We got SOAKED as well on almost 40 miles of the Long Trail back int he mid-70's. I so love seeing you push through the muck and the mire and come out of it with a smile! Wow! You're truly amazing!

Welcome to Vermud. The GMC requests you walk thru the mud and not try to avoid it, as trying to avoid it makes a bigger mud hole. Poking ahead with your poles can help find solid places to step and avoid sinking down to your knees. As 7/10 Vermont is under water, as I'm sure you know first hand 😧
