologist license, and start practicing. One of her first clients is Taiki, who (as seen in ch. 166.5) is being troubled, burdened with his parents crimes.
She keeps on practicing, does more researches, write many articles and books , appears in many talkshows ,lectures and workshops, helps in improving mental health , amongst all, in the entertainment industry. She quit being an actress. She is a famous psychologist.
One day, while Akane is reminiscing Aqua on the pedestrian bridge, Tsukuyomi appears, reminding that Aqua saved Akane on that bridge. Akane, who possesed a part of Aqua's helpfulness inside her, is doing the same, saving tens of lives because Tsukuyomi knew that some of her patients were thinking of suicide. Tsukuyomi said that she has done studyingd the past, connecting it to the present, be useful in the future and congratulates her. Tsukuyomi departs. Akane never see her again.
Tens of years passed. Akane dies, with a smile on her face, satisfied of helping thousands of her patients. She does never marry anyone, because the only man in her live is the deceased Aqua, her saviour. Thousands attended her funeral service.
Tsukuyomi , from a distance, watches the funeral home where services is being held. She summarizes Akane's life to her crows, "There was once a gifted and intelligent girl, who wanted to be an actress, who made a mistake and almost died of suicide. A boy saved her. She became his closest confidant, knowing and keeping his darkest secrets, and assisted his quest for protecting his twin sister. The boy died as a hero, sacrificing his life for his twin sister and her. Then, saddened and broken, she took the wrong path, experienced hell, but came back and returned to the right path. Then, she consoled and saved not one, not tens, but thousands. Now, it's time for her to leave this world. The boy is waiting for her".
Tsukuyomi's crows flies around her, goes to the funeral home , flies circles above the building, then flies as high and as far as possible. As if they are escorting and guiding Akane's soul for her happiest reunion with Aqua's soul, after being separated for tens of long years. As the crows return, Tsukuyomi feels her teardrops rolling down her cheeks.

It's great that the story continues like this but I have a couple problems with it.
1. Akane is the main character (we litereally have another main character in Ruby and we decide to make Akane the mc???)
2. Even if Akane manages to bring Aqua back (we know aka aint gon do that), aqua will be completely different since he'll only have memories and his personality might even do a 180.
I just hope this continues because if aka just leaves it at this, it's just too cruel...

but well I got to say Oshi no ko sold 350 thousand copies per volume only physical part since they don't reveal digital sales for a Seinen and a lot but with the ending that everyone complains not everyone has said that it was perfect and not me just I thought it was bittersweet lol but getting back to focus I was thinking the sales of the last Volume are going to the ground and they are going to plummet
From the 18th to the 23rd of December, the first five days opened with 179 thousand copies sold of volume 16 of the manga. There was a special edition that sold 66 thousand copies, but hey, everyone hated it. I'm curious for the second week, I'm sure it will easily exceed 200 thousand copies. Not to mention the fingerprints, this makes me wonder if it was really hated or the people who didn't like it shout a lot but it doesn't reflect the general taste

There could be low chances, but given that with all this about this ending, the Oshi no Ko franchise is on the right track with its popularity and the reception of the third season, I still hold out hope that they can direct it to a better ending in case the author truly understands the damage he caused to the manga with his controversial ending.
The story of Oshi no ko, despite its flaws in part 2 (Start of season 3), has some good elements up to chapter 157, adding extra content and handling the characters well, and fixing some extra scenes. It could save the legacy of the anime in my opinion, if they direct it to an ending with more sense compared to the disaster of the manga.

ahh it's not the entertainment industry anymore, which shifts the genre... I miss the days when Aqua would solve problems related to the dark side of the entertainment industry which made me stay with this series. It was still grounded back then, the story felt solid. I wish it stayed on that course after the play. Tho, if there's a sequel, it could arguably be brought back to those kind of plot points...since Ai's arc is done, it would feel shallow though, and would make the hook meaningless.

That was a rollercoaster
From oshi no ko to Fullmetal Alchemist in an instant. If Oshi continued in this direction they could practically open a second part of Oshi that completely changes the story, a bit like what happened in Chiansawman. It's a bit strange, but the supernatural has always existed in Oshi and so it wouldn't surprise me if Akane actually managed to make Acqua return somehow.
That would be nice if Mengo drew it but Aka has his own new series that comes out in the spring. Still at least one fan made a really good fanmade ending that makes much more sense than the original ending without Aqua having to kill himself.

Honestly, this is the best ending or the most stable ending that could be obtained, with the fact that Aka literally turned Aqua into a Kamikaze to end up in a pathetic death, the story has already lost its meaning and it is impossible to get a happy ending for the characters.
The endings of Kana, Akane and also including Ruby, I accept them in the sense that it is the way to show the strength of their feelings for Aqua and the wish that he was alive, but literally it is as if Aka told us directly that with Aqua dead there will no longer be a happy ending for the heroines and for most of the secondary characters related to Aqua, since the catalyst of this disaster is his own death.

1 Some years later Ruby receives a fan letter, a childish drawing of an event from her past.. she understands that Aqua has reincarnated again and is once again a child of a few years old
2 Aqua while drowning is saved by a female figure who seems to be Ai.. the scene moves to the hospital, the doctors say that he slept for several days and that night is New Year's Eve, he was saved by a miracle because someone used the phone that was broadcasting the concert, found on the cliff to call for help, who found him on the shore.. a mysterious nurse passes by Ruby and Miyako and reassures them. The nurse goes up to the roof and reaches Tsukuyomi (the two know each other), who asks her why she took the appearance of Ai, she is a deity of death who has decided to give Aqua another chance for his sacrifice, but she has taken something in exchange: the memories of Goro and Sarina and those of Miyako on the talking babies.. so that they do not use the previous life in the future. Aqua recovers and attends Ruby's concert at the stadium in a wheelchair, as a final sequence a few years later, the two brothers talk to each other on the phone, Aqua is about to attend university and Ruby leaves the house to go to work, saying goodbye to her mother's photo and saying that today too she will have to lie

Knowing Aka, if he did do another manga I’d totally read it. Oshi No Ko is one of those series that I really got sucked into, and I really do like his works in general. If Aka decided to make a spin off I trust that it wouldn’t be half-assed fan service. However, I think that it is just meant to be open ended for the readers.
