As a kid, I had a friend who couldn't watch (nor read, for that matter) Harry Potter because of the witches.
He had a PS3 in, like, 2010, and the only game he had and was allowed to play was _The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian_ . He played the same level over and over. And he looked so excited whenever he played that _again_ . I seriously think his parents broke him somehow. It's like he lived in the book _1984_ , but Christian.

Yeah he was supposed to be alive and help the girls in the shadows against his sister (there was a ton of foreshadowing for Mephisto's turn). Also, there's mega foreshadowing that Bane and the mask are the true villains (greater scope villain).

@@kyleaski its not really a comparison, the issue isn't that they were mad at someone swearing, it's that they review bombed the show and stopped letting their kids watch it because of one "curse". The concept of swear words is... Stupid as is, but completely boycotting a show because a character said "hell"? They probably get mad at a lot of other non issues too and make mountains of molehills, making them a very likely Karen
For all of my lolirock fans who loved this hidden gem, it was just announced this year that there will be a season 3! An exact premiere date hasn't been released, but they said it should be done sometime in 2025!

This can actually lead to some interesting consequences, such as the dark storylines in WWE and the Satanic imagery that was prevalent during my childhood (at least from the limited sources of what I saw of WWE as a child).
More importantly, Americans, espically parents, are so trigger happy against all of media due to there being psychological studies done a few decades ago showing that children that are exposed to more violence on TV are prone to being more violent against other children and adults, as compared to those that don’t. However, I would argue that the impact is not as great as we previously found and that 1. Watching under parental supervison helps prevent violence from having a harmful effect and 2. There is less harm if they are not watching violent things constantly, every day and most of their hours.

I didn't even know the true reason the show got cancelled or postponed. Thomas Astruc worked on this show and he is now working on Miraculous Ladybug so i assumed that's why there isn't a season 3. Anyway, if it's a French show, why would they care what the Americans think? lol They can still make the show and we can watch in French with eng subs ^^

I dont know if you saw, but the official tumblr actually saw your video and made a response!! The short version of it is that they never got word from the higher ups if season three was good to go, and after waiting for so long the team had to work on other products (because, you know, money) and was quietly disbanded. They were never outright cancelled so theres still a chance a season three may come in the future, but that's the situation as of when that was posted.

Actually, smoothness does not a good animation make. As an animation student, I know how back-breaking it is to animate every single frame on ones, and i actually was thinking that it wasn't half bad, for something that was animated (likely)on adobe flash??? Animating on 2s looks really good if you are a good animator. Nothing has to be smooth to be good. It has to be understood. The animator just has to be good at using the 12 principles. I was thinking it was slightly better animation than the g3 my little pony show. I mean. It's not like this show was going to get beautifully hand drawn work, like in Sailor Moon, or Avatar TLA. But i digress. Don't say an animation is off because it's not smooth. 60 fps on hand drawn animation is g a r ba ge and actually ruins the animationnnn. It's meant only for video games and sports. And whatever sacrilege people love to commit on hand drawn work. Choppy is cool. Look at Miles Morales! He was intentionally animated just so he would look like stop motion.

I was watching Strawberry shortcake, adventures in berry bitty city cuz i found that in CDs. So, I think this girl who is named plum I think, her VA sounds like rainbow dashs VA. i dont think rainbows dashs VA matches plums voice. After all plum does own a ballet studio and shes kind of girlish?? I didnt get to see her were the voice actors cause it went to fast and i couldnt find the remote to pause it.
Oh man they actually understood what made Sailor Moon good ?? For the most part. A lot of the story beats seem to really follow along w Sailor Moon’s but it’s definitely unique and not a 1:1 copycat. It makes the Usagi cameo kinda pay off.
They just announced a season 3!! Can’t wait for 2025 when it drops!

I was reading Of Mic and Men is a old children because I never read old children books (my school have their own set of books ) and suprise the n word was use. I'm 19 and never been more suprise than that.
Maria Zapata I’ve read Jane Eyre before, and it mentions the n word there too. The reason is just because it wasn’t viewed as an inappropriate word at the time (it was still used as an insult, but black people didn’t have rights so it was thought of as okay to use).

I was so obsessed with Lolirock when I was younger, I would die for another season 😭
After finally watching this video I realized something important wasn't mentioned... Probably because of spoilers but in numerous episodes we see the twins actually become aware of their actions such as them hurting each other, needing to ask for help, or even wavering with sides and actually helping the princesses.
I found this fact really intriguing because Mephisto actually did care about the princesses and overall was a good guy who was just trying to support his sister's dream of being noticed by the big bad guy and returning home. He showed little to no hate and even stops to question why he's doing things only to be interrupted by the princesses or his own sister.
I know this is super long but I feel like he was such an important aspect of the show because he a villain with no actual evil desires or greed. He was the reason I watched the show then... (Spoiler alert)
They killed him off with the bad guy, giving his sister the revenge bad gal role. I would've definitely preferred if Prax had fallen to her death with the man she wanted approval from and watch the guy with no evil motive actually take that role... Sorry if this is a rant, I really believed Mephisto was the savior of this show. His jokes, him actually being smart, and sometimes just being so dumb he actually impresses his own sister.
Iris would’ve been the savior and basically the most literally super awesome badass and I’m not entirely sure if Mephisto ever actually cares about anyone other than his sister
Loved this show. Just wish writers wrote a complete series story instead of sequel baiting for another season that was never guaranteed.

Gracekim21 if you read the tumblr crew notes, they talked about how they were only guaranteed 2 seasons and a third was never mentioned by executives. Even if it was or popular enough to get another season, animation crews often write cliffhangers as sequel bait instead just wrapping up the main story even when they know the show is ending. If it was canceled, then I’d be more forgiving
StarrySkylar they do that because it helps raise interest and convince the execs that they need another season. It gives them the leverage of “but the fans need a conclusion! They’re so interested in finding out about the (insert cliffhanger revelation here)! They’ll be upset if we don’t get another season!”

Lolirock really reminded me of all the shows I'ved liked over the years. MLP, Totally Spies, Horseland, Sailor Moon, Sanrio, SVTFOE, Miraculous ladybug, etc etc. So when I saw it on youtube I was like "this seems so childish but...it speaks to me."
I ended up liking it a lot, it had this nostalgic feel to it, it was just really fun. I left off on season 1, heck, I didn't even know there was a season 2! I'll have to binge that now :)

On the Tumblr faq, they say that if they don't get to do a season 3 they talked about making a novel or comic to tie off the loose ends in the plot. While it's only hypothetical and just something they discussed, I still find the prospect really interesting.
I watched this show when it was airing and I LOVED IT so much. The second season was incredible. I really wish we had a third season to end everything, the second season plot twists were incredible. Ty for making a video about this and making some noise.

I used to love this show before finding out about anime. The only thing that ruined it for me (even as a kid) was how much of a Mary Sue the main character was.

Lolirock made me. Like genuinely this was my first introduction to magical girl shows and I fell in love to a degree i cannot explain but it helped my imagination grow stronger
Omg I forgot this show existed I used to watch it and I remember I got so sad when Mephisto died because he was like my favorite character
I swear, either all the good shows like the ORIGINAL Monster High or Teen Titans get “Remade” and get changed into a terrible nightmare completely changing the characters behaviors or shows that are like Ever After High or Lolirock get stopped or shut down because of parents complaining for things that no one notices or even gets bothered by other than them. For example, MH was apparently too scary and TT was too dark for children. EAH was very realistic with their doll molds and LR had something to do with a phrase no one remembers Talia saying. These shows were mostly for teens or even kids of the ages 10+, why should it matter unless if they start on cursing real bad words every five seconds!

So people really started comparing Lolirock to Miraculous. However the Miraculous fandom is really falling apart right now, and I think if they put Lolirock back on U.S. Netflix they’d get a lot more views. A minor issue is that the Lolirock RUclips page has the entire show for free right now. (I think it literally has all the episodes) I loved the aesthetic of this show, the transformation sequences are a work of art and overall the characters are really enjoyable. In any case it has much better plot and character development than compared to what miraculous has devolved into so ya. Anyway, thanks for posting this, I love Lolirock and I’m so happy to see that someone is giving it the praise it deserves.
It’s funny how just now people are waking up to the fact that Miraculous is lowkey garbage I knew that before the season 1 finale.

The Miraculous fandom is not falling apart, but the show and the creator itself. The creator is a jerk and the characters are becoming their own stereotypes (mostly Marinette).

Also, in a recent discussion in Twitter, where the fandom are claiming to see Chat Noir as a "true hero" more often, not just as a "clumsy partner" (mostly of the fandom agrees that Adrien is a really strong and deep character and he can be even more developed, and this includes more time on the screen and be able to solve thing by himself, not just depends to Ladybug to solve things), but the creator said that "he won't do this because this is a show where a girl is the main characters and by doing that he will not show an 'enpowered girl'".

This show took a big part of my childhood back in 2016 and it saddens me that they had to cancel it just because one character said “hell yeah”. It’s unbelievable to think that some parents didn’t let their kids watch it just because of that very little thing that wasn’t even so bad or vulgar in any way. This show was so memorable for so many different reasons, not because of a character “swearing” because it was show with good lessons for younger kids, I personally loved animation style, catchy songs that would get stuck in your head+free concerts at the end of each episode, transformations with sick music to go along with it and I could list off so many other things that had a positive impact but this comment would be very long- I absolutely hate when people bring darkness to shows that had so much potential, especially for a third season as we were left on a cliffhanger and, left with many questions that will be not be answered.

Even though this series was… I’m in terms of impact and having it being expensive to produce, this show has quite a following on Social Media, especially RUclips, where every episode is available. So who knows when a third season might happen.

Yeah!! I agree! I've seen quite a few people on Tik Tok posting about it and it makes me really happy. Also weirdly enough I made a playlist on Spotify for a Lolirock character and someone liked it like a week ago, just goes to show the fandom is alive I suppose.
@@ultravioletishere yeah. The Tumblr has never actually posted an official cancellation notice, so although most people treat the show as cancelled, it's not actually cancelled unless they announce it. We'll just have to wait and see is what they say. I just try not to get my hopes up too much.
