There's only certain game's i bought that had that stupid microtransaction and yes even dlc. And I was a idiot for even bothering with it for example. 1. Cod 2019 2. Final fantasy 14 3. And that's pretty much it the only mmo game I bought was only final fantasy 14 and I must say it was fun and addictive. But unfortunately I was getting sick and tired of paying for subscription so I made a hard call and I stop playing the game from that day forth including Cod 2019 I told myself never again. I will tell you these game's are fun but very addictive and companies love taking advantage. And let's not forget about battlefield game's like 3&4 after battlefield 4 I was done with it didn't bother with battlefield 1&5 or even the last one that came out. Yep that's pretty much it. I wish I stop sooner and stayed clear from these game's. Now I buy certain game's that I would play and enjoy. We'll I least I didn't buy those sports game's lol I heard many stories about them.
One of the worst parts about the lack of pushback for anti-consumer buisness practices in the games industry: Nowdays many gaming fanbases often call people who DO push back "entitled complainers who are being mean to the devs" "just enjoy things"

not only this but a ton more of people also then start to argue how this 20$ skin isn't as bad because other games sell skins too for 20$. it's astonishing how fanbases often not only attack the company for theire shady practices but in parts protect them...
It works like this in any field. What happens is that shareholder interests are short term and parasitic, while building a sustainable company and good product require exactly the kind of long term strategy and investment that the quick buck crowd dislike. Going on the stock market is a death sentence for the sustainability, product quality and good ethics of a company.
...? That is every public traded company Valve for instance which everyone loves and I do as well is a private company they do not have to appeal to shareholders and have more freedom in how they can make a profit
@@chengong388 Might be good for the dev. But not good for the people who bought the game and supported him. It's not a win win situation at all. Just look at what happened with Risk of Rain 2, that's the best example.
Yeah, this will _never_ improve without strict legislation. Voting with your wallet doesn't work when there's a sucker born every minute, and the new generation of players don't even remember a time before MTX.
True and they try to become mobile, when they see the money they win, the problem is they fail to see how mobile make it as mobile or the most succesfull mobile games, realize they need the F2P players and know if they become too greedy will lost to others in a competitive market, triple AAA only see money dont care
Shotgun Farmers was the first indie game I saw with a battle pass and its so funny to me because its entirely free and it even gives u currency which could be bought with real money.
I remember the story of how Bayer AG released heroin as a painkiller without adequate long-term testing in the end of 19 century. It was a huge success-until the dark side of the product emerged. I believe we're in a similar situation today, and it’s not just games but social networks and everything built around "getting a dopamine hit".😢 It's less destructive than opioids for physical health but not less destructive for mental health
Imagine paying millions of dollars to someone in your company whose whole job is... Just firing off emails from Outlook, which is running on it's computers all day.
The gaming community has grown massively and a lot of the people who came into it late have different views on in game spending than those who once pushed back on these practices when they first showed up. People vote with how they spend money, but money also attracts more developers. I'm pretty happy as a gamer, I get more choice in my games than ever. I simply don't buy games that monetize like this, but I profit from there being so many developers making good games. It sucks that the industry is predatory, but I just don't engage with that part of it. I play more and varied games, made with powerful engines and that look great for the same money I always have.
I agree also do not forget that before gaming was a niche now game is main stream and now people wait for it, many young ones dont know that games sometimes was buy once and play, and games have re playability is so sad, and now that CEO and HR, publishers dominate the game industry until that wont change anything
I remember going to the school book fair and I would always buy the newest Cheat Code books, now Cheat Code guides don't even exist anymore for todays modern games
Similar anti-consumer things are happening in other industries... car companies asking for a monthly fee for using the heated seats in your car, for increased hp for the engine, getting updated (yet still outdated) satnav maps, etc... or tech companies brick your inkjet printer when you dont use their expensive overpriced cartridges. Amazon Prime is basically turned into traditional cable (with the ads they are now going to force you to watch) and still having to pay extra to view certain content on a per view basis (some which was viewable before with just a Prime accou t). Spotify and Apple are trying to take over podcasting and push an ad model onto it (which will eventually lead to podcasters getting demonitised or blocked like on youtube).
@@todesziege And they only watch how much money will loose as gaming you cant sustain a company like these, look they stop with microtransactions the company wont colapse but they wont stop winning million the shareholder prefer to tank the company than win some money
I honestly don’t get the appeal of loot boxes and battle passes. I’ve spent money on cosmetics, I get that 100%, coo looking skin, I want to buy it, even if it’s expensive. But if they then hide it behind loot boxes, suddenly I don’t want to buy it anymore because there’s no guarantee how much I have to pay, there’s no clear price tag so I’m not buying. Battle passes are even worse and I don’t get them at all. It’s just like not only do you have to pay money, but you also have to grind out game progress? WHY? Either make it in-game only, or just make it a simple purchasable item! If I’m gonna pay money that usually means I don’t have the time to grind, pick one!
What I find so sad about microtransactions is how it's targeting vulnerable people, be it because they are kids and thus immature or because they have an addictive behavior. Paying 25-100 dollar during a few years of playing F2P game is ok, but we know most gamers pay zero while a small share are whales - addicts - spending tens of thousands of dollar.
Indeed. Those (mostly) innocent kids don’t know what they’re doing. In china, these type of micro transactions are heavily regulated, especially in relation to kids, and it’s honestly wonderful. Although they also legally regulate children’s playtime to only one hour on schools days and 2 hours on weekends and holidays, which feels a bit like overkill. It’s a give and take I suppose.
honestly, I have just stop playing games in general, specifically games with a lot microtransaction. I literally played a 3 dollar game and enjoyed that game way more.
Apex legends is one of my favorite games and it’s dying out because of this. They prioritized making money over making the game better. Now they’re just milking what’s left of the player base
Most streamers that’s all they stream all day. Free to play games with huge micro transactions. Since it’s free their audience are much larger, so more viewers.
And that is the key free, these companies said o but mobile have them, o but mobile game have stores and microtransacitons, but they are free games, and yes they launch with little content but they are online mobile games, they will be there for a while, meanwhile a triple AAA game cost 60 to 70 dollards, they require an expensive console or pc, consoles ar enow support for five or four years they launch buggy as hell mobile games yes i see mobile games launch buggy but nothing compare with traditional triple AAA game that have sometimes patches bigger than the game, and lets not talk modern progressive game, no mobile game is greedy as hell but at least they put a game
I'm sure people on that forum back in the day thought that guy was an insane doomsdayer. But $2 for some horse armour really can cause that big of an impact. We should all keep that in mind when we give in to purchasing things we deem unethical, or turn a blind eye to small law & societal changes that could have a big impact down the line
That was me, and yes Everyone HATED me. I'd always say" well what if epic drops instead of every 15mins came every 60mins, They could Change anything, Run slower, pay to run faster, etc" No one wanted to hear it. The normies are what doomed gaming because they really brought it up. PS that post wasnt me, I was on other sites. still old man here.
The thing is EA are seen as the villan, so if we already see then as the villan, they probably think ahh may as well double down and make more money off this
One additional aspect of modern gaming sucks: developers and publishers have corporatized cheat codes. They are no longer random button combinations you have to learn from your friends or online, there is no more IDDQD or IDKFA that you just type into the game while you are playing the game. Now it's all about completing certain tasks or finding a number of collectibles and you are awarded with the OPTION to turn cheats on. I was so bummed out about Doom: Eternal that it had gone the same route where you have to activate cheats from a menu and that you have to basically earn them first. And even though the game is excellent, these decisions feel like the developers don't want you to have fun your way. They want to curate that fun and safeguard the sanctity of those precious platform achievements!
...It seems like a stretch to describe cheat codes being built into the game world as "corporatized". I have no clue what the connection between these are supposed to be. Do you just hate the concept of hidden content or something?
The first microtransaction arcade game I know of was feeding quarters into Gauntlet 1+2 for HP boost as it passively ticks down 3 HP a second while you're playing and not taking any damage.
It's quite simple: the people who buy content from microtransactions don't read/watch reviews, don't informe themselves about games, don't engage in online discussions. They're simply not here interacting with us. They're the Call of Duty, Fortnite, League of Legends or FIFA players. They don't care about the "games industry", the only content they consume is about that only single game they play. That's why so many people "hate" microtransactions and still so many people buy them. Becasue we are not the same persons.
There is some overlap (and you will find some people defending MTX in comments on videos like this), but most of MTX spending does come from "casuals".
When you bring up how gamers used to be viewed, it reminded me of when Myspace came out and I went from being made fun of for being online a lot to being asked how to do this or that like it just changed overnight how popular the internet was and it was kinda bullshit.
I've never put value on these skins tbh, I no longer care because I'm straight up not putting a penny into them. At least with CS they can be resold. I actually got dropped one like 10 years ago and it ballooned to £1k in value, so I sold it and bought 2 Steam Decks. I'll happily run around in default skins, though I do appreciate for the kids it's probably a lot of peer pressure forcing you to buy some skins for these games to "look cool"
It’s crazy that this is even an argument. That’s just a fact of life and anyone who disagrees is either a shill or is completely disconnected from reality
It's not "evil" in the sense of sadistic --- they're not causing harm for the sake of it. They just don't care that much if they do, as long as they get what they want. But similarly, most people who partake in slavery or genocide or whatever also aren't sadistic, they just "play the game" to get a better life for themselves. It is indeed a different face of evil.
Battlepasses, tasks you must complete with a deadline and you have to PAY to do them, instead of getting paid for your time. Gamers truly deserve the misery we have allowed into our lives. I would rather pay twice up front for a complete game that replaces macrotransactions with actual decent gameplay and story content, but releases are so broken/overhyped these days it's better to wait for bargain bin 3 years later. Godspeed AA indie studios, we need you.
Thanks for a well reasoned and balanced take on the situation. My only complaint would be saying these microtransactipn/battle pass system was a norm from the software industry. I’d say both software and games (also technically software - I know) both got infected by the same market virus. I remembered paying for full featured OS and Office suites back in the pre-internet days and I loved that model. Nowadays, every bloody piece of software is either an adware with some extra utilities or a monthly subscription. It’s infuriating.
Probably important to mention Team Fortress 2 (my favorite game of all time probably), which picked up right where Oblivion left off for PC with cosmetics and invented the lootbox, and unfortunately was the laboratory for trial-and-error testing all the most evil microtransaction schemes for all the companies that followed.
It’s not why they “can’t” quit microtransactions. It’s the reason why they DON’T WANT TO quit microtransactions. They are greedy and would rather scam you, rather than earn their revenue. They are entitled and greedy!
If they stripped out microtransactions the next Call of Duty would probably have to retail for $150+, if not $200. I'm doubtful there are enough people who would pay that much up front.
20:46 Sounds good, except that this is exactly what I've been doing this whole time already, and this problem still exists! The problem is, everyone else are paying these microtransactions! One man can't make a difference.
The definition of insanity is giving CoD players battle passes AND everything unlocked in offline mode. It's the prestige of owning something in the digital realm that also gets exploited. Some people have the psychology wiring to show off. And with Activision's parents now no longer a secret it's the reason why whaling is as big of a concept as it is in nearly every virtual sector imaginable.
9:49 that is not the main issue, the issue is that most games are developed to please stake holders, so, as long as there is an more profitable business model, they will adopt it.
Great content! New companies (especially indies) need to be ok with what they can make from game sales. If you don't go down this path you won't become dependent on it. My games should never need the crazy revenue that can come from this kind of IAP. I have a targeted line of what the company needs to make (not a drooling grin about what it could possibly make).
Excellent video, my guy! I'd also like to add to the table the 1 game that people actually, genuinely, maybe even eagerly spend their money on despite being f2p: Wuthering Waves. No, it's not making trillions of dollars like it's competition, Genshin Impact, BUT it is a game that, from what I've seen and heard, genuinely respects it's player base - leading to said player base spending money on in-game purchases out of good will. The company, Kuro Games, gives to them generously whenever player feedback is given, even to the point of handing out free 5-star characters! This prompts even more spending/feedback from the players and more prizes/goodies, naturally growing a healthy cycle for both (f2p) players and developers! All this to say, when put into the right hands, micro transactions can be an amazing thing for both developers and players. Kuro and its earned fanbase is such a phenomenon (one that I hope to join by Jan 2 on my brother's ps5), and I'd genuinely be interested to see what you have to say on the matter. Arguably the only instance where such a model was handled tactfully and earnestly, but that's just me....
oh man... I love MapleStory because i have Stockholm syndrome, and it saddens me to know that game is one of the reasons why micro-transactions are a norm nowdays
Same personaly i love games but seen gaming like these, and now worst if i hate modern gaming, see the ESG, LGBTQ and more crap, now if they colapse i dont care
I have only purchased two micro transactions in my life. Once was a seven dollar purchase in clash of clans when I was 7. And another was a 5 dollar purchase in Pokerstars vr (the irony is thick, I know). I have few true regrets in life, but those are two of them.
What I really hate though is that games with agressive microtransactions just work even of there's huuge backlash. Take Diablo Immortal as an example. Upon announcement and release there lots of people and RUclipsrs criticized it, but in the end it was one of if not the most successful game (just looking at the ROI) for Blizzard. And even when the monetarization became even more aggressive and they included features that some said ar pay to win, the player spending didn't go down!
3-4 years ago I just started flat out refusing to pay for any game that has these "micro" transactions in them. It's really just bullshit to call them micro when a skin is like half the price of the game itself and not just like 20 cents.. but whatever. I did originally want to play Dragons Dogma 2 for example... but haven't for this reason. Most "franchises" are just recycled shovelware anyway. I was initially expecting to feel like I missed out on a lot, but that never happened and by backlog just keeps growing. I also do not touch anything on my phone that has "in-app purchases" if there's any kind of credit system like number of edits in a editing spp, weekly/monthly subscriptions, gems, gold or anything like that. It's full permanent unlock for a single payment or nothing. If it gets much worse, I could always return to the days of my youth.
Then these companies have the nerve to get mad when gamers end up playing games from the older generation cause the games back then were actually good.😂😂
I feel like the only way to really fix the microtransaction problem is to limit the amount of monetary content allowed to be added to a game per year. This would allow games that put a low price tag or are free to still have the allowance to add content that can be purchased to fuel development and maintenance while also putting a stop to the dozens of $20 skins per seasonslop.
I think the online nature and the constant maintenance of servers and game patches makes it almost impossible for the game studios to part from this practice. Idk would it be better if the game charged a small fee every patch to keep the game alive? Would gamers be ok with that compromise.
Should games need life support? People still play old games that haven't been "kept alive" for years or decades by now, but can still stand on their own.
It _is_ a problem that they _only_ want to make money. Sure, companies always wanted to make money, but used to, to a much higher degree, be run by people who had a personal interest in games. To make money and make good games aren't _necessarily_ mutually exclusive goals (until the market made them so).
I propose get DEEPER into what all this means... Did anyone realized about how normal is "gambling" randomness and bet in games that are directed to families and child, the overused "Dice" in many games and the people that is accustomed to go a lot to places that have a pay to use services like cinemas, certain arcade games, etc... MANY people is accustomed to pay already for not so useful or worth things, now with videogames, and the many psychological strategies and artist united (Plus human stupidity) came up to what is the gaming industry, specially "biggest" games and gacha games (some are also big, like the HOYO gambling experiences behind a cool setting that looks not so boring or "grind appeal" hahaha) Edit: ah yes, just like gamers did in the past... Yeah, still being a success... So... F...
All we can do is to buy video games that are fun instead of trying to sell microtransactions to us. But I don't belive gaming will ever the same since it became casual amd there are so many people paying for ingame purchases
These greedy corporate scumbags may not be evil but they are still at best bad without a doubt. They have absolutely no business in the gaming industry and should GTFO.
Question: When these stats show microtransactions earn many times more than game sales, is this taking into account free-to-play games? If it doesn't then microtransactions aren't as lucrative as it would seem.
Can't be understated how much more you can make from a person by asking for 1 dollar a day for 10 years than 100 dollars a year in that same period. Not only is it easier to part wirh a couple dollars at a time, but also some people just might not have the bigger sums to part with. Still, i think games missed out on being consumer friendly AND making more money by having solid unlockable content to go with the purchased stuff. At any rate, I dont mind the extra purchases if a) it's all cosmetic, b) there is free, earnable stuff, and c) the games are actually fun
Battle passes are just the worst like why can’t I just play the game and play the game how I want to play the game I have to do these dumb challenges. It’s just so stupid.
yea.... that is the reason i only like indie now XD games like stardew or lethal are better then TRIPLE A games nowadays! Edit: okay in the video there is mentioned what i said XD people like indies bc you need to pay less and it is more fun
@@todesziege When buying a game doesnt mean owning the game piracy is justifie but i agree piracy wont win the war, the problem is what options we have indie and mobile will be the only one that stand, as people scream to the developers and publishers of triple AAA companys and they dont listen
@@Krysnha On a moral level I don't disagree, but in the end games can't be made if nobody pays the bill. So it's only a short-term band-aid at best. Also, indie and (especially) mobile have their own issues, and I'm not convinced of the stability of either.

DLC is still in a diffrent level from microtransactions entirely. There are siturations when DLC can have a genuinely positive impact on the IP it is a part of.
This is why I appreciate the god-tier AAA games that has no MS garbage: Stellar Blade Metaphor ReFantzio Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth Armored Core 6 ...and there are a other games Just the presence of MS in a game puts a bad taste in my mouth. I keep hearing that Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is an amazing game, yet they put NG+ behind a paywall.
They care. They're just addicts who are being exploited. The fault actually lies with the government who aren't keeping up. We need laws to hold crops accountable. These games are literally casinos going right under their noses.
imagine reading a novel, get half way thru and then have to pay at certain important points in the novel that the publisher deems 'emotionally invested, right here'. This videogame microtransaction thing seems like it should be illegal because of the manipulation of the customer behind it and the deception involved in all aspects of what they expect get from the product.
There are so many incredible games out there. Why are Earth would you choose to play a game with microtransactions? You are absolutely part of the problem. If it's traded on a stock exchange I'm not playing it, and neither should you.
I’m for content behind the paywal, not making it another live service game. They used to release expansions for games but now it’s all cosmetic or pay to skip junk
It's big corporation behavior, not companies care to interested game quality franchise product anymore and more always online games, pay once game cause companies unhappy money earn too low.
You have teens now that grew up on microtransactions. When a millennial complains about microtransactions, these teens will say "It's apart of the game". When a person says "You can earn credits by just playing the game, you know that person is who these big companies love. Earning credits playing a game is a free2play mechanic, but when they put something like that in a paid game, they implement manipulative tactics, like making the person grind like hell or pay money, even though they just bought the game. Or there's the day one DLC, which is straight up cut out content from the full game and sold back to the player. The player buys content they should of got by buying the game. It's disgusting that there's no laws against this stuff. If a person received a pizza after paying for it and it had no topping, then the shop says you can have topping for extra $. That shop would be fined for misleading the customer. I completely stopped playing EA and Ubisoft games because of their greed. I did play Anno 1800, only because it didn't have greedy microtransactions. I will buy India games these days because I know there's no munipulation tactics. I loved Far Cry, Assasins creed, total war, mostly all the big AAA games, but I just don't buy them anymore. I don't even get excited for a new AAA game anymore because I know there will be munipulation tactics in them. It's sad when a Indie game comes out that people love, then it's picked up by a big company and the sequel is filled with microtransaction, that sucks. Luckily us old school gamers have Indie games to keep us interested in gaming. The creativity is coming from Indie developers. Ubisoft is the first to fall because of their greed, but many more will follow. Indie games will save gaming.
Piracy will save gaming too. Companies have been removing some older games from sale, or even killing off community-ran "revive" projects. As an example, you can't buy Battlefield 2 anymore (unless you get a used copy or buy a "like new"/"sealed in box" copy from a collector/scalper)... but EA shut down the Battlefield Revive Project. I avoid "Live Service" games... so game companies better start catering to people like me with quality games, or I'll just flat out refuse to buy anything. lol
We gamers have gotten dumb down over the past 15 years to know our consumers' rights on these microtransactions. Thanks fellow gamers to those that stop reading and questioning.
Treat your money like you have a limited ammount, disposable income should go to your savingd not to AAA pockets, just buy games without microtransactions
I think a massive part of the future is companies expanding to multi platform releases. And recently we're seeing PlayStation and Xbox make significant progress in regards to Cloud streaming. These innovations will help get video games out there to more people. Eventually 75% of the entire global population will play video games. We're pretty much at 50% right now.
Question: Since microtransaction make up 70% of a companies revenue what are some ways to make a game have a fair microtransaction system that is both good for the player and company? I mean Helldivers 2 is a game that comes to mind, where you can buy cheap and fair priced microtransactions to get warbonds and shop armour sets, but by just playing the game you can still purchase all these warbonds and shop armour sets for free. However, I don't believe this model will suit every game, especially the multi million dollar goliaths
Helldivers 2 is a shit example TBH. It's a "Live Service" game. Bundles in "Combat Master" are a bit more acceptable. Even if the servers shut down or the multiplayer dies out, the game can still be played offline... so you can still access the bundle you paid for (granted that you didn't delete the game from your device). P2W/Gambling Microtransactions aren't the only issue, lack of game ownership is an issue too.
@@Nurse_Xochitl Well the video mainly focused on live service games, and how microtransactions have become a necessity to make money post launch release. I used Helldivers 2 purely as an example of a game that people like how its microtransactions have been implement. Arrowhead have made microtransactions affordable but not necessary to purchase. But there method I don't think would work for bigger budget games that rely on microtransactions to make the money back and then some. So my question was how can game companies balance microtransactions to make it fair for the player but still profitable for company
When everything goes mainstream quality drops are typical but... games interactive stories... We gave them an inch they took a mile now we can never fully undo this because newer generation being raised on it like it's normal...truth be told it is normal for them.
I keep seeing this. Do you have anywhere you can point me to that has a list of good indie games? I don’t want any 2d games and that’s all I ever find lol
Indies do have paid DLC as well stuff like Binding Of Isaac does they do tend to have less due to not having to appeal to shareholders but saying that all indie games do not have paid DLC or micro transactions is simply not true
Bit off on Korean influence, MapleStory and Ragnarok online were a few years before Oblivion and had massive following and playerbase, Nexon made far more money per dollar invested then western companies and that's when they started actually loojing at DLC like horse armor for offline games and In app purchases for online games . MapleStory caught up to WOW in playerbase at one point and basically did it at 1/10th the cost and 5 times the profit generated, that's what changed western thinking minds on the model . Riot has the biggest western release playerbase at over 100 million on at any time and second biggest concurrent playerbase by using the once frowned on Korean model . Otherwise great vid and your game looks cool
I don't like any game enough to buy a limited time battlepass. If I wanna play a game, I will play the game. Life is too short to play games that I'm not having fun with.
I will never understand why people buy additional add ons in game. You already bought the game, just play, get good and enjoy yourself. If you’re prioritizing micro transactions that add colorful clothes to your character, you’ve lost the plot.

Facts .
Social media companies for instance.
The message from these companies is clear: Get milked or get out.
Games aren't made for the consumer anymore, they are for the company.
It's ultimately our own fault for being so collectively stupid enough to enable these companies to keep doing this because we keep buying the shit.

The thing is EA are seen as the villan, so if we already see then as the villan, they probably think ahh may as well double down and make more money off this
It’s better than seeing them as the hero and them being able to quadruple down.
I have never forgiven EA for kicking out Trip Hawkins. Ever since then, they've been screwing up 99.9% of everything they touch.
Then just find where he is.
I think games are going back to the back of arcades.
@@somdudewillson Cheat codes went from a fun extra, or a tool for modders, to something marketed and monetized.
I'd argue that corrupting industries and psychologically manipulating people into bankruptcy in order to gain just a bit more money is kinda evil ngl.
It is, no matter how video poster sees it
It’s crazy that this is even an argument.
Great vid. fallen worlds looking good, cant wait for it
Thanks for a well reasoned and balanced take on the situation.
I love the mindset you have keep going you deserve support from us
13:42 Why did he chose the only skin from the battle pass that reaperd in the shop ?

Great content! New companies (especially indies) need to be ok with what they can make from game sales. If you don't go down this path you won't become dependent on it. My games should never need the crazy revenue that can come from this kind of IAP. I have a targeted line of what the company needs to make (not a drooling grin about what it could possibly make).
great video! hope we wont have to wait so long for the next video
I really do not care if the multi billion dollar company goes out of business because they can't exploit vulnerable gamers. Womp womp.
20:30 great choice of background music
This would allow games that put a low price tag or are free to still have the allowance to add content that can be purchased to fuel development and maintenance while also putting a stop to the dozens of $20 skins per seasonslop.
yea.... that is the reason i only like indie now XD
The problem is not that investors want to make money. The problem is that they want to make **ALL** the money.
MANY people is accustomed to pay already for not so useful or worth things, now with videogames, and the many psychological strategies and artist united (Plus human stupidity) came up to what is the gaming industry, specially "biggest" games and gacha games (some are also big, like the HOYO gambling experiences behind a cool setting that looks not so boring or "grind appeal" hahaha)
Edit: ah yes, just like gamers did in the past... Yeah, still being a success... So... F...

No. They are not good people.
Exploiting players with greedy tactics is evil.
Palpatine music on JR speeches is so fucking funny
I think a massive part of the future is companies expanding to multi platform releases. And recently we're seeing PlayStation and Xbox make significant progress in regards to Cloud streaming. These innovations will help get video games out there to more people. Eventually 75% of the entire global population will play video games. We're pretty much at 50% right now.
I fail to see how this would make things better, rather than worse.
Is Brilliant the company that produced a range of guidebooks?
@@Nurse_Xochitl also yes there are many other issues to. But that's not why I asked the question.
When everything goes mainstream quality drops are typical but... games interactive stories...
We gave them an inch they took a mile now we can never fully undo this because newer generation being raised on it like it's normal...truth be told it is normal for them.
I mean we have indies. However those who are not plugged in only ever see AAA games.
@@ejfiewfeuihefwiuwe Who said they dont have DLC?
Hold on! Did you say, GOLDEN armor???
Wake Up, Babe. Going Indie Uploaded a new video
Micro transactions are absolutely NOT going anywhere because gamers buy them. I personally DO NOT. But most people do, its sad.
the hades soundtrack in background of video is something i like
Bit off on Korean influence, MapleStory and Ragnarok online were a few years before Oblivion and had massive following and playerbase, Nexon made far more money per dollar invested then western companies and that's when they started actually loojing at DLC like horse armor for offline games and In app purchases for online games .
You renamed it from the original post so it was hard to find. I'm here cuz i saw Flats reacting to it but his video has the old title
I will never understand why people buy additional add ons in game. You already bought the game, just play, get good and enjoy yourself. If you’re prioritizing micro transactions that add colorful clothes to your character, you’ve lost the plot.
