He would look like he escaped a mental facility if we didn’t already know he was Christoph Waltz.

They don't teach the Meisner technique at the lee strasberg institute. Lee and Meisner didn’t get along at all and that’s why group theatre split. Of course this is main stream tv so they won’t get that.

WOW . this just shows how talented he is and this is what made him kill it in inglourious basterds ! just wow
and btw he's SOOO attractive throughout the whole video :
    -when he chuckled
    -when he was sad
-ow lord his serious face expression
-and OW GOD his laugh (I , for some reason , absolutely love it when he laughs and shows his slightly crooked teeth / mouth . I mean I like his smile too but I prefer his laugh)
-the way he goes from laughing to being serious kills me
I can go on all night ... all night (I'm so in love)

Funny . BUT ...The Strasberg institute teaching Meisner’s repetition exercise is even funnier.
A more accurate example might be - “you look like a dill pickle.”
“I look like a dill pickle?”
Yeah, you look like a juicy dill pickle.”
    Bite me.
    Bite you?
    Etc...

Reaction. Meisners all about reaction, via when acting, u become the act by reacting to a partner, group, place, thing, term, etc. This makes acting appear more authentic than pretensive & also draws in the audience more! 👍😋

Sorry but this video makes NO SENSE! He studied Meisner technique at the Lee Strasberg Studio? Meisner and Strasberg taught different techniques so why the F would you or could you study Meisner at the Strasberg studio, lol.
In any case, unless you actually studied under Meisner, you wouldn't really know what his technique was because it was constantly Morphing as he taught it as he was trying to improve upon it (as he should have been).
Unfortunately, Meisner is dead and so is his technique. He would undoubtedly roll over in his grave if he knew how much people were using his old worn and not complete lessons 50 years after his passing. Strasberg, Adler and Meisner all were trying to perfect and simplify acting based on their understanding of Konstantin Stanislawski's technique and so to carry on teaching exactly what they taught years later without any attempt to improve or further simplify is just superficial plagiarism at best, and simply exploits the incomplete works of dead people based on their reputations since most of today's acting teachers are too lazy or scared to come up with their own technique.

I definitely agree with you somewhat but I don’t think it is dead. My teacher studied under Meisner before he died and is constantly working. He has helped a lot of us grow into working actors while being a busy working actor himself. I think the technique works wonders if taught by the right person. I respect your opinion but Meisner has helped me grow not only as an actor but as a person

If Meisners dead, how was & is Christoph Waltz, Stephen Colbert, even Robert Duvall, amongst several others, so legendary (yes, Meisner technique actors!)?
I'd say Meisners being or been REBORN! ;)

      @david patrick green,
That's simply not true the Meisner Technique isn't dead there are a lot of poor teachings of the Meisner Technique no doubt but there are some great teachers out there like Anthony Montes and Jim Jarrett.

@@joshuatamirpersonal8137 It's great that it helped you but the point is these people who now teach meisner are simply leeching off his name, rather than continuing to refine it and making it their own. Meisner himself would cringe to think that what he was in the middle of creating has become countless others final products and that they were profiting off his name. He was striving for excellence and these studios who use his name are demonstrating the opposite of what Meisner promoted, which is creativity.
