The Boncel is my second favourite Sansevieria in my collection. Most favourite is my Variegated Whale Fin. My Boncel gets about 5 hours of direct sunlight per day and it's growing like a weed.
As soon as I started the video I RAN to my kitchen and grabbed mine to see if it was the same(she is)! Love that you always happen to post these videos soon after I get the plant! The synchronicity ✨
I always thought this was a low light plant, but you've totally explained why the newest offshoots have looked so spindly - I moved it immediately. Thank you!
Many thanks for this video! Very enjoyable to watch. I have four different species of this family and they have all been a joy since day one. My Moonshine pushed out four pups and a second Sansevieria pushed out two pups while I was on vacation two weeks ago. 🥰 They sit beside each other in a large east facing window with no obstructions for the sun. Your plant is gorgeous! 👌🪴🥰
Hello, I bought a Boncel, from a online shop. It turned out that when I got it, the plant had a baby of her own with her! I was thrilled at first; but then I realized that they were both in trouble. The shop had her in a very small grow pot. There wasn't enough soil, let alone nutrients to support both of the plants. The baby was about 2 inches in width and about 3 in height. I didn't think that was big enough for me to separate them. However, it was necessary because of the poor condition the mother plant was in. It turns out that there was enough of a root from the mother plant to give the baby its own pot. Now both are doing extremely well and I find myself smiling every time I look at them. Great to see a video on the Sanseviera Boncel. The information was wonderful and timely. Thanks for sharing!
I love this plant. I've had mine about 2 years now and it was tough in the beginning to get to know what it liked lol. Thanks for sharing! Its always so great to see you and your plant collection ❤️
Thanks for the video…I love mine and I don’t see much out there on these. I recently moved mine to be closer to another sans but I’m going back to the window sill 👍I love how the plant jumps off the color of your shirt. Since you don’t give close up shots I think the background color factors into our view of the plant. I love that planter but it looks like sooner than later you’ll be doing a repot or surgery. I have mine in an off white terracotta pot and I love the look.
Hi! New subscriber here, and I love and appreciate your content!! Trust me when I say I have watched so many channels, they're great, but I just love your authenticity!! Thank you!
Haha I wanted to kiss you when you went off topic talking about babies. Haha the love for plants is so real, for all plant parents. I find myself giving a joyous and celebratory congratulations smiles and little jug and say “welcome to the world” whenever I see a new baby anything come in (plants wise). Never apologize for sharing passions and being you :)
Thank you for the detailed video ! I recently got a tiny plant in a small nursery pot. When I move the pot, the plant seems wobbly (top-heavy). Also, I see that there is 1 root coming out of the drainage hole. And I see a tiny root (hairlike above the soil as well, at the base of the plant) Does it mean I need to repot it? And how do we find out if the plant requires repotting. Thank you again !
I grow mine in the bathroom, it has a northfacing window. It sits abot 1-2 meters from the window and gets neglected for the most part. It grows A LOT. I rarely water it, but it gets humidity from the shower 🚿 it makes new babies all the time 🪴 just repotted one of the babies and put it in the living room to see it there’s a growth difference 😅 (southeast windows)
Hi Nick! I had a small Boncel, but made the mistake of wetting the soil when I repotted it and it died. There was a pup, too, that made it, but not looking great. I love snake plants and have quite a few. I'd love to find the silver leaf ones. Thank you so much for sharing!
Love watching your videos. I have a question about my sansevieria. It has these tiny drops of sticky looking water droplets and I'm wondering why and if it's normal

I put mine put in full sun in th summer. It really amps up the growth speed
Ya looks like I need to take that into consideration for mine as well.

I like how you couple each plant with the perfect complimentary planter. You have quite the artistic eye!
That’s gorgeous Nick!
Thank you

This is one of my favourite Snake Plants, and I agree definitely set and forget!

"Bon sell", not "Bon kell". I wish it were "Bon kell", it sounds way funnier. Bonkle bonkle bonkle. Love the videos, you have tons of cool plants!
💚💚💚💚thanks for the knowledge. OneLove ❣
Love mine, so easy and so cool looking!
Nice. Very interesting video!
Very nice Nick.
Just pick up a small one today.

If a cylindrical leaf breaks, can you rejoin them with tape? Also why is it that when you propagate the new leaves aren’t perfectly cylindrical?

I have these in low ambient light for over a month now and they’re growing new shoots. I think they do fine in low light.
Can a pencil thin leaf ever get bigger and plumper?

💚
I loooooove! 🤩
Wow mine never looked so beautiful.
💚💚
It definitely isn’t a low light low water plant. I killed mine 😩
Dude, this is all over the place.
Better preparation next time.
Will always support you, no matters what.
Nick, you need to repot your plant. If you keep your plant the way it is you are committing plant abuse.
