Jim is just your normal mountain folk willing to help someone else when he has lost a lot himself. I live in North Carolina and it bothers me to see people struggle with all the government red tape and people have lost everything they own including loss of life.
This is overwhelming! The amount of loss these folk are suffering. It cost a lot to rebuild. Walk in their shoes. It takes money ,materials and man power to re build and clean up. All of this area has been changed. Their live have been turned up side down.

Just getting water, sewer, roads and power back to these people has been a daunting task I'm sure. They can set up military tent camps in a day. But they didn't call out the military right away like they should have the organization was extremely poor.

It hurts trying to talk to people who have been hurt so heavily. We have to do everything we can to make sure he's not forgotten and that if good people want to help, they can.
How did greedy individuals become able to take over all these people properties? They used the tax records to find all the properties that have mortgages on them. Then contact the mortgage companies to find out what was still owed on the properties. They told the mortgage companies they were trying to purchase the property. They would contact the mortgage companies to pay off the loan. Once they paid off the mortgage loan they became the new owners of the property.
I live in the hurricane area of NC, when these houses flood and stay wet for a little while black mold sets in and it’s very bad to be around, you have to go in and strip all of that out down to the studs and rebuild or at least that’s what they do here on the coast

The tragedy that's happened here and much of it is how our own ppl of our own Govt have responded or lack of response and has only added to the Lahaina event and how they were treated. The same. You don’t understand what they call a river in that area of the country is about a foot to 3 foot deep. They’ve just gotten wider. They’re not rivers like you’re probably thinking that are very deep and can control that much water and everything there is either valleys or hollers or peaks so all the water when it rains runs down into the valley that’s what happens

Trump set up a GoFundMe for these people the day after it happened. He was on the ground with Samaritan's Purse and semi truck loads of food, water and fuel the day after also. The GoFundMe raised like 10 million dollars. Samaritan's Purse has been on the ground ever since if you want to volunteer it's a good place to start. They are very organized.

I am not there, but I think it is kind of important to talk about and discuss an AAR to learn for future events that happen where no one knows what the heck to do, where to start, how to organize the chaos. Hopefully at some point that can be done. Everything has been done on a wing and a prayer, I am in awe at how well people have pulled together and managed to do what they have done to keep moving forward. Paid, professional, organized, emergency teams ready to handle anything w/rebuilding teams and materials is what needs to be created, in other words what FEMA and the gummint should be doing. I have been providing emotional support and love for the ladies at my church who all lost loved ones. So, nothing is broken inside me. flood insurance is a joke nothing on his property would be covered by it. went through the same thing on west coast. plus there is a limit on the amount of money that they pay. 250,000. dollar limit. no matter how much it is worth.

How did greedy individuals become able to take over all these people properties? They used the tax records to find all the properties that have mortgages on them. Then contact the mortgage companies to find out what was still owed on the properties. They told the mortgage companies they were trying to purchase the property. They would contact the mortgage companies to pay off the loan. Once they paid off the mortgage loan they became the new owners of the property.

I live in the hurricane area of NC, when these houses flood and stay wet for a little while black mold sets in and it’s very bad to be around, you have to go in and strip all of that out down to the studs and rebuild or at least that’s what they do here on the coast
I feel that this man is clearly still in shock. As i am and I'm in Oklahoma. The tragedy that's happened here and much of it is how our own ppl of our own Govt have responded or lack of response and has only added to the Lahaina event and how they were treated. The same. It is through these 2 situations that I've come to realize that the ppl of America have been declared the enemies by it's own Govt and that they have clearly declared war on us. I believe our GOVT has been usurped and it's actions speak clearly. The question is what are we the people going to do wait until it's to late to decide to respond? I think it's through actions that people can see clearly what's happening in our country and there is a window to decide to stand or bow. Once the window closes therel no longer be a choice. They’re not rivers like you’re probably thinking that are very deep and can control that much water and everything there is either valleys or hollers or peaks so all the water when it rains runs down into the valley that’s what happens

Trump set up a GoFundMe for these people the day after it happened. He was on the ground with Samaritan's Purse and semi truck loads of food, water and fuel the day after also. The GoFundMe raised like 10 million dollars. Samaritan's Purse has been on the ground ever since if you want to volunteer it's a good place to start. They are very organized.

I am not there, but I think it is kind of important to talk about and discuss an AAR to learn for future events that happen where no one knows what the heck to do, where to start, how to organize the chaos. Hopefully at some point that can be done. Everything has been done on a wing and a prayer, I am in awe at how well people have pulled together and managed to do what they have done to keep moving forward.
Paid, professional, organized, emergency teams ready to handle anything w/rebuilding teams and materials is what needs to be created, in other words what FEMA and the gummint should be doing. Leave it to the private sector to make it happen and get it done for any future disasters.
