While iwas laughing at him tryna get it attached. That was like half an hour last Saturday for me 😅 i aint even a farmer, im a mechanic, was 3 degrees and just didnt have enough ass to pull and push at the same time 😅😂 why not make it so the ring that releases the lock to be pushed instead of having to push and pull and fight yourself. Just grab the release ring and push..."but what about getting it off" make it release in both directions and defaults to lock position.
Afternoon Zach. My name's Michael and for the longest time I've been interested in agriculture and specifically farm equipment. Your channel has given plenty of enjoyment and exposure to many aspects of agriculture many people aren't aware of. Most of all I wanted to thank you for inspiring me and would like to report I'm now an intern at my local John Deere dealer (Everglades equipment, you've been here before). It's been an amazing experience and I'd like to thank you again for feeding that fire in me. God bless, stay between the rows.
@smudge6001 I don't know that dealership but anything with everglades in the name can only mean one place. Good luck on your new career choice. It's needed in FL
I'm always impressed at the lack of swearing when you're struggling to accomplish a task. It's amazing you ever get anything done. I can't get f@(!ing s#/t done without cursing like a pirate.
Church clothes and Sunday dinner with wine..😉😎{I understand, I am Licensed IL Administrator (nursing home) and Pastor-- SAGU -Arkansas in Roscoe, Illinois [Rockford, IL]}
You know whats worse then that cold? Getting that cold and a bunch of snow then warming up and getting rain, then getting really cold and snow again, then more rain. This winters been a joke in the northeast
I SOMEHOW feel lots better -- that the young Zach, a big, fella 20 or so years younger than me, still has difficulty putting a PTO shaft on. I LOVED that part of the video, I feel better about myself now.
Zack. It's good that you make these videos for your dad to watch in warm weather and watching you struggling 😂 he's saying been there did that 😂. Keep up the good work 💪
I got tired of fighting pto shafts on seasonal equipment and found it helps a lot to remove the shaft at the end of season and store it inside. THen hook up, bring the equipment inside and install shaft. Clean it, lube it, have it ready to go when you need it.
I would like to find whoever designed the 3pt shaft setup and watch them try to hook it up a few times. They’ve obviously never had to actually use their design. I wouldn’t call it pleasure to watch you struggle with it, but it admittedly made me feel good knowing it’s not just me.
Somedays, the PTO on my mower goes on like warm butter on bread. Other days, I go through a can of lube, a dozen rags, a big hammer and then maybe it will lock in.
Suggesting you cut holes on opposite sides of the pto plastic bell safety guard for your thumbs. That way both hands can pull retainer and push pto on at the same time. The holes also make greasing the u- joint easy. And please, don’t grease the pto slide tubes. Only lube it with a spray like JB 80 or something. Grease gets too gummy for slides in cold climates. Who knows, maybe next time that pto may fall on!
I did the tractor plowing for awhile. Wasn’t too enjoyable. Then broke down and put the plow on the GMC. Love plowing that way.. tshirt, stereo, satellite radio. Fun!
On our farm we would use some old tractor tires to compress the snow so when snowmobiles would drive around they would have gravel in the track or dulling the carbides.
In all seriousness, Zach…..when you had that shaft in your hand to change it from 1000 to 540, that is a good time to take that 540 end and try to gently place it into the receiver, and that’s also the time to apply lubricant to both pieces. Something I picked up on our farm when I was 11 years old.
Those darn uncircumcised pto shafts are a pain, trying to pull back the skin...... I mean clip and push the shaft in can be tricky. On a boring day when weather is better I found cleaning the old grease out and replacing it with winter grease or white lithium grease is amazing for winter.
I love your “creative wiggling” and educational/ teachable moment about frozen water! Your one-handed farm chores while running YT cameras and squeezing into tight spots when you are full-develop Millennial Farmer simply hilarious!
13:17 I actually like cleaning snow more than I like mowing. Mowing you have to do every week. Snow I only have to do like 5-10 times a year. But last year we got nearly a record amount of snow and it sucked.
Maybe you could mount a leaf blower to a large RC car and program it to blow the melted snow in the shop to the drain? You can put a colored stripe on the floor for the car/robot to follow!
Sorry for your pain Zach. Next time maybe leave the plow in garage until the metal warms up and it will slide right on. Or use a heat gun to speed up the process. They are way tighter when cold.... That's what she said.
You know it’s cold. When it’s fucking cold! That simple I worked in North Dakota as a welder and some winter morning were horrible with the added wind. Have a welding hood that is insulated and sealed to help keep me from dying in the extreme cold. Oh that is styx by the way.
Why my grandpa has extra tractors. His friends ask him why he wants a certain tractor. He says I’ll sell that tractor when you show up every time to hook or unhook everything
Heres a thought, before snow arrives why not hitch up snow blower. We know the snow comes every year right. Im sure you got the space to store lovely green machine and blower inside . Thanks
Seriously! I bet no farmer ever thought of doing that what a great idea, maybe you could pop round and do that next year for him. Not too early in the year just before the snow comes 👍😂
Hello, love your video, you say you don't like the idea to work in cubicle and lucky me I work from home for Danone and travel a lot for our co=manufacturd, fun job
Why is it so entertaining watching someone struggle with a pto. Thank you Millenial Farmer.

Because he’s a actor not an actual farmer
Your right. Cold is cold Zack. No matter where you are at. I was in Korea n it snow alot n it got down pretty cold when I was in the army
makes me love my 9n ford and the ability to spin the shaft on the tractor with it disengaged and engine off makes hooking up a breeze
Once I setup the pto on the blower, the blower stays on, snow or no, it stays on. F that thing
Zac, I think every viewer who has fought a PTO felt your pain. Cheers from a 32c Australia. 👍👍🍻🇦🇺
I can beat that 32c we had -35 as a high for a few days and a -40 over night. Cheers from the not so great white north.

Check out Larson Farms and Fast AG as well. Excellent people
@@adamsherm29 will do, thank you !
Good for you you will have a great career for a long time😊
Grant Hilbert and Spencer Hilbert are two young farmers finding their way in farming as well. Pretty cool to see their journey!

Trust me, he does plenty of it😂
You should meet my dad and uncle
Just remember when its cold to avoid trailer hitch to shin contact as much as you can. It just hurts more when its cold out. =)
You know whats worse then that cold? Getting that cold and a bunch of snow then warming up and getting rain, then getting really cold and snow again, then more rain. This winters been a joke in the northeast
Great to see you fighting the PTO shaft.....I hate hooking them up!
Someday someone is going to invent a better PTO shaft connection and get filthy rich!
I SOMEHOW feel lots better -- that the young Zach, a big, fella 20 or so years younger than me, still has difficulty putting a PTO shaft on. I LOVED that part of the video, I feel better about myself now.
You're welcome 😂
I love how honest you are. Good bad or ugly

Please tell me you got the mower inside before it snowed. I don't know if we can handle another mowergate controversy!
I want to know where he's taking that load of snow
Minnesota.......😉😎
Classic!!😂
And to think harmless farmer put those pto shafts on with his feet.
Unbelievable!
I miss that man.
So happy when you post!
STYX renegade, after watching you for so many years I'm convinced our music library must be identical
Was waiting for the "that's what she said." You didn't disappoint. Thanks for that.

Zach, your honesty “NumbNuts” was hilarious and that is how I think! Stay warm and safe!
😂😂 At 13:30 where Zach says they have Snow to haul out😂😂
You beat me to it. 🤔
I can appreciate what you are going through with your shoulder.
$65,000 sitting on that trailer!! F’ing crazy!!
Great video Zach. Thank you
Good to see you're not frozen in this time of the year. Keep warm Zach.
Zach with the size of yard you have you need a snow pusher that extends up to 16 ft for lighter snow falls you can bring it in for deeper snow.
@ 13:32 you say you have some snow to hall out where do you hall your SNOW ? I am sure you meant grain
Lake Michigan 😂
A freshly plowed driveway in the winter feels better then a mowed yard, let me tell you, when you live in the snow 1/2 the time.
I hear ya on cortisone shots! I have been getting them in my right shoulder since 2017, having reverse shoulder replacement surgery in March.
Good ol Styx! ❤️
Struggling with a PTO is a universal experience for farmers, keeping it real!
Only to get it apart to apply grease to it, so you don't lose the universals.
I despise them big or small
Some of us non farmers have fought with a few too.
...and this is why Andy Detwiler was a man among men.
Percussive maintenance.... works every time!
There's two different types of people. Those who have struggled with a PTO shaft, and those that haven't ever touched one.
It was a pleasure 🙏
Love the Styx!
Cortisone shots are so bad it’ll actually deteriorate the rest of the joint! I recommend Monavie Active Supplement for joint pain I know it works!
I like that song too
Somedays, the PTO on my mower goes on like warm butter on bread. Other days, I go through a can of lube, a dozen rags, a big hammer and then maybe it will lock in.
Thanks
Great video

Two small buttons on the opposite side of each other of the PTO is even worse, Ohh i feel the pain
Hello from UK
Great editing by Mrs Millennial Farmer at 12:15 🤣
I thought you said we have to haul snow next week….🤣🤣. Keep up the good entertainment 👍👍
Zack. Welcome Back.. Missed you...
Weather all haywire here in Scotland ,minus 12 c few days ago ,12c today and to be back to frost next week but better than continuous rain
Interesting video.👍❤️🇨🇦
That's a nice Ranger.

I had to laugh at the pto iissue because I live it every time I put the brush hog on my tractor, the geometry makes it nearly impossible.
Awesome 😎
This dog looks just like .y brothers dog Aria. He is also a milenial farmer!

learning from watching thanks🚜

Hey Zack….Nice time-lapse snow removal. This episode was entertaining and winter creative footage. And “No body died”.
Hi Zak yet again another great video been a couple of weeks now have you got more on the way keep up the good work cheers John
I just finished binge watching all 593 of your vids…keep up the great work!
That's awesome! Thank you!
Your right it feels way colder when its the first real cold snap. Styx 80s throwback
Styx "Blue Collar Man" ... all the best from Arkansas!!!
Nice to see you posting Zack.
I live in Tennessee, and it got down to -13 F last week. You sir can have all of that you want. -13 is cold, no matter where you are at.
This was recorded last week before the cold.
Just keep up the good work and keep the snow out of the yard.. The sliding PTO is normal for cold weather. I like the video.
Coming from NW IA we had -20 degree weather with -45 degree wind chill last week! 😂 Talk about a Midwest winter!
13:17 I actually like cleaning snow more than I like mowing. Mowing you have to do every week. Snow I only have to do like 5-10 times a year. But last year we got nearly a record amount of snow and it sucked.
precision persuasion
Zach i feel for you up there in the frozen tundra. Cant say i miss it but that Kansas song really is an awesome tune. Stay frosty my friend 🚜🚜
That's what's nice about living in southern Arizona.
How’s it going enjoy watching miss it when you’re not here
Some snow to haul out? Snow on the mind Zack?
Stopped at 2:40 to let you know it's "Renegade" by Styx. Now on to watch you struggle with the PTO....been there, done that.
We have been missing you and your bunch. I know you have been racing a lot.
A great show my husband works for a large farm in Batavia NY
Maybe you could mount a leaf blower to a large RC car and program it to blow the melted snow in the shop to the drain? You can put a colored stripe on the floor for the car/robot to follow!
When did you start hauling out snow
The BMFH is the go-to tool to fix something!😂
PTO struggles even for you!! Thanks for sharing
🦅 Johnson from Juno so far January snowfall 69 inches love your content
Ak
13:31 got some snow to haul out lol
Good videos

I know the weather not the best in your area but we need more video's.
Almost thought the entire video was going to be the fight with the PTO shaft! 😂😂
Wise men say always separate PTO shafts when out of season, and put them back together with grease or never seize.
We had -40F few weeks ago here in Finland
City dude here enjoying the hell out of your post, you go bro…
Weather is going to be nice in Minnesota, while you are in Arizona.
Why my grandpa has extra tractors. His friends ask him why he wants a certain tractor. He says I’ll sell that tractor when you show up every time to hook or unhook everything
Use some of tht dry lube in the sliding of ur pto! Pull it aways apart and spray under plastic! I'll thank me next time!
I'm just glad to see you pro's struggling with pto shafts to lol.I thought I was old and stupid.....
Heres a thought, before snow arrives why not hitch up snow blower. We know the snow comes every year right. Im sure you got the space to store lovely green machine and blower inside . Thanks

I’m in Virginia n I was out in shorts n tennis shoes and no shirts at 4:30am n it was 10 degrees
Nice Vid!
Hello, love your video, you say you don't like the idea to work in cubicle and lucky me I work from home for Danone and travel a lot for our co=manufacturd, fun job
We just had a week of -10 down here by the dome you raced in! Now it is back up to 50 and so dern foggy you can't see a 1/4 mile.
Try fluid film I think you will be surprised how well it works
Song was Styx Renegade
How much would it cost me to get a load of that snow delivered down south? We would all love to play in it for the few hours before it melted.
