@@FaithfulMel because you see an erudite man who was once an avowed atheist working through his own newfound belief in God. It touches on the transformation that Dr Peterson seems to be going through currently. Similar to how his own Biblical series has led him within arms distance of Christianity, Kierkegaard reached that point and decidedly says that once must reach full surrender in order to arrive at faith, and that we all must eventually face the grand Either/Or choice of being of God or of the World, and one must work out that choice in the ‘fear and trembling’ that Saint Paul writes of (Philippians 2:12). He eventually arrives at the conclusion that:
“Temporality, finitude-this is what it is all about. I can resign everything by my own strength and find peace and rest in the pain; I can put up with everything-even if that dreadful demon, more horrifying than the skeletal one who terrifies me, even if madness held its fools costume before my eyes and I understood from its face that it was I who should put it on-I can still save my soul as long as my concern that my love of God conquer within me is greater than my concern that I achieve earthly happiness.” Fear and Trembling p. 49

@@FaithfulMel Kierkegaard himself discussed his work Fear and Trembling, stating:
"In that book [Fear and Trembling] I had perceived how the leap, according to the author, as the decision par excellence becomes specifically decisive for what is Christian and for every dogmatic category. This can be achieved neither through Schelling's intellectual intuition nor through what Hegel, flouting Schelling's idea, wants to put in its place, the inverse operation of the method.[34] All Christianity is rooted in paradox, according to Fear and Trembling-yes, it is rooted in fear and trembling (which are specifically the desperate categories of Christianity and the leap)-whether one accepts it (that is, is a believer) or rejects it (for the very reason that it is the paradox)."

Jordan (who preaches either Catholic or Protestant) makes it plain that he is afraid of what just might come to fruition in HIS OWN "afterlife." “I act as if God exists, and I’m terrified he might.” ~ Jordan Peterson
If, as children, we had been indoctrinated by the following information, rather than being taught that suffering for wicked souls exists in a supposed afterlife, we would not have any fear of death.
From the book Medicine Madams and Mounties … Stories of a Yukon Doctor * 1933-1947 … Death is the final sleep … The Indians I met were used to death and dying. They saw it daily as they slaughtered and trapped animals for their livelihood. For them everything had its time, ending in death, and they could not understand our fear of dying. “Why do white people fear death?” they often asked me. “Nobody fears the onset of the unconsciousness called sleep yet you are afraid of the final sleep, death.”

What is the point of this video other than being an advertisement? Jordan is a Frasier Crane wannabe. He is an entertainer not a psychologist. Because he sells books and videos and lectures, THAT IS NOT THERAPY. He needs to address his bad conduct in courts in the case of Case 1 Sordi v. Sordi, 2009 CanLII 80104 (ON SC) he defamed a parent in court. In the case 2 R. v. Pearce, 2012 MBQB 22 (CanLII) he tried to free a murderer. Then in the case Peterson v. College of Psychologists of Ontario, 2023 ONSC 4685, he tried to avoid taking responsibility. He also tried to interfere in a family court case in Montana, the Kolstadt case, where there was a GAG order, he unprofessionally diagnosed a minor without interviews or assessments, and tried to defend unfit parents.
