I went to school with Rebekah, I didn't even know she was trans until I found out on the internet. If you ever meet her in person she is truly so kind and so caring and absolutley HILARIOUS! And as someone who came out as Non-binary about a year ago, I'm very happy she's doing this for the community!

I'm a Christian myself, and I'm an advocate for transgender kids. I'm 60 years old now, and I get so jealous of kids who understand their differences from others in today's world. This is an update. There is another video from 4-5:years ago. the child is xx biological male to female. The parents put the child on the blockers before the child entered puberty. Thats why the child completely passes looks wise as a real female.

I don't agree with transgender females/biological males being on the sports teams, BUT if Rebekah had hormone therapy starting BEFORE puberty, then this would make a HUGE difference. @LegendarySiege I don't think it's "change" when a child insists on who they are, as Rebekah did from a young age; it seems like she was always a girl. Maybe kids shouldn't be treated differently based on gender, though, which would allow trans kids and others to dress how they want, go by a name that feels right to them, and do all of the things that other kids get to do. Maybe we should let kids be *kids* (emphasis on the gender-neutral language) rather than labeling them as "boys" and "girls" and making them follow different rules.

The real abuse would be forcing her or any other trans person to live in the body that causes crippling self hatred and dysphoria sometimes to the point of suicide. You can never be to young to know that you are not comfortable with yourself. All I see when I look at her is a regular teenage girl because that is what she is. If you allow a cis girl or cis boy to live life as who they were meant to be, why wouldn't you let a girl or boy who just so happens to be trans live life like that. He seems like a wonderful, likeable, exceptional and naturally joyful child. The weight of this nightmarish decision falls upon the parents and for some reason I'm guessing they feel hard pressed into supporting him. "He learned transgender from the internet and it fit"? @LegendarySiege I don't think it's "change" when a child insists on who they are, as Rebekah did from a young age; it seems like she was always a girl. Maybe kids shouldn't be treated differently based on gender, though, which would allow trans kids and others to dress how they want, go by a name that feels right to them, and do all of the things that other kids get to do. Maybe we should let kids be *kids* (emphasis on the gender-neutral language) rather than labeling them as "boys" and "girls" and making them follow different rules.
All Dixiecrat/Republican legislators (State and Federal) should be sent this video. Look at her happy face. Look at the happy faces of all trans kids and adult I have seen. There is a video of a citizen addressing the Missouri state legislature telling them "I realized I had a child who never smiled)" when talking about his trans daughter when he did not support her.

The real abuse would be forcing her or any other trans person to live in the body that causes crippling self hatred and dysphoria sometimes to the point of suicide. You can never be to young to know that you are not comfortable with yourself. All I see when I look at her is a regular teenage girl because that is what she is. If you allow a cis girl or cis boy to live life as who they were meant to be, why wouldn't you let a girl or boy who just so happens to be trans live life like that. There is science behind being trans that has been proven, people just need to open their minds up to the idea trans people exist.

Rather than promoting pronoun preferences and lifelong programs of change that will affect school-aged kids at the very core of their unfolding understanding of themselves and where they fit within the modern era, there should be a campaign to strike the words empower and empowered from the formative curriculum of maturing minds and bodies. At an age where a reliance on the experience and grounded wisdom of those who teach the young about the facts of a world and, God willing, the life skills required to navigate many decades of personal, philosophical, and physical change within themselves and in the societal culture around them, we should be very weary about inhibiting natural development or stimulating physiological changes that become hardwired into the processes of thought and physical expression.

The weight of this nightmarish decision falls upon the parents and for some reason I'm guessing they feel hard pressed into supporting him. "He learned transgender from the internet and it fit"? No one can hide behind smiles and excelling and normal kid behavior when their inner life is such turmoil that they can not accept their own gender. This was so hard to watch. In time his decision to play pretend her, will catch up and i hope his parents will have the strength, heart and wisdom to redirect him and admit they were wrong.

This video does not provide crucial information about the case of transition and to me is just a propaganda. I would need to see records indicating what was original gender of the child and have any medical action been undertaken hormonal or surgical. All we can see a child that allways seemed to be a girl and you see nothing that describes her life status sice she was really little. Very suspicious is her activist like mother that is not a trust worthy and has a controlling personality dominating the pastor who barely said few words, I am not sure who is the man in that family.
