I never comment but I just have to say you are my favorite asmrtist. you’ve helped me through countless early mornings and super late nights of studying, staying up with my infant daughter and I seriously cannot thank you enough!! I feel like you’re my best friend at this point. thank you for all you do.💜💜💜💜
You’ve inspired me to give The Bros Karamazov another try. I got about a hundred pages into it like ten years ago and really enjoyed it, but then life got busy and I convinced myself I didn’t have time to finish it and put it on the shelf, bookmark still where I’d stopped. And there it’s sat. ‘East of Eden’ is one of the most beautiful books ever written. I can’t think of many other times in my life I was so happy to have read something to sad.
Hey Sarah! I am a High Schooler pursuing my career in Sciences who has to manage between school preparation and college Entrance Test Preparation. Trying to mediate between those two gave me a lot of stress and I often ended up having headaches and losing sleep. Recently, I found your videos...They are soooo relaxing and make me feel so stress free as if all of my anxiety is gone. Nowadays, whenever i feel stressed and fatigued, I often jam up to one of your ASMR videos and it always helps me release all the tension and sleep peacefully. Thank you so much for making these videos!!! Lots of Love from India!!
This was probably the only and most intellectual ASMR content I’ve ever watched. I really appreciate it. I would strongly support you to continue producing this type of content (in addition to your other work, of course.) Thank you again!
You might like the French Whisperer ASMR for "intellectual" if you're into history, folklore, etc he one about the history of medicine, pretty sure he has one with space facts too
May I say that I really appreciate how you often go through all the comments and heart each one. It's so special to be part of a channel where the creator really looks for feedback. Keep being awesome!
I love your book collection series! As always it was incredibly relaxing and comforting, Sarah. Your videos are such a huge help to me and so many others. Thank you for all you do for the ASMR community!! 💜
I love used books ! Love your asmr books updates as well, it’s actually how I found your channel and I stayed for the vibe I hope you keep making those forever :D
2 celebrity deaths that wrecked me most were ALSO Steve Irwin and Anthony Bourdain. Haven't been able to watch any of their shows since, but you're inspiring me to get over that to read Bourdain's book. 💙
I’ve read this in your comment section before but I absolutely love how you light your videos. I can watch these as I’m in bed feeling sleepy without sensory overload. Thanks Sarah! 💕
Hi sarah(: i just wanted to say that your videos help me alot. Whenever i need to relax or calm down or when i need sleep, i watch your videos.and you're really like a friend to me. I actually broke my leg this week and here in iran we'rr going through alot. But hearing your voice makes me feel better, so thank you💜love ya.
I’m trying to get back into daily reading, so thanks! A celebrity death that really rocked me was definitely Kim Jonghyun. I was a freshman in high school, and my mom was the one who broke the news to me. i will never forget it
These book videos are my all-time favorite you've done, as I too am a lifelong reader. You've inspired me to go pick out something from my bookshelf after a month or so break from reading.
I remember being sooo sad when Steve Irwin died... when I was a kid, one summer, my siblings and I got into a huge fight and so as punishment we were forbidden from watching TV except for educational programs. So we watched a lot of Discovery Channel, and our favourite show by far was Crocodile Hunter, we watched an hour of it every day... we were all so sad when we found out he died...
Sadly, one of the main reasons why I deeply loved The Brothers Karamazov is exactly how deeply I resonated with Ivan all the way through the book. His analytical mind is what has him tied on the leash of despair, and his whole deep insights onto religion are exactly what has got me gradually resenting the idea of God or anything close to that kind. So maybe.. yes, maybe in order to fully appreciate a work like BK it is required to connect with one of the three-ish assets of personalities described in each one of the brothers. But maybe also not.. who knows how literature works on everyone’s mind. Nonetheless Dostoevsky is exactly that type of writer to make you writhe in your convictions.
Poisonwood Bible absolutely crushed me. Definitely some feelings I hadn't ever felt before. Awesome vid as usual, your books vids are the top in the game!
I didnt knew anything about "the last unicorn". Than one day i found the animated movie on youtube. YT just randomly recommended it to me, and i loved it. The music is amazing. Then I found out that the animation was a part of many peoples childhood. That was sweet. And I was really interested in readying it.
Man hearing about Robin Williams and Paul Walker sucked! But I think the celebrity death that really effected me the most was Chadwick Boseman. That was the first celebrity death I cried at. I was scrolling through instagram that day, saw a black and white picture of him and I was like "hey thats a nice picture of him" Then I read the caption talking about his passing. I couldn't believe it. He was such a great actor and his time as T"Challa (Black Panther) was short, but it'll never be forgotten. Wakanda Forever💪
I just read the Brothers Karamzov! I loved it. Especially all the philosophy. I’m in the midst of Crime and Punishmen nowt. The best part is the Grand Inquisitor. I think Grushenka and Katarina Ivanovna are very sympathetic characters. Plus I’ve been yelling since finishing it “l’m a scoundrel, but not a thief!”
I loooove “asmr and a good cigar”. I’ve had it on my favorites lists for a super long time. Seen the video probably ~10 times, but have never read the book.
On the Road was released in an edition based on Kerouac's original "scroll" manuscript with the actual names of the Beat figures used instead of pseudonyms a few years back. Also, knowing the QUILTBAG identities of the figures, existing mid-century when being as such was considered criminal, adds another rich layer to the work.
I have been reading constantly since the age of 2 so for 57 years 😳 I've just finished Where The Crawdads Sing. I can't emphasise enough how brilliant this book is....the authors references regarding the marsh & its wildlife were astounding 🙂
I watch a lot of asmr but no other asmr artist can let me feel so relaxed like you so i just want to say that i think i get so relaxed so darn good when i watch your videos its just that i feel ur energy thru the screen and u rlly seem like a kind, caring, beautiful person and as a extra ir beautifull too look at so thank you so much for making asmr videos sending you lots of love and respect for the effort u need to do to make these videos♥️🙏💯👸
While in a “slump,” it is hard to read. I have difficulty concentrating. Much like exercise, when you have zero energy. I appreciate you being real while you help us chill. ✌️
Just before starting to watch this video I finished my latest book and it was one of my absolute favorites this year so far: Free: Coming of age at the end of history by Lea Ypi I think this could be something you’d really enjoy as well. It’s autobiographic about the author growing up in Albania during the fall of communism. The book balances telling the story of an individual family and their struggles next to telling a story of a country so well that it felt like an in depth history lesson without feeling distanced.
If you like The Last Unicorn, there is a kind of sequel to it called Two Hearts. But beware, if you’re someone who cries from books and if TLU makes you cry, you might want to skip Two Hearts :D it made me cry hard and stayed with me for weeks.. I could listen to you talking about books forever 💚 you put things so eloquently and voice your opinions carefully, and I also love that you mention trigger warnings. I am a quite sensitive reader myself (even though of course you have to see things in the time they were created as you said) and I take issues with a lot of things, so it’s good to hear that others feel the same :) you also manage to make me curious about books that I wouldn’t necessarily have considered to pick up, so thx for that :D
Bourdain and Williams. Openly bawled my eyes out. They were heartbreaking deaths. Bourdain hurt the worst, i think because I've seen every episode of every show at least once. If i could have a glass of wine with one person no longer here it would be him. It's nie-ev-ity. 😊
I adore your videos. I actually was heart broken by Bourdains suicide. It honestly broke my heart, and I hate that I still get angry over it. Anyway love your videos! Especially as a booktuber I love that you include books in your videos!
I love your book videos. I also totally get your point on archaic mentality about women in society. That's one of the main reasons I couldn't get into Gabriel García Márquez's "Love in the Time of Cholera".
I had to read Heart of Darkness in college and write a paper on it…I remember enjoying it (I think)! I also love Kurt Vonnegut! It’s good to read the classics…I haven’t, but I admire anyone who does! Cindi (from WV). 🥰
Hello Sarah! Really love your videos, especially the book ones, you made me wishlist a lot of books already, now scavenging book markets to find them all, I really love to buy used books, it has a special feeling about it I guess. I was wondering if you have a Goodreads account? I'm really curious to find out which other books you have read and I am currently missing out on. 🤭

i might not read, but listening to you talk about them, what they're like, what you think of them, what to expect from them, is very relaxing :))
Your books videos are my favorite videos that you do!
Thank you Emma! ☺️📚💖
Sarah is one of the few people, who can get me to listen to a book review. Miracles do happen
These book videos are my all-time favorite you've done, as I too am a lifelong reader. You've inspired me to go pick out something from my bookshelf after a month or so break from reading.

Ken Follett is a personal favorite, but unpopular opinion, Books 2 & 3 that come after "Pillars" are EVEN better!
World Without End was so fantastic.
as soon as i heard On the road, i was all ears. One of my favorite books of all time
ooh the colours in this are so fall/autumn i love it- how cosy
i love all your videos but I always rewatch the book ones!!! My favorite 🥰
💜💜
Your book videos are my favorite!! I really wish you would read the Lymond Chronicles. That series is a MASTERPIECE and so few people know about it.
I didnt knew anything about "the last unicorn". Than one day i found the animated movie on youtube. YT just randomly recommended it to me, and i loved it. The music is amazing. The Last Unicorn was my favorite cartoon growing up. Love it!
Sarah love your book sharing asmr! ☺️
i love these videos so much!! lavender, are you on goodreads? or anyone else here? 😌📚
Catcher in the Rye is one of my all time faves. Another Great video Sarah, thanks!!!!

While in a “slump,” it is hard to read. I have difficulty concentrating. Much like exercise, when you have zero energy. I appreciate you being real while you help us chill. ✌️

Just before starting to watch this video I finished my latest book and it was one of my absolute favorites this year so far: Free: Coming of age at the end of history by Lea Ypi

Recently read "Rebecca" and "My Cousin Rachel" by Daphne Du Maurier. Very suspenseful and atmospheric. Would recommend
I’m glad u picked up the catcher in the rye , I mentioned it in your stream !

very relaxing!!! ✨💜
ASMR = LOVE
Third time i watch this video and i still can't name a single book because i fall asleep
Bourdain and Williams. Openly bawled my eyes out. They were heartbreaking deaths.
Bourdain hurt the worst, i think because I've seen every episode of every show at least once. If i could have a glass of wine with one person no longer here it would be him.
It's nie-ev-ity. 😊
Sarah has a new bookish ASMR video up? Immediate watch. 💕
yes we stan classic lit-!
I adore your videos. I actually was heart broken by Bourdains suicide. It honestly broke my heart, and I hate that I still get angry over it. Anyway love your videos! Especially as a booktuber I love that you include books in your videos!
I’m so sad about his suicide it’s hard to watch his old shows 😭 I’m really excited to read A Cook’s Tour next though.
And thank you!! 🥰
This was a more whispering than a book trigger 😢 But we still love you anyway ❤
Your channel is amazing!
My fav notification of the day
🥺♥️
With it being October you should do a witch (or anything Halloween) themed! :) I still love the hermione one you did ❤
Just about to start War & Peace again as I'm currently laid up with pneumonia 🤒 The Pillars of the Earth is a favourite.
I loved the Poppy War trilogy so much! I hope you can get your hands on it soon
And i really recommend reading "they both dies at the end" to anyone reading this comment. It's just awsome(:
Hello Sarah! Really love your videos, especially the book ones, you made me wishlist a lot of books already, now scavenging book markets to find them all, I really love to buy used books, it has a special feeling about it I guess.

BOOK HAUL OH HOW WE’VE MISSED YOU
Please do more book related ASMR!
Love it 😍
