I liked the analogy of driving a car, I totally reversed and hit a sign instead of driving correctly, but I'm improving even with 180 ping... I'll see how much it goes with GearUP and come back here to tell you how it went.
I hate that sometimes the swap-cancel for echos are buggy or whatever, like occasionally my dreamless would just go absolutely nowhere and deal 0 damage to go on cooldown I’m like what happened.
I think dreamless needs to hit the first attack and then only you can swap cancel right? Kind like the ape also disappears if you swap cancel too quickly.
Constantly having to switch characters at the top right corner of the screen for every singular Move canceling....and the order of the characters are not in their original position as you put them...different from Genshin. So you will accidentally pick the wrong character thus messing up your Outro Buffs
i recommend learning to use more fingers. i dont really think mobile gaming is doable with 2 fingers unless its casual gaming. even just using 3 fingers is a big help. (also alot easier than 4 or 5 fingers)
I like quick swap teams if I'm using under invested characters, it allows me to basically skill diff certain enemies that otherwise I wouldn't have the DPS on one individual character to pass. On the other hand, I'm a very lazy gamer, in the way that I'd rather just click basic attack over and over and over again and know that my character is going to kill everything without needing much thought going on in my head, unless I'm specifically having a tryhard session like my once a week TOA clears
I completely agree and I don't know if swap cancelling was intended to happen in so many situations. I mean, it's obvious it was intended for the extra long animations like Encore's (which even states in the description that you can leave the field during the charged attack) and Calcharo's, but was it really intended to happen with Yinlin other than during her charged attack? Maybe the change they did to her passive (which used to apply her outro buff for the entire duration, even if the "introing" character left the field and came back afterwards) might even have something to do with that too (though it ended up indirectly nerfing Calcharo), trying to make swap cancelling an option, but not a necessity.
4:44 tell me you american without telling me you are american, and for me i quickswap calcharo en yinling until i have concerto or her heavy atack and on calcharo if i use ult i quick swap on the 2 heavy atack cause you usually dont do the 3 one unless the boss is stoped so idk but probably like 80 to 90% of you damage is already dealt so why not , also use jianxing as the support so i just ult with yinling as soon as i swap, but yhea i agree that ping makes a lot things dificult and to be honest since the nerf i dont see mutch upgrade in doing this mechanic alot of the time
This is definitely something I could consider, but I think it might be more beneficial to focus on specific teams and characters that mesh well together and go in-depth on their quickswap roles.
I love quickswap, Encore is soo strong playing like that. Probably I'm going to do tower full stars once I get her to lv80. Because I only need 2stars in the middle tower.
Maybe if they have Button Remapping on Mobile, Quick Swapping will be a lot easier..? 🤔 Like in PGR where i can put QTE bots closer to my movement thumb or just enough above orbs..
Wasn't quickswap playstyle only a 10% difference in dmg in Calcharo + Yinlin team specifically? I'd say players should be rewarded for learning complex mechanics rather than being punished with a buff nerf. It's not like casual players are forced to use quickswap playstyle. Playing non-swap playstyle still clears the game just fine. This is like when genshin casual players wanted less endgame content even though it had nothing to do with them. This only pisses off the serious gamers who wanted challenging content.
The problem with what you're saying is that 10% is actually a lot when it comes to team DPS. If the content in the game becomes "too easy" for players using quickswap playstyle, then any content balanced around quickswap becomes too hard for players not using quickswap. If quickswap was the only way to beat the endgame content, it would turn a lot of players off to the game due to its difficulty and technical knowledge required. When casual players are a huge portion of the playerbase, it's in Kuro's best financial interests to keep the game accessible by nerfing the tech.
@@saintontas I never suggested quickswap is the "only way to beat the endgame content". Even you mentioned Jiyan team can focus solely with 1 unit on the field. That's why I said non-swap playstyle can clear the game just fine. Therefore this statement is not relevant to what I said. 10% in a vacuum may seem significant. But if BOTH swap-cancel and non-swap cancel playstyle clear the game just fine, then that 10% becomes negligible in comparison. Most players will not care if you clear a couple seconds faster if both types of players 3-stars their TOA runs. If casual players don't even bother to learn complex mechanics, i doubt they care about clearing a few seconds faster after already 3 starred their runs. As referenced in your video, there are downsides to quickswapping such as missing parries and conflicting intro/outro skills in your rotations. I'd say that's already balanced so that swapping is not always optimal. It will never be "too easy" for quickswappers because the game revolves around more than just swapping. It's not like we've never seen Sanhua SOLO tempest mephis V before. Playing around your Forte skills and timing parry is probably more important. So if both quickswap and non-quickswap players can clear the game just fine, then all that's left to consider as a game designer is how we can reward players for putting in the effort to master techniques without diminishing the value of their efforts. Don't spit on players that put in their valuable time in learning how to play your game.
@@SpeshoFX the difference is huge. if you or someone can 'clear the game fine' as is, then good on you. but that 10 percent difference is huge for a large swathe of players who are not yet 'clearing just fine'. and what are you considering 'clearing just fine' in this scenario? 30 star clears are not yet normal, and for most unachievable at this point. any non whale who gets 24 or above right now is playing some next level out of their mind shit.
@@SpeshoFX I don't see what the problem is when currently quickswap is the best team DPS on live for the Calcharo/Yinlin team. The only thing Kuro did was bridge the gap between the two playstyles and make players not using quickswap not feel 'as bad' about not practicing those mechanics. It's still the best way to play the team, just not to a degree as large as 10%.
@@SpeshoFX You also have to factor in that quickswap is almost unplayable on mobile. It wouldn't be great optics if a 10% team damage increase was locked behind a keyboard and mouse.
Absolutely. Sometimes on Calcharo the only option you have is to 1. Dodge and cancel Death Messenger (huge dps loss) 2. Tank the hit 3. Swap-cancel for less damage because of loss of buffs Even if your playstyle isn't centered around quickswap it's always good to use it sometimes when the situation calls for it. The fact that there are so many options is what makes this game's combat so engaging.
It's an S-tier playstyle IF you are a capable player. Think wavedashing in melee or complex button inputs in a fighting game. If you're good, they increase your potential exponentially, but if you aren't doing it right then you're just wasting your time and probably making yourself play worse. It's up to you where you are on that spectrum.
It literally depends on what you are doing. If you know what you are doing by quick swapping, it could be S tier. But if you just swap to look cool, it is useless 😂
u say that like u r on the dev team, while they shouldnt overtake a more conventional and easier playstyle for the sake of players on other platforms. doesnt mean it cant act as horizontal powercreep/progression, its not hard to balance numbers, its hard to create character kits that enable both, but not impossible.
So basically quick swap = skill issue, let casuals play casually, how can they complain not being able to clear content when theyre just playing casually? they will eventually clear it, let players who learn mechanics keep their rewards, saying quick swapping needs to be nerfed is such a backwards thinking mentality in my opinion
I believe quickswap is still a DPS increase for several teams even after the outro skill nerf, just not to as high of a degree as in prior versions. There's also teams like Havoc Rover/Encore that had no major dps change since their outro skills are damage-only.
